Re: 2013/14 Outright Markets - any value left? I like to pack in all the likely winners of the lower leagues into a massive accumulator, pretty fun bet and have won a few hundred on these bets before.

Re: Manchester United v Crystal Palace > Sat 14th September United to win to Nil looks a bet to get on in my opinion.

Re: England > Antepost > Conference North 2013/2014 Altrincham have a valid chance but ultimately reckon they'll finish second to Telford, but any Telford slip-ups then altringham are the team to capitalise. Stockport for me aren't good enough yet to win the league, next season ill back them though.

Re: England > Antepost > Conference North 2013/2014 Yep, Eastleigh all the way for me in the south too. Although I'm more confident of Telford than Eastleigh. are you doing any single bets on any teams to win the league?

Re: England > Antepost > Conference North 2013/2014 Yep, 3's it has to be. Would you back it ?
-
Re: England > Antepost > Conference North 2013/2014 Telford I think are bankers to win the league, but think 10/3 maybe a little short to back.

Some ideas there i wouldn't have thought about so thumbs up for that one .There's always here, of course! Non-league gamblers are a small community but the collective efforts of the punters here uncover some gems week in, week out. In the end, every gambler has to take responsibility for their own bets, but Punter's Lounge is certainly a good starting place (not just the non-league threads, of course, but the other leagues have some superb tipsters and there is always useful advice available on strategies and managing money). Frankly, there isn't anything else out there as one-stop shop for non-league gambling. Over the years there have been a few pisspoor attempts at starting a paid-for service, but those guys never last long. There are a number of occasionally updated WordPress referral sites and a growing number of Twitter non-league specialists, but you have to squint pretty hard to discern any quality (and keep your radar tuned to reveal those on Twitter who love the idea of being a tipster rather than actually making a profit). Use the non-league news sites and local papers for player movements, official sites for match reports, fans' forums to find news and to take a reading of sentiment (though be aware that forums often represent just a small and vocal constituency among the fan base), and look at Twitter for any snippets that players have to offer. -
Re: Are these Strange odds ?
Will do that, thanksI'm no expert in the Irish second division, but all outright odds are usually produced by factoring in the remaining fixtures and taking the aggregate odds of all the combinations of them finishing the league in first position, or any of the other teams managing to produce something special to take first spot. I'd go have a look at the remaining fixtures. -
Re: West Bromwich Albion V Manchester United > Sunday 19th May 5-5. draw is the obvious bet here

Re: England > Antepost > Conference Premier League 2013/2014
Yh I agree chester are bad value but bookies are taking no chances, I've followed chester for the last few years and thought I got great value a 4/1 to win their league last season, they won it by Christmas more or less, and finished 16 or something points clear, wouldn't surprise me to see a top 6 finish, although this time to win outright in my opinion is something they won't do.BetVics are 14/1 on Aldershot to finish bottom which is obviously a sporting play given they will be behind everyone else at the start of the season and as Ships says they are in a bit of a mess right now. Chester are now 8/1 with Skybet for the League. One of the worse value bets you will ever see. -
Basically I have an interest in league betting ( to win league outright) in the European leagues and find it easier to pick winners, I'm more of a long term bettor. In the Irish second division longford town are 9 points clear of the rest and yet are 1/2 to win the league. I know it's odds on and everything but I think this is a great bet and like buying money. I think i might Just walk into paddy power Tommorow and do the bet for a £500 stake lol, would you guys back this, or leave it alone?

Re: top tennis stars losing - advice please Over federers career on average he loses once every 6 games so 5 times out of six he''ll win, if you make the equivalent to a premier league season which is 38 games, man united will on average win 24-28 games, that's just a bit worse than federers record, so just about the same. Betting on 1/20 favourites will leave you in the poor house, tennis is unpredictable like nothing else.

Re: Serie A 2013/14 > Winner Juventus at 4-5 or whatever they are to win this league is like buying money, just the case if you can wait 8 months to pick up the money...

Re: Antepost > FA Cup 2013/14 > Winner More or less a lottery this market..
-
Re: League Two 2013/14 > Winner The obvious selection would be Portsmouth I suppose, better players than the rest of league 2, £200 at 4's sounds alright

Re: England > Antepost > Conference North 2013/2014 I agree brackley should carry on from last season, they started off like a train and tailed off xd guilsley for me may need a few new names and be up there, altringham have a great attack as well but the winner of in my opinion is coming from these two sides. Following the lower leagues is fun, if only there were people who had more information to keep me up to date!

Re: England > Antepost > Conference Premier League 2013/2014 Luton town were 4/1 favourites last season and they barely made it into the top half, probably best to avoid. If I was asked for a selection to win the league, I'd side with Kidderminster to keep their momentum going and win the league.

Re: England > Antepost > Conference North 2013/2014 Think bracket or guisesley are nailed on, best to bet on both to win that league

Re: Confrence South and North Ante-Post prices The conference north last year proved a successful division for myself in terms of the betting side of things, in which strongly fancied AFC Telford managed to hold off challenges from North Ferriby, Altrincham, Hednesford and the steamtrain of Guiseley AFC to lift the Conference North Trophy in May, the recommendation i am going to give here will hopefully give you some winning satisfaction come May, too. I am going in again in the Outright Market to select a winner of this league. I am not going to beat around the bush here, it is going to have be Guiseley AFC all the way for me. Since the appointment of Mark Bower, they have been is scintillating form. Towards the end of February 2014 they went on a run of just one defeat in 24 conference north matches, skyrocketing themselves towards the play-off positions, and, if the season was 7 or 8 games longer, would have beaten eventual winners AFC Telford and serial Conference North-winning manager Liam Watson to the title. Guiseley's rapid improvement was evident in absolute annihilation of eventual champions AFC Telford, playing them off the park, and managing a rout of 6-1, and by no means is this an exaggeration, could and should have been 9-1. And all this was against some individuals that have won this league before, such as Matty Mcginn. The finishing post came just too soon for Guiseley. In football, momentum is something that can be gained and lost in a flash. The huge advantage for Guiseley is that they possess all the momentum in the world that you can ask for. In order to maintain this momentum, you would have thought they would have to retain the majority of the squad that played so well last year. They have. They have also made some quality additions for this level. Ben Parker has signed on. He is a 26 year old left-back, but can also play centre-back. He is considered by many to be the best full-back in this division, and not just that, the division above. Going into this season, they possess players that are both settled at the club, and proven at this level. Other teams have had to recruit some players which subsequently means they will have to adapt, also. Guiseley also managed to secure the services of Danny Hall, who was very impressive for Guiseley last season, making contributions both offensively and defensively. Guiseley also have some very impressive youngsters coming through, such as Luke Porritt. In Adam Boyes, they probably have one of the best strikers in the division. He managed 15 goals in 21 starts for Guiseley, and have wasted no time in quickly securing his services again for the 2014-2015 season. A vast majority of the squad can play at a higher level, and i have no doubt they will do one day, and i believe that they will do it together, by winning the 2014-2015 Conference North Title in May 2015.
Bet365 are offering 8-1 for a Guiseley triumph while BetVictor are offering 9's. Paddy Power/Coral/Ladbrokes are yet to release prices. Betting Recommendation - Guiseley to lift the 2014-2015 Conference North Trophy
