  1. Re: Rugby World Cup 2007 - Official Thread I'd agree that England look like they have their name on the trophy. They may not be the most attractive team to watch, but they have luck on their side at the moment (even without Wilkinson kicking well) and their power means that they can bully anyone on their day. I think the other results against SA would be a motivation to England, while may be a distraction to the Springboks. The only team that can stop them retaining the world title is Argentina IMO.

:rollin:rollin:rollin:rollin:rollin:rollin:rollin Thats priceless! I watched Scotland Italy last nite and over 80 mins Scotland ran the ball through the backs 5 times. All Scotland do is kick kick kick. Argentina will hammer Scotland in the 1/4s. I'd rate Fiji beating South Africa a more likely to happen than Scotland winning. A poor poor rugby team.
The kick kick kick tactic seemed to work okay for the winners in 2003??:zzz The Argies looked pretty awesome at times today, but I think Scotland would have bitten your hand off if you had offered them a QF v Argentina before the tournament started. I think the weather will be a factor. A nice warm night and Argentina will stroll it. But a wet night will help Scotland kill the game and maybe even things up a wee bit.
  3. Re: euro 2008 Qualifiers (Oct 7th)

Oh my God - the Scots actually think they can beat the Frenc - LOL If France were at home they would be in the region of 1/10 - 1/25, I think 8/13 on Scottish turf is an absolute gift and a nice early Christmas present. France battered the World Champions in there last game with eases - can Darren Fletcher, Boyd and the gang really keep Henry and Co at bay. ERRRR NO. "Boss you can keep my Xmas bonus, I wont need it now after the Scots get stuffed and I am on with every penny I own" PAY PAY PAY
Just thought I'd remind you... Looks like you better get on your knees and start begging your boss for that bonus! :cry :lol P.s. What was the mighty England's score?? :spank

If you have every penny you own on this, then you are a fool... In the past 3 campaigns Holland, Germany and Italy have all come to Hampden and scored 2 goals between them. They have left with 2 points between them. Kenny Miller will be a big miss for Scotland, but this will be no cakewalk for the French. I think the French will win, but I don't expect an annihilation. C'mon Scotland!! :notworthy P.S. Thanks for the reminder of why I'll be supporting Macedonia tonight! :moon

  5. Re: Euro qualifiers - Wed 06/09 I think DNB is a decent shout on Scotland to be honest. (1.83 @Paddy Power) Confidence will be up, but Lithuania have always made it difficult for Scotland and I can't see this being any different. Scotland tend to pick up a few bookings, so I think 2.20 for 45 points+ is a good bet as well! Final good bet in this one is under 2.5 goals @ 1.57. There isn't a huge amount to be made here, but in four games, the scores have been 0-0, 3-0, 0-1 and 1-0. Again, if you can get McFadden as an ATS, he is always worth a bet. Bonkers Bet for me would be Andrius Skerla to score first. He had a habit of doing the business in big games for Dunfermline so as a 50/1 shout he is worth a wee bet if you are feeling frisky!! :rollin Come on Scotland!! :notworthy

  6. Re: Euro qualifiers Sat 02/09 Bet of the day for me Scotland v Faroe Islands 40+ Booking points @ 2.10 Games between the 2 are usuallly pretty hard fought, and while I think Scotland should win this without too much trouble (:hope ) The Faroes won't be coming to Glasgow for a look at the shops! 2.10 on McFadden scoring at any time is probably also worth a look, as he has a fairly decent goal tally for the national team! 'Mon Scotland!! :moon
