  1. Re: 10K INVESTMENT IN BFAIR V ISA

Well' date=' that would depend on your selection strategy & what percentage of your betting bank £1k represents. it's not a banker, that's for sure. eg. Barcelona have been held 0-0 this season & Liverpool v QPR could easily finish 4-1[/quote'] Barcelona are hell bent on the title. They don't like to score just one goal but they won't go crazy if they know the game is over at 2-0 (Getafe result aside). Sevilla v Real Madrid isn't a banker despite the odds to the contrary. Real lost the last away fixture to Sevilla. But both these sides love to score goals. Barcelona drew 2-2 there a little while ago. Neither Liverpool or QPR can score at the minute. I realise Coutinho has just scored for Liverpool but the game won't finish above 3 goals. The £1k is from my savings. I am risk adverse. I didn't place this bet despite believing it will come in. I have a side bet with the winnings of the £1k I put on Real Madrid to beat Almeria. I just did a 5 game in-game bet that won. I won £20. I want to build this up using my strategy and not risk the £1k on anything other than dead certs (or as near to such a thing that exists).
  2. Re: 10K INVESTMENT IN BFAIR V ISA Most people gamble to win huge sums of money. Otherwise what's the point? I can't fault the size of BB's ambition as mine and most are of equal measure. £10k, isn't a life changing sum of money. With inflation it will lose it's purchasing power over time, so why not try and make the most of it? BB lost his head betting big on teams I'd never heard of. If you put £5k on an over 0.5 result. Make sure one of those teams is Real Madrid or Barcelona and they need to win. Over a week ago I bet £1k on there being 2 goals in the first leg of the PSG v Barcelona CL tie. I got odds of 1.25 and won £250. I then blew this money on online roulette. With the last £10 I had from this sum I did 20 under 4.5 goals accumulators. 19 of them won but I had Celta Vigo and Real Madrid as the last game needed and lost. The OP had an amazing run, but got carried away. If I were in his shoes I know I might have done the same. There's no shame in losing a 0.5 over bet on Arsenal v Chelsea. Benfica had gone on 93 home game scoring run which was ended by Porto at the weekend. That's what you're looking for when you make these bets. A team you can more or less bank on.

  3. Re: Over 0.5 goal Correct me if I'm wrong Craighorse, but the sterling amount (in your post) can't be winnings, can it? I did a quick total of the odds you posted since you started the thread and it came to 2.95. Which equates to £29.50 (£10 x 2.95). I like the idea of the over 0.5. But it requires a large stake to make it worthwhile.

  4. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Tuesday October 21st The over under betting or the both teams to score is probably the best value. I got a small stake bet on Bristol City v Bradford as an over 2.5 goals game. I would add Barnsley v Notts County, Colchester v Chesterfield, Crewe v Peterborough, Gillingham v Preston to the over 2.5 goal list. With Oldham v Coventry and Sheffield v Yeovil to the under 2.5 goal chart.

  5. Re: Over or Under 2.5 goals DOUBLES I got Real Madrid v Elche @1.22 and Cardiff v Bournemouth @1.73 over 2.5 goals. £20 stake. Arsenal almost always let me down. Hence not putting something on them. If I were a braver man I would put money on the following to be over 2.5 goals: Partick v St.Mirren, Reims v Marseille, Rennes v Toulouse, Nancy v Tours, Werder Bremen v Schalke 04. I add them here so I can kick myself later if they come in.

  6. Re: Sky Bet Championship > Saturday August 30th Totally agree with LukeLeeds91. I have that game as part of an accumulator. I would add Sheffield Wednesday v Nottingham Forest as another good over 2.5 goals bet. Forest are free scoring at the minute and Wednesday put 3 past Middlesborough at the Riverside last week. Norwich and Bournemouth are also good for the over 2.5. Both are very open teams who love to score.

  7. Re: Over or Under 2.5 goals DOUBLES At half time everyone apart from Stoke had scored in the cup. I was thinking of putting a oner on several teams. But then I remembered this was a cup competition and anything could happen. I also recalled losing money on Birmingham last season. If I had them to win they lost. If I had them to lose they won or drew. You will notice of all my predictions in the above post, Swindon and Brighton let me down. They did the same to me last season. In fact I don't know why I even consider them when I place a bet. I suspect the French and Italian leagues are best for under 2.5 goals betting.

  8. Re: 100% profit on trebles in one year

Man United lost heavily to lose the bet. Lost £25. Bank now £432.02 1st two legs of new treble are £25 on Arsenal @2/5, Bayer Leverkusen @ 2/7, (Bet 365)
I can see Arsenal having problems with Leicester. No Giroud and Wenger's insistence on a high defensive line is bad enough, but they also have the CL game against Besiktas tonight. Look for tired legs at the weekend.
  9. Re: Over or Under 2.5 goals DOUBLES I like these threads from the OP. The over\under aspect is not something I thought to explore before. Thanks OP. I had a 4 game accumulator over the weekend MK Dons to beat Coventry, Millwall to beat Rotherham, Sheffield Utd to beat Crawley and Wigan to beat Blackpool. The first 2 let me down. I had a fiver on it at 8 to 1. My picks for tonight on the over 2.5 would be Swindon v Brighton and Hove, Watford v Doncaster, MK Dons v Manchester United and Bournemouth v Northampton. The under would be Millwall v Southampton, WBA v Oxford and Scunthrope United v Reading. Good luck.

  10. Re: 100% profit on trebles in one year

1st leg of new treble is £25 on PSG@2/5 to beat Evian (Coral)
I was betting on PSG a lot last season and more often than not they came through, but they are dicey in the way they like to win 1-0 and have signed one of the worst defenders at the world cup, in David Luiz.
  11. Re: Sky Bet Championship > August 19th & 20th Brentford were terrible away from home at the end of last season. Blackpool are a mess right now. Players they signed weren't registered until 24 hours ahead of their game on saturday. In fighting between chairman and owners. But their one saving grace is their manager Jose Riga who kept Charlton up last season. This is Blackpool's best chance to record a win. I will go with them tonight. Brighton look in poor shape and away to a Leeds team who will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, I don't fancy their chances. Reading and Cardiff to win tonight for all the reason already given. If you're looking for shock prediction it's for Charlton to beat Derby.

  12. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread Today was a crazy sort of day. I had Theydon bois at 26/1 and Poyle Jessica at 6.5/1 at Newmarket. Neither placed. I followed this bet up with Jersey Brown at 12/1 and Captain Cat at 6.5/1. Jersey Brown didn't place but Captain Cat won in the 16:00 at Salisbury. I got Gallic Destiny, Premier Jack and Spirea from the nap thread. The first 2 didn't place, but the last did. I then picked Madame Rouge in the same race as Premier Jack (18:25 Chepstow) and it won. I'm only up £4 on the day but this is the best I've felt in a while. Picking 2 horses in a short field doesn't say a lot, but the odds were good enough to justify the punt.

  13. Re: Nap Of The Day > Wednesday August 13th

K6.50 Sakhees Rose 1pt Win 10/1 Ladbrokes This one steps up to 7 furlongs for the first time having been seen staying on over 6 furlongs at the track in the past. Sometimes racing isn't rocket science and it seems that this course and distance look tailor made for it now. Confidence if further boosted by the first time booking of Richard Hughes and he should get this horse staying on at the end to deliver a challenge inside the last furlong.
I've got a bet on Sakhee's Rose but I want to play it safe and go for Marmarus as my nap of the day. 18:50 Kempton - Marmarus 5/1 (win)
  14. Re: 100% profit on trebles in one year

Blackburn etc treble went down. Lost £25. Bank now £497.93
I also lost money on Blackburn last night. Very inconsistent side. I want to back them this weekend against Blackpool, but last night's showing leaves me thinking they could get beat.
