Where are all these goals in the Newcastle - Man Utd game coming from? Frustrating for the majority of people I would think.

You need to stop thinking that certain teams will play underish games forever. Every match is a story of its own and many times accidental goals are scored and if the game opens up early, it often goes with a lot of goals.

When I saw that Newcastle had 0-1 in the last 4 games, I was confident of seeing goals and played 1X and over 1,5 at great odds of 2,8.

  2. I have to disagree with some of you here. I think you are choosing too obvious bets and as you know form and stats are changeable.

First of all, United's games will not be boring and goalless forever. We saw their "great" defense against Arsenal - Watford is not Arsenal but does have some weapons upfront. I am waiting for Deeney to explode and make few games with consecutive scoring. For me, this is a BTS @ odds around 2.

Chelsea? Everybody wonders about them. But lets look from the players side. They are people, they will say ENOUGH eventually and start playing for themselves, for their satisfaction. How many games will pass until Hazard will become efficient? I don't think many. Norwich is everything but a powerhouse in defense and Chelsea should have an easy job against a team that doesn't know how to defend. Chelsea Home win and Team over 1,5 @ around 1,7.

    Newcastle Team Over 1,5 @ odds 2,3

Everybody expects an open game, but I am looking this from the other side. Leicester cannot be level with points with the best teams all season long and will eventually slip down. Newcastle plays motivated at home like always and surely will be dying to beat team No.3 at the table. Leicester does not have a defense that is very strong and I expect a good game from Wijnaldum, Ayoze, Mitrovic, Thauvin to make several good chances. I wouldn't take into consideration a bad game at Bournemouth last week as they were going for a draw and luckily got away with a win.

  3. Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July Sheriff Win to nill @1,9 (local) The Moldavian side is two classes better and more organised than the Montenegrin. They have even a good bench, one of the best players from Serbian league, Tiago Galvao, has come also in Tiraspol. Sheriff have been pretty good in the qualifications in the previous years, unlike the Montenegrin sides. Sheriff is a serious team, Sutjeska will play very defensively like almost every Balkan side against stronger opponent away from home. Sutjeska has got only players from Montenegro, with the exception of two low quality Serbians and one Japanese.

  4. Re: Serie A > November 9th & 10th Catania's missings really are a blow, but look at the rest of the available players! They still have a pretty good team, nothing worse than Udinese's. My feeling is that the fear from relegation and the pressure from the stands will prevail in Catania's favor. How many times have we seen that teams playing without best 2-3 players win unexpectedly (previous night Ligue 2).

  5. Re: Serie A > November 2nd - 4th Livorno Team Over 1,5 goals @2,5 (local) They are playing crazy football, very attacking and they create lots of chances. Paulinho is in great shape and he can be tried as a goalscorer, too. On the other hand we have Atalanta that has more quality upfront than in front of the goalkeeper. As Livorno needs to gain points against similar opponents, they must be concentrated and eager to win this one. Torino Double chance 1X @1,91 We have all talked about Roma and really their streak must come to an end. They didn't look very fresh and dangerous as before against Chievo. Torino is a team that I respect, having one of the best 2 players that don't play in the best 6 teams in Italy - Cerci (together with Diamanti) and other good offensive weappons. They are not safe in defense, rather I expect an average performance from Roma upfront. Torino's morale should be high as now everyone wants to be get Roma's innocence. Also, they took a point at Livorno last game after equalising in the last minutes of the match.

  6. Re: Serie A > October 29th - 31st There could be few more goals this round - Viola, Livorno, Genoa all look to me overish. Sampdoria double chance is tempting, sooner or later Verona will not win at home and they are not playing that well at all. Last game in Verona they were outplayed by Parma but somehow they won. OK, someone could say they fight and these comebacks are a positive thing, but I am not satisfied with them and at some point they won't score more than the shaky defense receives. It looks to me more as a draw, but wouldn't be surprised with Sampa win.

  7. Re: Crystal Palace v Arsenal > Saturday October 26th Has there been any problem with Williams in CP? He was outstanding last season and I do believe he could have a nice game against Arsenal. Bear in mind that there have been rumours the Gunners are interested in him. All in all, I will play riskier Over 3,5 and 4,5 goals as Palace have more goals in them than there have been so far.

  8. Re: Sky Bet Championship > October 26th - 28th Brighton may turn the fortune against an attractive side like Watford. The visitors are pretty leaky at the back and don't create as many chances as last year. It looks to me that B&H can be one of those teams that are better when they aren't playing as favorites. I just love Derby's stile of playing and the creativity they possess in midfield. If they were stronger in defense I would be sure in a HW. Leicester's game has a huge potential for goals. As they haven't had more than 3 goals in their last 5 games, I expect here a better percentage of used chances. Over 3,5 and 4,5 goals.

  9. Re: Serie A > October 26th & 27th

Sampdoria V Atalanta Sampdoria DNB @ 7/10 (Betfair) > 2.25 Units Dramatic first win of the season for Samp yesterday and the manor of the victory will be a huge psychological boost for Delio Rossi's side. Sampdoria have had a very poor start to the campaign but the board refused to sack Rossi and I think their patience was mature as Sampdoria have a very young side overall and coach rotation would probably be more of a hindrance than a help in this situation. I really liked the Sampdoria lineup at Livorno yesterday, Icelandic international Birkir Bjarnason looks to be the final piece of the jigsaw in that central midfield area alongside Obiang and Krsticic. The archetype back 3 of Gastaldello, Palombo and Costa was restored and looked very solid against an extremely offensive and tenacious Livorno attack. Eder returned to the fold alongside Gabbiadini upfront and the Brazilian striker was a menace throughout. Atalanta on the other hand are in a rich vein of form at the momment having won their last 3 league games. Despite this, I do not really like Atalanta on the road, generally they are poor on their travels, relying on the vast majority of their points tally to come from home matches where they are generally decent. Their defence is solid enough but they can at times struggle to create opportunities and score goals, they're sometimes too predictable in certain games due to a lack of strength in depth. Sampdoria's defence looks really strong at the momment and I can see them shutting down Atalanta here. Both sides are in a good place psychologically at the momment but this is an opportunity for Samp to get their first home win of the season. I've taken this one early as I'm not sure the price will hold, full draw cover on the home side @ 7/10 is worth a blast in my view. I've taken the DNB on Betfair's exchange as it will be easy to lay off if anything goes awry with team news during the week. Will post updates if there are further developments.
I agree pretty much. Samp played great, very organised football last season, but they haven't shown the same this year. The wheel must turn around in their favour because they still have mostly the same squad. Atalanta is nothing special at all, in fact I rate them in the worst 5-6 teams this season. Obiang, De Silvestri, Bjarnason are just great players and this is a great opportunity for Samp to win.
  10. Re: Serbia > Super Liga > 2012-13 Great value in Rad X2. They sold out their best players, the team is too young and inexperienced, while Doji Srem has a solid team, with some good names like Josimov and Damjanovic in their squad. The rain will surely ease this bet, I expect a draw here. To add that their first goalkeeper (a perspective one) will miss this match due to a red card.

  11. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2012/13

Heerenveen - PSV I fancy another big victory for PSV here, although on paper this should be a hard place to visit. Not anymore in my opinion - Heerenveen were a very good home team in the past years, but selling off many key players, this season they are much weakened. They have only two top class players - young Serb talent Djuricic and the goal-machine from Iceland Finnbogason, who replaced successfully Bas Dost. Under some conditions, also winger Van La Parra can be considered quality, however, everything else in Van Basten's team is crap and very low quality. Their defense is comical at moments, and their midfield not only lacks basic creativity, but their mistakes regularly give start to dangerous counter-attacks. Heerenveen is e perfect match for PSV - a team that plays very offensively, but has got poor midfield and defense. I put this team in the same place with Heracles, ADO and Roda. The scores of PSV against this type of teams this season are breathtaking - 5:1 vs Heerenveen, 6:1 and 7:0 vs. ADO, 5:0 against Roda, 4:0 and 5:1 against Heracles. As I said, Heerenveen's midfield is weak and this is the key factor in this handicap bet. If you watch PSV, you would know that the majority of their high goal tally is achieved in exactly the same fashion - stealing the ball from opposition midfield and after few quick passes bringing an attacker face to face with the goal-keeper. Hence, it is never a good thing to have a midfield prone to passing mistakes when playing PSV - they move the ball so quickly on the counter-attack. PSV have some problems with missing players - key attackers Lens (suspension) and Narsingh (long-term injury) are missing. However, they can easily be replaced with similar quality players as PSV has enormous potential up-front. Their best attackers and probably the best player in Eredivisie - Dries Mertens, is on fire at the moment, and he is the only attacker of PSV whose absence is difficult to be compensated. Young talent Locadia will play and he is definitely no worse than Lens or Narsingh - he has got 9 goals so far, despite having just little playing time, and he scored a hat-trick last Wednesday in Zwolle. PSV -1.5 @ 2.30
Obviously we have forgotten that PSV has a dreadful defense, not worth of claiming the title. They are playing like lowly team that collects most of its points at home - if they get something away, that's OK. Stupid blocks :wall
  12. Re: Serie A > 8th - 10th March Handanovic is out? Even without this knowledge, I wanted to suggest BTS @1,7-1,8. Kone is out, but Diamanti and Gila are dangerous as hell. They scored in Napoli, scored against Milan away... Inter's defense is not reliable at all and I still cannot forgive myself not playing last week's Inter game BTS.

  13. Re: Serie A > 23rd - 25th February I would rather play Roma AW than Milan at similar odds. Milan is not yet fully established as a team, they will still show some inconsistence. This is a special match, so everything can happen. Roma, after all of the changes, seems slightly less attractive to watch, but more serious as a team. The defense is far, far better and the killers upfront can now rely on a solid back behind them. Atalanta is worse than the previous year, some players left too and the home ground is not a fortress anymore. They seem clueless most of the time in their matches and I believe Roma will know how to use it. Roma AW IMO, there is a high probability of goals in Bologna, as the both teams are in good shooting form, with some individuals that can score from nothing.

  14. Re: Bundesliga 2 > 8th - 11th February I may play a double including Kaiserslautern home win, but one thing is uncertain for me. They have a good defence and attack, but lack in cohesion in the middle. Their best player in the middle Baumjohann wasn't included in the squad last weekend. He has been training fully, but still is not sure for the starting 11. If he starts, I would not fear for FCK's home win.
