  1. Re: 10K INVESTMENT IN BFAIR V ISA To be fair, all gambling carries risks and what BigBapper is trying to do is to out perform the punitive ISA rates which he is doing pretty damn well. The wheels may come off but we don't know BPs skill level. So far he seems to be doing it extremely sucessfully to achieve his objective. Exercising caution is wise, but let's not knock what BP has achieved so far. It works for him, so good luck BP - you may need it, but who knows?

  2. Re: Binchy's Lays G. I'm pretty sure that Binchy used all the tipsters for syst1. He does say in his first post 'if the favourite has one or less selections by the tipsters, they go on our list. However, if the 1 selection is a * or a nb, they are wiped off the list.' I took that to read that they cannot be a nap or next best (nb) In my view these are two pretty strong laying systems, but I think that they could be tweaked and improved without any disrespect to Binchy - after all he set me on the way to consider this. Brecki touched on one way and I have other thoughts. Trouble is I'm out of the country and the internet connection is very dodgy. You wouldn't believe how long it's taken me to type this. All of my records for this are at home but once I return I'll post my further thoughts. regards, Billyboy

  3. Re: Binchy's Lays Afternoon, gbettle. It would be good if you could pick this up. I don't think that the link you posted is the one Binchy used. That seems to be the naps table and as far as I know Binchy used the part of the site that you have to pay for to get all of the daily newspapers tips. However, all may not be lost. You can get almost all of the tips for free at www.besttipping.com and then you need to click on Newspaper Tips. This ought to enable you to gather the information required. Hope this helps and good luck and thanks if you give it a go. billyboy

  4. Re: Binchy's Lays Your spreadsheet makes for very interesting reading, Brecki. There are other angles that can be checked such as number of runners and maximum prices, types of race etc. Trouble is I'm out of the country at the moment and only have limited internet access. I'll be back 2nd week in Dec and will be able to do further research. Thanks to you and Binchy for your hard work on this.

  5. Re: Binchy's Lays Hi Brecki thanks for a very interesting read. i'd like to see your spreadsheet but I can't work out how to send you a pm!?! this is a fairly safe email address so would you send it to montagueharris@liveDOTcom? cheers and I look forward to reading it. Billyboy

  6. Re: Binchy's Lays Hi Binchy, mate. What's happening with the system? Ok, so things slowed down, but they are still pretty impressive figures. Let us know what you intend doing and if you're not carrying on with it I'd like to thank you for a profitable and interesting thread. If you are carrying on with it then let's get stuck in and make a few quid for Christmas! Billyboy

  7. Re: Binchy's Lays These are robust systems. I wouldn't mess about with them too much, in fact, not at all. On my figures, even with the recent disappointments, both systems are still well in front with a combined ROI in excess of 30%. Excellent returns in my view

  8. Re: Binchy's Lays Since I’ve been following this system of yours, Binchy, I have noted that since mid March the following figures have emerged; System 1 – over an 84% success rate with a ROI of over 32% and a profit to a £10 stake of £660 after Betfairs 5% commission. System 2 - over an 88% success rate with a ROI of over 38% and a profit to a £10 stake of £487 after Betfairs 5% commission. Combination of 1 & 2 - over an 85% success rate with a ROI of over 34% and a profit to a £10 stake of £1147 after Betfairs 5% commission. I hope these figures are correct – I have checked them a few times and they look in order to me. A truly remarkable performance. Thank you for sharing this with us and good luck for the future. Billyboy

  9. Re: Binchy's Lays Good luck with the increased stakes, Binchy. Great to have doubled the bank in such a short time. Did you enjoy the game on Saturday? Got to say that looked a very dodgy pen for the Chairboys after you had bossed it up to then. Only saw the highlights on the FLS, mind, but the lad didn't seem able to avoid the ball hitting him and it wasn't obvious to me that it touched his hand. Certainly not intentional.

  10. Re: Binchy's Lays Binchy, Thanks once again for putting this up, and I'm happy to put my two penn'orth in. It's very early days yet but you seem to have produced a robust laying system. The trouble with laying is that it is a very plodding form of gambling and you need to protect your stake and bank as we are always prone to being wiped out when the occasional bet goes the wrong way. Because of this, after a long time experimenting, I have come to the conclusion that level stakes, to liability, is the only way. It's a dull form of gambling, but with the right selection method it can be relentlessly, if slowly, profitable. You have a bank of £1,000, according to your first post and over only a few weeks you have made a 40% profit. That's some going. Personally, if I were you I wouldn't change much, but I will make some suggestions. 1. If possible get yourself a bot and lay he horses at the time of the off, setting a maximum price up to 7.00 or so but definitely no higher. 2. If you can get a bot then lay to a liability of a percentage of your opening bank and stay on this until you have a predetermined profit. 3. Once you have made a satisfactory profit, say50% of the original bank, then increase your liability by 25% - 50% and as you achieve the predetermined profit target keep increasing it. 4. Combine both of the systems as one - it makes it easier to follow the results, I find. All I in all, I can find nothing to improve your system, the above are just suggestions. I know how hard this game can be. Protecting your bank and your profit are the important this to do and you don't seem to be doing too badly, do you??!! All the best, Bill

  11. Re: Binchy's Lays Binchy, This is going so well. Thank you for your continuous postings. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind me asking. 1) Are you using the paid for Racing Post site for the newspaper votes or just the tips of the Racing Post? 2) If you are using the general newspapers tips - how many tipsters feature to be considered because whilst I don't want to pay the Racing Post (had a bust up with them last year) there are other sites where I can get the tipsters info from for free but they only have the tips of 13 newspaper tipsters - would you say that is enough? Today's clean sweep is giving you a very healthy profit over a very short time. Congratulations and long may it continue. Bill
