Re: My TV Debut tonight on Poker425
Shucks. Thank you very much :D :$ I was pretty nervous as it was only my second time on camera, hence the "I think it will be easy" comment... Tikay is hopefully going to send me a copy on DVD. If he's able to, I'll convert it in to a torrent file so others can download it :) See you all Thursday at the Bunker!I saw him, I saw him :nana. Bloody handsome Hugh Grant bastid :notworthy. -
Re: poker.co.uk PL League - Leg 5 - Monday 22nd May 21:15 BST Hi all, I've been out of the office for most of today, so the win bonuses are going to be paid tomorrow. Thanks everyone for playing :) And congratulations to theCloud for taking down series 1!!

Re: Betfair City AM LIVE Final 25th May
For anyone with a guest ticket left' date=' please offer it to Matt. I met him in Dublin, top bloke.[/quote'] Thanks Col :D Can you bring some blackberry wine?! I promise to try some this time - if you can sneak a bottle in to the party :D -
For those that have the magical mystery channel that is Sky Channel 854 you can catch my TV debut at The Cincinnatti Cup Challenge in Glasgow. It's been on since last Wednesday night, and is repeated tonight at 11pm for the last time, until they switch over to a new epsiode on Wednesday. I'm interviewed before the event rating my teams chances, then about 20 minutes later when I'm first to be knocked out! :$ Still, it's pretty entertaining viewing, especially when Jonny Gould and Tikay give me the rubdown in the studio afterwards :D

Re: cryptologic must be rigged Here's some proof that live poker is fixed. 2 players all-in pre-flop, one with 88, the other with AJ. Board: 6 9 9 Turn: 9 River: 9 The odds of all four 9's coming out at once must be astronomical! Player with AJ survies getting knocked out, and he wasn't even dealing that hand himself! ;) Edit: Further proof: A 6 is very much like a 9 but kinda upside down.... Spooky!

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge Hi all Sorry, but there is going to be a delay in paying the added money this time round. I've been out of town playing the Jonny Texas Invitational with Ben (DaMatrix) and Dan Carter (our sponsored player). I'm off to Glasgow later today to play the Cincinatti Challenge (watch out for this on Poker425), then the Western on Sunday for the Poker4Charity event. After that I'm back off to Birmingham again for more Jonny Texas, and finally back in Bristol on Wednesday! Payments will be sorted on my return.

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge
Hi Alex Didn't realise JarJar was you :D Yesterday, I noticed that Dan was in the list of names in the lobby, so rang him to see if he was playing for us or not! :tongue2 Turns out it wasn't him, but you instead - and you were going to be playing for Punters Lounge! :D Unlucky with 29th, but well done for being chip leader at the start. I'm off to Brum now to play the Jonny Texas TV game. Not sure if you saw my other post, but our internet qualifier turned out to be none other than Benedetto "DaMatrix" Passantino, who knocked Dan out with a bad beat in the heads up stage of last years Maxim King of Poker. See you soon :) Cheers MattHi Matt Thanks for clearing that up for me. Also, sorry about yesterday, I was confused..... Dan said you gave him a call yesterday afternoon but he had no idea what you were talking about or what was going on.... my fault - it was me who signed up for it, without knowing what was going on really. It didn't matter in the end anyway, as I went out in 29th - after being chip leader!!! See you soon, Alex -
Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge
Hi Jar It's a simple points system with 1st place being awarded 20pts, 2nd place 19pts, all the way down to 20th spot with 1point. I'll compile the top 20 board from this event sometime today/tomorrow and post it up. The bonus cash ($500 this time) will be paid out tomorrow afternoon, split in the same percentage as the prize money (i.e. top 10 paid).Well done Ronay and all the other PL-ers. :clap :clap :clap I went out in 29th place in the end.... too far down to get any points me thinks. Are the results posted anywhere? Also, does anyone have the points break down? I would like to know how far down the points actually go. Cheers, Jar -
Re: Unusual Play in Inter Forum Challenge
I've not noticed any of this at my table, and can say I'm 100% confident that Team gambling.co.uk are playing everyone for themselves...... the players at my table are checking the pots down, avoiding taking eachothers chips... and admit to it aswell :spank :spank Str8 against trips... no betting.... Quads against trips... no betting... :unsure :unsure The same at the other tables??? And then they accuse us for doing the same last time..... :puke :puke Idiots... -
Re: Wanna play a Live TV Tournament? Congratulations to FCUKU2 - Benedetto Passantino who claimed first place. €3000 entry to the Main Event, and $1200 expenses. That's enough for a lot of champagne!! :D Well played everyone. It's funny that with a strong gambling forum and Punters Lounge presence, as well as Bristol and London Poker Meetup Groups, that the player to win was the only player who wasn't from one of these places. Incidently, Benedetto was the winner of last years Maxim King of Poker event, knocking out Dan Arama from the Bristol Poker Group heads up in the final. Thanks everyone for attending and making the event a success, albeit a success with a huge overlay! :tongue2 See you all tomorrow in the forum vs forum challenge (I am Mango99 on poker.co.uk).

Re: Wanna play a Live TV Tournament?
Hey runadrum. Congratulations on qualifying. Looks like it's going to be a gambling vs punters lounge fest tomorrow :D Looking foward to it, I'll be observing from the rails and attempting to remain impartial :) We've been told the filming for our 3 players is going to be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. They'd like all 3 of us together on the first day so they can interview us to camera, about our chances, and a few other interview-type questions. So, I'd recommend whoever qualifies takes Tuesday off work (if the online qualifier plays the first heat, that involves the least amount of time needed to be taken off), and perhaps Wednesday too if they fancy an after show drink! We'll pay for travel and accomodation if whoever wins wants to stay in Birmingham for the night, or even all 3 nights. Then, if you win your heat, you'll be invited back to the final. The final is taking place sometime in June (date to be confirmed). If you finish 2nd in your heat, you'll be invited back the week after your heat to play the semi-final (date tbc). Again, if you win this, you'll be back in June. I'll find out the exact dates later today, and post up when I have the info. Thanks Trev, looking forward to Sunday. Matt - how many days off work will need to be taken by the winner on Sunday for the live stages ? one for a heat and one for the final ? :ok -

Re: Wanna play a Live TV Tournament? This is shaping up to be an exciting final, with two of the forums in the forum vs forum challenge taking up at least 8 of the 10 places :) The only names I don't recongnise on the qualification list are: FCUKU2 and Xtrmntr00. Are either of thes guys from round these parts? For those who haven't qualified, you have until Saturday evening! :nana

Re: Wanna play a Live TV Tournament? Just to put this thread back on topic a little, I realised that only 2 prizes: 1st: Entry to Jonny Texas Invitational on Sky (worth $5000) 2nd: $3000 might mean when it gets to heads up, people will be fighting to get the 2nd prize rather than the first. This could make a mockery of the heads up. Therefore, we have come up with the following enhancement: 1st: Entry to tournament (worth $5000) 2nd: 40% of remaining funds ($1200 if 16 players in final, as expected). 3rd: 30% of remaining funds ($900) 4th: 20% of remaining funds ($600) 5th: 10% of remaining funds ($300) This should hopefully mean everyone playing will be trying for first place, rather than second! Though, second at $1200 is obviously pretty attractive too. If you haven't entered yet, what's keeping you? :nana :cow :nana (whilst on the subject of emoticons, we must get some of these for our forums!) There are only 8 spaces left, with satellites running every day until Saturday.
