  1. Re: Manchester City v Aston Villa > Saturday April 25th The only thing that is putting me off betting Villa here is that they still might be riding the high of the Cup victory and maybe have not been as focussed toward their preparation for this league fixture. I can see Tim Sherwood being the type of person to either bollock a team or praise them very highly, and I imagine it was much of the latter after the semi-final victory last weekend. But then on the other hand, Villa should be going into this game confident and thinking they can get all 3 points here. Obviously they will be looking to hit City on the break and if this was last year's City's team (or even the one in the first half of the season) - I would be all over City-1.75 but a lot has changed in the City team since then. The players basically know the league is out of reach and the manager is a gonner in the summer. I can't really see them trying to put this game to bed if they go a goal or even 2 up, and with Benteke finding his scoring boots again, he is always worth a goal.

  2. Re: Crystal Palace v Hull City > Saturday April 25th Really like Hull to get a result here. Both teams are out of form, Hull especially, but I expect a bit of a warrior performance from the away side tomorrow. Palace leak goals at the back, having not kept a clean sheet in 10 games, however Hull have found it difficult to score without the aid of Jelavic up front, who is set to miss the remainder of the season. Obviously Selhurst is a tough place to go, but what I've found from watching Palace in the Premier League over the past few years is that they really tend to play to the opposition's level. Bolasie, Zaha and Puncheon seem to save their explosive performances for the big boys when their going to be noticed on the tele, however I must admit, Bolasie really has improved his consistency this season. Steve Bruce knows exactly what it takes to survive Relegation battles and is more than used to, what should almost certainly be, a bit of a scrap. On Hull +0.5 and a bit on the draw.

  3. Re: Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur > Saturday April 25th Instantly I thought that the book are pricing Southampton too low here. I was surprised that you can get Spurs on the double chance at 1.85. This one really has a draw written all over it but maybe Southampton's men will put up more of a fit since they are facing their old managers (well, the few remaining Southampton players that worked under Pochettino). Really want to take Spurs +0.5 but can't quite pull the trigger mainly down to the reason above.
