Eye' date=' Eye!!! IT IS DOGinsider!!!! I knew I was a genius! :p[/quote'] Had you thought that I might have just been testing you out? No? Oh well, you have further proof of my senility! :$ Best shut my mouth and get back to what I do best. :zzz Hard lines with the 1 dog at Sunderland DogInsider. They are not machines and 4 fom 5 is still hot, hot, hot!
  2. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 20th November It is really coming to something when you get thanked for a tip before it has raced, Blazing Bailey. What a strange set of people are on this site! Good luck with it anyway and I hope it justifies the faith show by your admirer! 2.30 Fakenham: Arkaim - 9/2 Bet365 and generally. My stats are a bit short of data for most of today's trainers and I have to look to fairly slim information on Pam Sly. However, Pam posts 4 wins from her 18 runners at Fakenham giving a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 36.75 points. Her Hurdlers have provided 3 of the wins from 12 runners for a LSP of 39.00 points. She has only had two runners at other qualifying courses and they both lost so this is her favoured territory. My rating, however, is a disconcerting 0 from 4 so again lowish stakes. No, don't bother to thank me!:D

  3. Re: Greyhound Insider Knowledge Tips - Daily FREE Tips

Yeah - DI is probably laying this one to death!!:rollin Am very obviously joking - Good Luck to all that get involved today :ok
Didn't have you marked down as a cynic Saint. He would have lost a few bob with the other 4! I assume that you meant GI not DI. Hey, Greyhound Insider, have you seen the number of views this thread has had? Over 12.000! Amazing interest yet only a few take the time to comment. A sad reflection of the members on this site! Anyhow, keep up the good work and who knows? Maybe others will have the good grace to say thank you for your unpaid advice, which helps to set aside a bit for Christmas. :clap
  4. Re: BBOTD > Monday 19th November 3.30 Wolverhampton: Berbice - 12/1 Bet365 Not a lot of evidence on this one but I need to make a selection so I shall rely on Linda Perratt to add to her 4 wins from 22, within my stats, which has produced a Level Stakes Profit of 16.00 points. All her qualifiers have been in Multi Aged events and her only qualifying track is Wolverhampton. My own personal rating has no figures yet. Berbice is not the most reliable of horses but it did win a couple of races over this distance at this course last year and its run a couple of races back at Musselburgh gives rise to a little ray of hope.

  5. Re: Greyhound Insider Knowledge Tips - Daily FREE Tips It is amusing to see people asking for details of the 'system'. One swallow (or in this case - three) does not make a spring but if you had a system that could regularly produce winners would you want to reveal it to the world? The effect on prices would be significant and layers would be alerted to it. The graders might well take steps to kill it off too. Personally, I think the operative word is in our benefactor's title - Insider. I also suspect that there is a little more than just a system involved as suggested by the last minute advices. So, please be sensible and stop asking for system details. It is a waste of GreyhoundInsider's time to keep saying 'no'. Just enjoy these tips and be grateful if they continue to score.

  6. Re: BBOTD Sunday 18th Nov 1/15 Cork: Count Salazar - 100/1 Bet 365 One thing the form student can never do is to nap a 100/1 winner. That is left to favourite name, the use of a pin when blindfolded and the seemingly unlucky sweepstakes ticket holder. There is, however, one other category and that is the stats/systems backer. Today's racing at Cheltenham is of course, much more interesting to the form expert but it is also a bookies' dream. If you have doubts just look at all the hype that come from them. Emails, free bets, you name it - they will fall over themselves to get you to bet at the top meeting. It may be that many will think that I have lost the plot but Eoin Doyle does well at Cork and my stats show that he has saddled 3 winners from 12 runners at the course for a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 24.50 points. His Hurdlers have contributed 2 of the wins from 7 runs (LSP 22.00). At all qualifying courses his record is 6 wins from 45 runs for a LSP of 13.50 points. Finally my personal rating comes up with 4 wins from 23 for a LSP of 16.00 points. Eoin is no stranger to longer priced winners. The horse was a moderate performer under points but its 3 runs under rules have seen it fail to finish a race. But it has been running in Chases and quite obviously does have problems over jumping the larger obstacles. Today, however, is a different order with the smaller timber obstacles and this could just see a change of fortune. Absolute minimum nap material and cross everything!

  7. Re: BBOTD ~ Saturday 17th Nov 2.55 Wetherby: Ballincurrig - 7/2 William Hill My stats are finding Charlie Longsdon difficult to fathom of late but he is showing 2 wins from 12 runs at Wetherby posting a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of just 0.25 points and his Hurdlers at the course are on 0 from 6. However, following all his Hurdlers at qualifying tracks has produced 15 wins from 83 runs and a LSP of 60.44 and my personal rating is at 18 wins from 91 runs for a LSP of 61.54. About time Charlie redressed the balance at Wetherby, I hope. Small bet.. Backed down from 11/2

  8. Re: The Jockey Thread I accept that some apprentice jockeys are worth more than others - that is true about all walks of life - but they are still learning their trade. The top jockeys, and Barzalona is one, are still enjoying an advantage despite the allowance. The allowance is, of course, more important in certain circumstances. Taking a little off the load of high weighted horses for instance. More important is the effect of the allowance in heavy going, where the likes of those mentioned earlier do possibly measure up to the better of the experienced riders because of their allowance. In sprints the allowance is minimal really as 7 pounds is equal to just over 2 lengths. Does anyone think the top jocks are not worth a bit more than 2 lengths over 5 or 6 furlongs. No brainer!

  9. Re: The Jockey Thread

In fairness' date=' who gives a toss about the jockeys championship? Who cares who wins. Seb Sanders won it, and he is a mule of a jockey. For me, it should be done on percentage of winners instead of the amount of winners, because the likes of Hughes/Hanagan/Moore get 7 or 8 rides a day, and the other jockeys can't compete.[/quote'] I am staggered to read this from somebody that merits my respect. Seb Sauders was stable jockey for Sir Mark Prescott for many years (and was a constant source of income for me when he was on a Sir Mark horse). Sir Mark is universally accepted as one of the keenest brains in horseracing and if you really think he would have put up with a 'mule' for so many successful years then I am afraid that you have a massive amount of learning to do when it comes to jockeys. And there were few better exponents of riding from the front than Richard Hills. Brother Michael wasn't all that bad either. Incidentally, to avoid any accusations of partiality, I am not Jewish.
  10. Re: BBOTD > Friday 16th November 7.15 Wolverhampton: Pekan Star - 16/1 Paddy Power. Trainer Roger Varian is getting to be just as difficult to fathom for me as was his mentor, Michael Jarvis but my stats show up pretty well with 5 wins from 13 runs at the course producing a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 14.25 points. His Multi Aged events runners have given all 5 wins with just 4 losers and, of course a LSP of 18.25, His 6 Multi Aged events runners at other qualifying courses have not produced a win so it seems the trainer tends to target Wolverhampton. He does have another Multi Aged runner earlier in the evening as well as a 2 year old but the profile of Pekan Star is the best of the three, I do not have any figures for my own rating. Big price makes this worth a minor punt.

  11. Re: bbotd thurs 5.55 Kempton: LUNETTE - 7/2 BetVictor Ralph Beckett runs two 2 year olds at the meeting and their profiles under my stats are the same. However, Lunette gets the vote over Ingot of Gold due to the presence of the Godlphin runner in the latter's race. Ralph has scored with 24 of his 108 runners at the course to record a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 25.56, His Kempton 2 yos are at 12 wins from 38 runs for a LSP of 31.15 and all 2 yos at qualifying coures reads 13 wins from 50 runs (LSP 20.87). Ralph prefers Kempton. My personal rating is only 4 wins from 25 runs but still shows a LSP of 2.00 points. Hope this excellent trainer can keep up the good work. 8 winnners from 14 runners on my personal thread yesterday inluding all three from Mrs. Fitri Hay - mentioned in my post in yesterday's BBOTD.

  12. Re: BBOTD - Wednesday 14th of November 5.55 Kempton: Melvin the Grate - 15/8 Paddy Power. I assume that this horse's name is a joke and hope that Melvin was not offended. Oriental lady, married to a Scotsman, Mrs, Fitri Hay has been doing well at Kempton and with her 2 year olds in general. My stats have her at 4 wins from 16 runners at Kempton for a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 2.69 points. Her 2 yos are mainly responsible with 3 wins coming from mjust 8 runners to post a LSP of 8.19 points. 2 yos at all qualifying tracks are at 5 wins from 13 runs (LSP 11.44) and my personal rating is on 4 wins from 17 runs for a LSP of 6,08 points. Fitri runs 3 of her 2 yos this evening and all could win but, at the quoted price, this one looks to be the most profitable. 5 winners from 11 selections on my personal thread today and I am looking to Mrs. Hay to add to them.

  13. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 12th November 3.50 Sedgefield: Mr Supreme - 4/1 Bet365 (and others) Trainer Keith Reveley does well at Sedgefield and my stats show him to have scored with 5 of his 26 runners at the course for a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 17.12. His Sedgefield Hurdlers return a LSP of 14.00 with his two wins coming from 11 runs. At all qualifyig courses his Hurdlers continue the good figures with 4 wins from 20 runs (LSP 17.75). Finally, my own ratings show 4 wins from 18 runs for a LSP of 20.33. Keith has 3 Hurdlers out here today and I hope that I have opted for the right one despite its long absence. His two Chasers are not without a chance either. Not the strongest of naps but what data we have is all positive so fingers crossed.

  14. Re: Greyhound Insider Knowledge Tips - Daily FREE Tips DogInsider, Just a point. Are you able to at least give notice of the hour or at even the day of a potential bet? Do not wish to look a gift horse in the mouth but I think that, good though you may be, people will tire of checking all times of the day. You have already generated a lot of interest. Please firm it up by giving us an idea of when to look. It would be great to have a profit-making tipster on what must be about the toughest medium of all - fintron is so right.

  15. Re: Greyhound Insider Knowledge Tips - Daily FREE Tips Nice start. DogInsider :welcome I got 4/5 (tried with betfair at 2.25 but no deal!) Never touch dogs but you tempted me. Learned my lesson from my local track and I never go there now because I hate losing! The only time I made money on greyhounds was when I lived near Crayford (for about 6 months way back around 1976), when I must have found a way through the handicapper as I was winning big money meeting after meeting on combination forecasts. So good I was going to every meeting. My success faded rapidly when one of the big bookies (Corals, I think) took over. Fortunately. I was quick enough to stop so Crayford will retain a soft spot in a heart, hardened by experience! So thanks mate. Maybe you can restore my faith in the dogs.

  16. Re: BBOTD Monday 12th 1.55 Carlisle: PAPA CARUSO - 2/1 Bet365. Sue Smith is the leading trainer at Carlisle and this is reflected in my stats with 11 wins coming from 39 runners for a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 33.50 points. Her Carlisle Chasers are at 7 wins from 27 runners for a LSP of 26.75. Looking to her Chasers at all qualifying courses we find that she has won 8 out of 34 for a LSP of 23.75, which underlines the preference for Carlisle. My ratings are poor at 0 from 1 and 1 from 5 (level stakes loss of 2.25) but I am hopeful that the selection will improve these figures.

  17. Re: BBOTD Sunday 11th November 2.15 Market Rasen: TOUGH TALKIN MAN - 15/2 BetVictor Trainer Peter Bowen has performed well under my stats and MR is one of his best courses with 10 wins from 39 runners producing a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 12.87. His Chasers have been the spearhead with 5 wins from 17 runners and a LSP of 10.37. All Chasers at qualifying courses are at 19 wins from 70 runs for a LSP of 59.04. My personal rating shows 13 wins from 62 runs for a LSP of 28.12. The selection looks the better of the trainer's two hasers at this meeting.

  18. Re: BBOTD > Saturday 10th November I have not read anything in the rules to this competition that deals with the Bet365 4/1+ offer under which this excellent bookie gives a free bet in the next Ch4 race if one backs a winner at 4/1 or over. The bookie is ultra fair as should your selection come in to less than 4/1 the bet still stands but if for instance you have backed at say 7/2 and the SP (BOG remember) goes out to 4/1 or over the free bet still stands. This excellent concession is at its highest level of attraction when the races are on Ch4 as Bet365 seeks to at least match the best prices of most leading bookies. There seems little point in looking elsewhere for your Saturday punting. I put up the free bet option just in case, although I appreciate that allowing it might just be a tad too much for the admirable Billy Hills to handle. One point, incidentally, I do not necessarily intend to back the extra one if the free bet does not materialise.

  19. Re: BBOTD > Saturday 10th November 3.10 Doncaster: Ultrasonic - 13/2 Bet365 (and a free bet if a winner on Zarrafakt in the 3.25 Wincanton) Today I switch to my owner stats where Khaled Abdulla has proved to be a good source of profit. This owner has had 6 wins from his 22 runners at Doncaster to give a Level Stakes Profit (LSP) of 19.30 points. A fair slice of these figures has come from Multi Aged events with 3 wins from13 runs producing a LSP of 9.00 points. Looking to all his runners in Multi Aged races at all qualifying courses we see 18 wins from 62 runs and a LSP of 22.08 underlining the fact that Khaled Abdulla is not only a good judge of horses but he knows a bit about selecting trainers too. The only small niggling doubt, but it is small, comes from my personal ratings, which show 1 win from 4 (LSP 0.50) and 14 from 37 (level stakes loss 2.60). Ultrasonic has already finished placed in two listed races and hopefully today it will convert that black type placed record to black type winner.
