Re: Argentina > Primera division > 2012-13
Arsenal is using an almost all reserves lineup (only the goalkeeper' date=' one defender and one midfielder from their regulars, and not the most important ones) because they play Copa Libertadores again next Thursday, price is perfectly right (and maybe should be lower) because Lanus is the best team in the league now.[/quote'] Absolutely brilliant post. This is what makes this site worth checking out, I don't often look at the Argentinian league but glad I did today. Thanks for this. 2-1 home win -
Re: Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur > Sun 10th March Home win for me. Liverpool are in good form and scoring freely. Aaron Lennon is out for Spurs and Dembele has a slight knock from thursday night. Sturridge should be fit so adding him to Coutinho and Suarez will really bolster the front line. I think Spurs will play Bale behind Defoe and therefore Holtby at left midfield. Holtby is not a natural in that position so Glen Johnson should get some joy getting up the wing. Gerrard vs Dembele (if he makes it) will be good to watch and I expect Gerrard's freshness will help. Fancy Liverpool to score atleast twice in this match and that should be enough to win

Re: Queens Park Rangers v Sunderland > Sat 9th March QPR always screw up at home when you think they need to win and this is a winnable tie. They can't be trusted, their points total so far is a very real reason not to back them. Johnson, Sessengon, Fletcher, Graham and Larsson are perfectly capable of hurting QPR

Re: Serie A > 26th Feb - 3rd March
Pretty sure they drew their last game 1-1Milan are in a good from at the moment. They played well against Barcelona and in Serie A have won last 6 games. Milan @ 1.67 William Hill -
Re: Scottish Football > 26th Feb - 2nd March
Superb stuff. Well doneLocal paper quotes that Elgin will be short of up to 9 1st team regulars, for tonights game at Berwick. Don't know if there has been a change in any odds to reflect this. Earlier this morning Berwick were quoted at 6/5 with Paddy Power. Whist you can't believe every newspaper quote, I will be on these odds, if they are still available. 2-3 points on Berwick to win. -
Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 21st February Everyone who had said that Atletico Madrid would play a weakened team is a knob

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Olympique Lyonnais > Thurs 14th February Strangely quiet in this thread. Guess everyone has been too busy with CL Well I fancy Spurs to beat Lyon tomorrow at home. Its more of a bet against Lyon than for Spurs but the Bale factor is important. Lyon have been pretty poor of late and Spurs played very well against Newcastle so I expect the good home form to continue. The main thing for me here is that AVB takes this competition much more seriously than other managers and they don't have a game this weekend either so they don't have to rest anyone. 9/10 bet for me, really fancy it Spurs 4/5 with Bet365

Re: Last 16 > Celtic v Juventus > Tue 12th February Forgot to add I have taken the under 2.5 goals at 1.70. I think Juve will settle for a draw or if they score first they will shut up shop and try to keep it at 1-0. Similarly I fancy Celtic to defend robustly and be careful not to concede an away goal. Low scoring game on the cards

Re: Last 16 > Celtic v Juventus > Tue 12th February You can't trust a Juventus team that doesn't have Chiellini. Also Their strikers waste too many chances and Asamoah will be a loss tonight as I don't think he will start. While Juventus are an excellent footballing team when at full strength and in full flow, I couldn't trust them tonight. I think they will settle for a draw. The *******s done me a few weeks ago when they somehow lost at home to Sampdoria, they just aren't playing well enough at the moment

Re: League 1 > Tue 5th February Correct me if im wrong but colchester are surely value at 3/1. They have won their last 2 games and have no injury problems apparently. Swindon have seemingly only 13 or 14 guys available due to injuries and player sales. Id love some more info on how good the remaining swindon players are if anyone has more knowledge

Re: Copa Del Rey > 30th - 31st January Madrid backline is significantly weakend. Barca have a full team to choose from and are the superior team. Can see then scoring a few tonight. Barca win for me

Re: FA Cup > 25th Jan - 27th Jan Some excellent calls in this thread

Re: Chelsea v Arsenal > Sun 20th January Ivanovich will come back into the Chelsea defence and possibly even Terry. So Im absolutely certain that David Luiz will play defensive midfield and that should make a big difference to Chelsea. Best to wait until the line ups are out especially regarding Arsenal but I would make Chelsea worth taking at 1.9. If Terry is fit then he will come into the middle with Ivanovic at RB otherwise Chelsea will probably line up with Cech, Azpelicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole, Luiz, Ramires, Hazard, Lampard, Mata, Ba. Alot depends on the Arsenal line up, Arteta is out and I understand their might be a doubt about Podolski

Re: Swansea City v Stoke City > Sat 19th January Im surprised this one hasn't been called off yet. I don't think it will survive the weather, expected to get pretty bad in wales
-
Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United > Sun 20th January Quite surprised at Spurs failing to score vs QPR and now they hav lost Adebayor to CAN. I just with Rooney back and Kagawa coming back in United will outscore them. Vidic returning will help them too. Away win, price is acceptable

Re: Liverpool v Norwich > Sat 19th January Liverpool have played well of late excluding the first half at OT. With downing finally coming into form and the addition of Sturridge and Borini I fancy Liverpool to score freely against Norwich. Had good home performances against Fulham and Sunderland and certainly fancy another. Il be taking Liverpool -1

Re: FA Cup > 29th Dec - 7th Jan We've got Man Utd next week so Johnson, Gerrard and Suarez won't be risked. In saying that though our fringe players have been performing much better recently and I think we will win. 1.20 isn't a price worth taking though.

Re: West Ham v Liverpool > Sun 9th December Yep we have played well in most games this year. Dominated alot of games and not got the rewards due to a lack of firepower and a lot of terrible refereeing decisions. However moving on we are 4 points off 4th place now with alot of winnable games coming over the next month. Then the January window hopefully to add some power upfront. Just getting started now

Re: West Ham v Liverpool > Sun 9th December
The team who actually played the ball around and used skill with movement deserved to win. West Ham just punt the ball high and hope for the best. Referee was shocking and saved West Ham from getting a hammeringDon't think they deserved to win atall. Had nothing upfront. Goals from nothing really from players not scoring for a year and an own goal. Should of been a draw but Diame going off was the difference. He was easily MOTM -
Re: West Ham v Liverpool > Sun 9th December My god that was horrific refereeing again. One ridiculous pen given and one blatant one not given. Good fightback from the redmen Love winning against Sam headball Allardyce. Same boring tactics from his sides everytime. I watched West Ham vs Stoke a few weeks ago, wanted to tear my eyes out after it.

Re: West Ham v Liverpool > Sun 9th December Liverpool fan here- I won't be betting on the outcome of the match because its too unpredictable for my liking. Even without Suarez I wouldn't rule us out of winning this game as we are fairly solid at the back and will create chances because of our good movement. We will have out first choice keeper and defence available today and that is a big plus for us. Looking at West Ham, I don't see anything in their attack that should worry us. Especially without the aerial presence of Andy Carroll I don't see them scoring easily. They might manage to nick one goal but as I said before our first choice defence is pretty damn solid. For me the best bet is under 2.5 goals which I took yesterday at 1.72 on. 8/10 bet

Re: Capital One Cup > October 30/31
Well done to all those who got on Swansea early. Knowledge is powerThe Liverpool team is- Jones Henderson Carragher Coates Robinson Allen Shelvey Cole Downing Yesil Assaidi If Swansea play their first 11 then they should get a result over us but it really depends on their line-up. If they play Michu, Pablo, Graham etc then they should have the edge up top to score a couple. Assaidi looks like he could be a quality player but Yesil is a bit young and it will take him time -
