  1. Re: Vanarama Conference September 9th/10th Any thoughts on Macclesfield? 12/5 with Bet Vics, but under 2/1 elsewhere. Three wins and three draws before going down by the only goal at Chester, so a decent start to the season Obviously Halifax are a decent side but they're better at home. I think Macc are possibly overpriced, although perhaps the draw is a danger. Macc DNB 6/4

  2. Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 31-Apr 3

Won't the Southport/Halifax double be treat as a related contingency seeing as they both play Braintree' date=' I don't know the answer but I'd suspect it would.[/quote'] Bet365 let me put the double on - and they're kings of the related contingency.... I'm always falling foul of their stupid rules in that regard
  3. Re: England > Weekend > Skrill N & S, Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Oct 26

I'm time-lite this week, so I'm jumping in before all the prices are out - Marathon will no doubt have some attractive offerings. AFC Fylde at home to Whitby Town (17/20 BetVics) Whitby have been excellent away from home with a draw at Chorley and a fine win at FCUM, but even so the price is big about the home side, who boast better bodies man-for-man right across the park. Fylde's attacking prowess and Whitby's tendency to make defensive bloopers means that even if the visitors try to grind out a point they'll be in trouble. Bury Town away at Cray Wanderers (17/20 BetVics) With John Sands on his way out the squad reshaping at Bury still has some way to go (regulars here will remember that they posted a severe budget cut some weeks back, then almost immediately cancelled it), but the squad has found a way of playing away from home that works - only Hornchurch and Maidstone have better records. It's a new Cray under Keith Bird, with plenty of bodies coming through the door (including Warren McBean, for a spell). In truth, they don't look any stronger than they did a month ago, despite a fine win over Met Police in the league and a 2-0 triumph at Three Bridges in the league cup. The squad is still bedding as witnessed by their 4-1 home trouncing by Hendon last week in the Trophy, and I think Bury should be bigger favourites. Nantwich Town at home to Barwell (13/10 BetVics) A risk, given that Nantwich haven't won at home since August, but they have been playing okay and perhaps just need a bit of luck. They have some injury concerns this week, with Danny Caldecott and Earl Davis on the doubtful list, but they should have some joy against a Barwell who are conceding far too many for a side that built their reputation last season (in the Southern) on a rugged physical approach and strong defensive organisation - neither of those things are working at the moment. Nantwich - who might have Steve Foster signed up for this one - are still some way short of where Danny Johnson wants them to be but I think they'll be climbing the table sooner rather than later. Marine away at Ashton United (2/1 10Bet) Marine look ready to push on for the rest of the campaign with the signing of Michael Taylor and Louis Corrigan this week a statement of intent, and they are an excellent price against a wounded Ashton. The home side did well to cope with the summer exodus to Nantwich and start the season so strongly, but they've lost shape in recent weeks, and have conceded two to Frickley, three to Sheffield and four to Whitby in the last three home games. Leiston away at East Thurrock United (14/5 10Bet) My most embarrassing moment of the summer was tipping Leiston in the anteposts for the Ryman - they've been dire. But Steve Pitt is in charge now, and he'll definitely need to get some new blood in to turn the season around, but performances have not quite been as bad as results suggest and I think the price is chunky given the opponents. ETU have only beaten Cray in the last seven league games and haven't scored in the last three in all competitions, drawing blanks against Eastbourne Town who are bottom of the Ryman 1 South, Romford in Ryman 1 North and Thamesmead in the league, who have conceded more than anyone apart from Cray. They defend well, though, so Leiston may struggle to notch themselves, but I'll take that risk at a chunky price.
Did these 5 in a £1 Canadian, paid £122 ish so thanks very much!
  4. Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 21

Heres a link to how the table would look without both or just one of them. As it stands Luton would come of worse out of the top teams' date=' but given Wrexham and Fleetwood play them both on Saturday its not going to be so bad. [b']https://t.co/kTA9CIGH
Was hoping by some amazing turn of fate (given ante post bets...) that Newport County would be top of the table. Oh well... Am really hoping that they both survive but if Kettering and/or Darlo do go it'll certainly give those teams at the bottom a boost with only two sides going down
  5. Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Dec 3 I'd concur with the thoughts above on FGR's chances, on my ratings they are massive value at the best available price of 9/4 at Coral & Betfred. However, because of their high number of away draws I have split my stake, half on the FGR win at 9/4 and half on DNB 11/8 with Skybet. I'll be backing Barrow (Evs Bet365) who are a decent proposition at home and will also probably back Telford to win at Bath to small stakes if I can get some 2/1 - Telford's price is currently drifting. Good luck with all your bets this weekend

  6. Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Nov 18-19 Slim pickings in the BSP this week as far as I'm concerned. Funny how some weeks 5 or 6 games look of interest and other weeks hardly anything appeals. If forced to pick a team to bet it would probably be Barrow, the price is reasonable but I wouldn't be that confident. The double on Gateshead and Fleetwood pays around 7/4 but again I have some nagging doubts. Good luck if you get involved.

  7. Re: Blue Square BET Premier » Oct 18

Was a top night last night, thank you to all involved. Top work punterslounge :clap
I'll second that, cheers everyone. It's my first season at punting in the top three tiers of non league and it's going OK so far, and I'm over 30 points in front - only to small stakes mind.
  8. Re: Blue Square BET Premier » Oct 18 Others picks... Telford 0 AH 5/4 (Bet365) Think that a draw is by far the most likely outcome in their match with a FGR team who have only won 3 of 16 league games, but Telford did win at York earlier in the season and the price is reasonable with the draw on side Southport DNB 2/1 Bet365 Unfashionable Gateshead have surprised many with their form this season but they did lose 4-1 at Luton on Saturday and they are starting to slide down the league table. Southport are in blinding form at present, including some fine performances away from home, so the 2/1 DNB is worth taking The 4/5 (gen) about Tamworth might be a bit marginal for some but they're strong at home and Hayes & Yeading are poor away so I'll be backing the home side I'm also interested in peoples thoughts on the Luton v Wrexham game considering available prices, anyone got a view?

  9. Re: Blue Square BET Premier » Oct 18 The Newport County v Kettering game interests me. We've yet to see much progress for Newport under their new manager and they are still hugely inconsistent - not many would have thought that a team that could win 4-1 away at Fleetwood would then lose at home to Tamworth. Kettering won away at FGR on Saturday and whilst it's probably a big call for them to win two games on the trot away from home I feel that the away side are worth following. 5/2 available for Kettering to win but I'm taking 6/4 Kettering DNB with Hills :hope

  10. Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Prem October 8-9 York v Braintree Can't resist a small bet on Braintree at 9/2 on Betfair. They've made a brilliant start to life in the BSP since their promotion last season. I'm not in any doubt that this will be a tough game as both teams are in good form but I believe that the prices should be closer than they are - Braintree aren't a 9/2 shot :hope I've also backed Southport and Kidderminster
