  1. Re: Galatasaray SK v Arsenal > Tuesday December 9th I believe we have really great odds on Arsenal's away win this time. I can get them around 2.20 at my local bookie, so tasty. Yes, they looked quite short at the back this weekend, but still they have alot firepower to score couple of goals. Wenger believes that they can top the group and probably he won't rest many players. They lost their last game, its time to regain the confidence and game against Gala is perfect for this kind of treatment. On the other hand we have Gala which is the last team in this group and can play without any pressure. That's the only thing that scares me here, cuz I don't know Turkish league. Their last result show some improvement, but I still believe Arsenal will be too much for the home side again. Its about a pride for the home side and fight for the first place for Arsenal. Which side would you pick?

  2. Re: UEFA Champions League Qualifiers > August 26th & 27th

I understand what you are saying SnOow' date=' it's often the way in the press when the favourite fails to turn up. However given Celtic's past record and big European performances at Parkhead I believe that the media were right to shred them. The performance of the team was a disgrace to the name of the club. The coach (Ronny whatshisname) looked bewildered and clueless...Ronny Corbett could have done a better job. Maribor seized the day and fair play to them for doing so...don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I think Mariobor are no more than an average team and that may well be reflected in the group games. I fully believe Legia Warsaw would have battered them. On this occasion the focus is rightly on how unbelievably bad Celtic have been in their short excursion into Europe this year. No pardon granted.[/quote'] Ok, I must agree with you. @ElPrincipito007 I didn't say Suler is smth special, but yesteday he played the best (game of his life?) among all the players on the pitch and he deservse some credit for that.
  3. Re: UEFA Champions League Qualifiers > August 26th & 27th I don't know about you, but if you watched the game in Glasgow yesterday... Celtic underperformed for sure, but Maribor played quite good football and score line could be even bigger for guests. I was totally impressed by central defender Suler and Maribor controlled the game. I don't understand why every media is talking about Celtic's failture, but nobody praise Maribor. Anyways, I'm Arsenal fan and will be objective as much as I can. Many people are talking about another upset (Besiktas to qualify), but I really don't believe Wenger and Co. will just watch them and let them win at Emirates. It's true that Arsenal have some important missings like Giroud, Ramsey and Gibbs... Home team is more mature than years before, they have a lot of experiance with qualification rounds and enought quality to win this match comfortably.

  4. Re: Cardiff City v Arsenal > Saturday November 30th I think this is must win game for Arsenal, upcoming games are against Everton and Manchester City so today's game will be the easiest of all three in terms of individual quality. As @TotoSchillaci said above that both Manchester teams lost against Cardiff is no that bad for Gunners. They know how tough Cardiff can be (especially at home) and will be well prepared.

  5. Re: Manchester United v Arsenal > Sunday November 10th I'll back Arsenal to win to nil too. Why do I believe there is value? Arsenal are better away team in the last couple of years. They've won Liverpool and BVB without conceding. I do believe Arsenal will wait for opportunity to score, cuz they don't need to rush. On the other hand we all know Man U need points and I can't see them with conceding at least one. Arsenal are more mature than last year, their defensive players are more mature and midfield looks deadly. Small stakes.

  6. Re: Real Sociedad v Manchester United > Tuesday November 5th

I think man utd can go there and win. they are coming back into some form now and with players they have and knowing what to expect they will be ready for this one unlike the first leg. they must win this game also knowing the leverkusen and shaktar are breathing down their necks in the group. if they drop points it could mean failure to qualify from the group.
I do agree here. United are picking their form and Moyes still has a lot to prove...
  7. Re: La Liga > October 29th - 31st Betis - Levante Levante won last three away games with 1-0 scoreline and they've lost only against Real Madrid and Barcelona since start of the season. I don't know why are odds so high on guests, but I see value. I can get them around 3.9 in my local bookie, but I'd rather take Levante not to lose.

  8. Re: Capital One Cup > 29th / 30th October I also think Chelsea will not lose. Wenger really don't treat cup games like PL or CL, Mourinho will be full of confidence after win over Man C and will try to strike another win at Emirates. It's all to Wenger and how strong eleven he will start tomorrow. I do agree with Sm0k3rz that Chelsea have squad depth, but Arsenal have one of the best starting eleven in the PL atm. PS: Wenger said he'll play at least 2 subs (Gnabry for sure), but he'll not go crazy like against WBA when he started only Mertesacker from first eleven.

  9. Re: Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur > Sunday October 20th As @kevshat said above this should be different game than one in the COC, but still Tottenham really destroyed AV at Villa Park. I watched game against Man C and I'm still amazed how Villa won the game. City was better on the pitch, but not infront the goal. Odds are strange and I'm moving towards draw here. Any1 know when will be Benteke back in the squad?

  10. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 3rd Maribor changed their coach this week and this will be positive for Slovenian side. I do believe they can give hard time at home to any team in Europa League, but just can't see them winning away games yet. PS: They are the strongest team in Slovenia, but still they don't have much competition around here. Like Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia.

  11. Re: Everton v Newcastle United > Monday September 30th

Both teams to score seems interesting to me. Even if Everton has not lost a single goal at Goodison park during last 5 Premier League matches (? - if i'm wrong then correct me please). Even though i've got a kind of feeling' date=' that as was said before, Newcastle has a lot firepower, and Everton is going to have a tough night. Would love to know your thoughts about this pick. Cheers![/quote'] BTS is the bet for this one. You are right about Everton's home record, but I have feeling both sides have ability to score and conced. Last 5 games between Everton and Newcastle. 12. Re: Carling Cup > September 24th

West Brom have to be worth a look against us(Arsenal). Not sure if they will take it seriously but Wenger will definitely be rotating heavily. We are already down to the bare bones in attack and Wenger simply prioritises the league and CL games more. That means no Ozil, no Giroud, probably no Ramsey or Wilshere. Injuries obviously to Cazorla, Podolski, Chamberlain. Walcott also missed yesterday's win and might not be fit. Those who should play: Viviano in goal, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Monreal, maybe Sagna or Mertesacker. Arteta needs a game after returning yesterday on the bench. Bendtner is also in the fold again. Gnabry should play. I'd say we are ripe to get knocked out here but best to wait until team news emerges tomorrow.
I do believe Wenger will rotate. Arteta and Gnabry should start. Wenger said few interviews before Stoke that he will surely rest Wilshere, but I don't believe ambition is any lower. Wenger always rotate in Cup games, this season is not a question about that as Arsenal have many injuries atm.
  13. Re: EuroBasket 2013 - 2nd Round I would rather wait with handicap on Slovenia, if you remember game against Poland you know what I'm talking about. If Croatia will win against Greece there's nothing to fight for Slovene and they might not cover -11.5... I don't remember if they won any game in this tournament by more than 11.5 points. It's all about approach here :)

  14. Re: EuroBasket 2013 - 2nd Round

I have so many words for this Serbian team, who all played like they have bet for Ukraine win, except N.Bjelica. But, of course I'm not writing them here, I must keep my dignity...No more bets, when they are favorite...
I think the same about Greeks yesterday against Slovenia, they hardly score anything from the game in first half. I watched few French games, but I am not convinced at all. In last game against Latvia I saw another week point - they are getting to comfort when they are leading. This might be great game for Serbia as they are underdogs in this one. Nice odds on Serbie aswell. Probobly I'll come back with my bet and more news on this one. PS: My father is from Slovenia and mother from Serbia. I'm trying to be as objective as I can.
