  1. Re: Poker Player Magazine Tour 2014 Satellite Thread Hi checkorbet, Thanks for the feedback. We're looking into the amount of satellites we offer at the moment and it would be good to get feedback on whether people think there would be the demand for them. The satellites we ran on Grosvenor for the last tour weren't very popular but this might have had more to do with the site? We're currently running one satellite and one freeroll on Winamax, so three seats guaranteed a month and more depending on buy-ins. We might try experimenting with more. You can still buy-in online with Grosvenor. A week or so before each tour event you can find the online buy-in in the Grosvenor lobby. I'm always keeping an eye on here and happy to get feedback on this or any other subject to [email protected]. Thanks, Dave

  2. Re: PokerPlayer Mag / Will Hill €1800 Freeroll Series - the next 4 Sundays starting 2 Hi all, Sorry to hear the mixed reactions about the Will Hill series. These 'Sunday Specials' are extras – we don't consider them high value enough to go in the magazine so they're purely promoted on the website. For that reason numbers are likely to be a lot higher, but I'm currently looking at ways to ensure that passwords don't get out to complete randoms. Any feedback would be gratefully received. We seem to be doing well with the magazine freerolls - numbers are decent and the passwords aren't getting out. I'm glad to see that a PL-er is top of the Will Hill league and the buy-in should be back to small numbers again for the finale. Sorry about the confusion with prizes/payouts – we're at the mercy of operators here, but hopefully it's a bit clearer now. Cheers and gl gl all still in the hunt, Dave

  3. Re: Poker Player Mag. Grand Prix 8 / Winamax: LIVE FINAL RAILING Congrats Stall3y! Brute force and some unorthodox (beer-fuelled :p) tactics towards the end saw you through. Critical mistake for me was when you were done for string betting. I'd raised pre with A-8, hit the 8-high flop and was waiting for you to donk-lead as you'd got in the habit of doing. You went to bet about 60k but started dropping 5k chips over the line one-by-one. I went to look at my stack to ship but when I looked up saw you'd been forced to make a 10k min-bet, which completely threw me. Ended up calling which was

  4. Re: Poker Player Mag. Grand Prix 8 / Winamax starting Monday 29th July 8pm You need IBAN and BIC codes to open your account - they're on your bank statement (paper ones anyway, some online statements don't have them and you'll need to phone your bank). The ID that you need to scan in doesn't need to be done straight away - you'll get reminded every time you log in but you get a few weeks' grace. It's a bit of a pain but all part of the French regulators which at least means they're safe and secure. If you're still having problems you can get me on [email protected] and I'll be around all day tomorrow until the first freeroll.

  5. Re: Poker Player Mag. Grand Prix 8 / Winamax starting Monday 29th July 8pm

it says in the magazine its gtd 500 in tickets for each freeroll , are these tickets that can be used in mtt or sit n goes and have a expiry date with them ? Only asking as in monday nights game in tournament lobby it does not show any prizes in them ?
Going to check this with Winamax first thing Monday morning - they're not in the lobby and if for some reason they can't display I'll post the places paid here.
  6. Re: Poker Player Mag. Grand Prix 8 / Winamax starting Monday 29th July 8pm Good luck everyone - see you on the tables Monday. Also, if you've got any feedback about sign-up process (not the easiest), formats (we've tried to mix it up a bit), structures, etc, let me know here. The digital version of the mag doesn't contain the card with the bonus code on, so email [email protected] if you need one. Passwords are in the mag only, but also in the digital version so if you can't find a copy in the shops you can download from iTunes. GLGLGL! Dave

  7. Re: PPMag / PKR Freeroll June 16th 7.30pm Okay, I've spoken to PKR and they assure me that this issue is sorted now. No restrictions, no $1 to play if you deposit under $25, etc. I can't test it out personally as I don't want to impinge on your liquidity in the freeroll, but let me know if anyone has any other problems. :) Maybe see some of you in Brighton for the PPUKT? A free drink for any PL player I see down there.

  8. Re: PPMag / PKR Freeroll June 16th 7.30pm Hi all, Dave here from PokerPlayer mag. Long time no see, but I'm back now! I'm going to get on this now and get an answer for you asap. Sorry it's been a pain and sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I've been out of the office (at Ross' wedding!). The best way to get a quick answer to ANYTHING in the future is to email me direct – [email protected]. I do monitor the Facebook account but I do miss stuff on there. As for this freeroll, sorry for the cock-ups so far. I would say though that it's probably worth persevering with. The more barriers to entry, the fewer the numbers, and I think this one could be good value. $2.5k up for grabs and possibly a fairly small field :)
