  1. Re: French Open 2015 Rafa 66-1 or 67-1 record in Paris... its so ridiculous I can't even remember how many it is! At the odds available at all major bookies and exchange (over 2/1) it is simply too much and I have to get involved. I don't care about form coming into this tournament... look at Tsonga and look at Ivanovic in the womens... it don't mean that much. I'm on Nadal BIG TIME!

  2. Re: Australian Open 2015 I like the debate on the berdych murray match! It's excellent to see that sort of decent honest chat on a forum and we don't mind a bit of friendly needle or banter between us... it all adds to the interest so top marks Czech, 1moregame and liquid! Now I'll chip in my piece... I said earlier this week that Berdych is my nemesis... when I back him he loses when I lay him he wins and I was never getting involved in one of his matches again... well I'm having second thoughts. I'm a big fan of Murray but I can see Berdy taking this one. Berdy has an excellent serve, his forehand is so flat and powerful... what has let him down in the past is footwork, fitness and most important some guile and match craft. He now appears to have corrected those issues and mentally he is stronger plus tactically much smarter. I think he could be a seriously lethal player this year. Murray is a grinder and it's all hard work... there's some talent in there obviously but he has got where he is from graft. His return game is built on pure hard work and constant training. In recent years he has found success from dealing with his mental issues. I don't think he has faced a challenge in melbourne and I think he will be ill prepared for Berdych. I think this could be the true arrival of Berdych as a top contender! I don't care about past performances for these two as I think it's a different landscape... if you considered only that then Nadal would be playing Murray tonight! Good luck everyone and keep up the good conversation!

  3. Re: Australian Open 2015 Very surprised you are on Berdych. I think Nadal is very backable at 1.57. Got to the final last year against all odds with his knees. Has an incredible record against Berdych. Beat a roughly similar player in Anderson in straight sets. Berdych is my nemesis though... when I back him he loses when I lay him he wins!!! Anyone else got any nemesis players?

  4. Re: Sky Bet League 2 > October 3rd & 4th I'm gunna get on Plymouth and the draw (double chance) - at around 1.45 - 1.50 with all books. Plymouth have only 2 pts less than Shrews but are 9 places lower ! The table is so tight and I think his is priced up a bit wrong. Shrews are yet to pick up an away win. Plymouth have Reuben Reid back.

  5. Re: Stoke City v Newcastle United > Monday September 29th Some of the stats are slightly misleading - newcastle won 3-2 away at palace in the league cup just last week... i know that's a different competition but it's still away goals and can counter the two failures to score in the league this season against southampton and villa... the former playing excellent and the latter giving many teams a scare and beating liverpool at anfield 1-0. It's the sort of game which breaks trends in my opinion and i could see goals coming as both teams are under pressure.

  6. Re: August 11 - August 17 For me Murray is a very good bet at over evens on betfair. I thought he played very well v Isner... small lapse in first set tiebreaker and he's one set down. Rest was impressive for me. Federer must be tired. Going deep in two back to back tournaments. He's not convinced me. Murray's for taking in my opinion.

  7. Re: World Matchplay 19-27 Jul I can't see Taylor losing... he's been way too good and back to his old best. On a Saturday night... hot stage... crowd fuelled up... noise deafening... pressure on... Anderson will start missing too many crucial doubles and Taylor will prevail. He has got too much course and distance form and he has not lost at Blackpool for 6-7 years I think ! That is an obscene record to oppose at odds of only 2/1 ! Like MVG v Whitlock to be close... have exact same thoughts that MVG has gone flat at parts. Will see what happens as I'm going tonight....

  8. Re: World Matchplay 19-27 Jul I think the 180s bet on Hamilton is dangerous. His finishing is the difference as he is not a massive scorer... don't get me wrong he's decent but not prolific like Lewis, MVG, Anderson. The issue I have is that he switches a lot so goes down for the 57s! I am very tempted by 11/8 at most bookies on Hamilton. I think this is a 5/6 both matchup.

  9. Re: The Masters - 12-19 Jan The price available on maguire is humongous. I watched him against Robbertson last night and he played really well. Against Perry he played unbelievable before the break. Ronnie is not invincible - I only saw him against Milkins and he left him in a couple of times so 6-1 could have been 6-3 6-4. I cannot turn down the 4.33 available on Maguire at Sportingbet so i'm going in big.

  10. Re: Australian Open 2014 MrMister where you hear about injury for Flipkens ? Can only see odds starting around 1.5 on betfair but thats just market finding its feet. I think drift is due to the severe heat in Australia and Dellacqua being a local so people think will be much better suited. I think I'll be backing Flipkens.
