  1. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 24-26 September

What are you raving about??? Everton are in 7th place in the table with a game in hand. If they win the game in hand they go into 3rd spot!! Some shambles that :eyes
Agreed they are not in shambles but their position definately flatters them. Had a very easy fixture list compared to most and shouldn't have picked up the results they have either. Blackburn should have definately won at home and pretty sure Villa and Wigan had their chances. Man City are in a different league to them and all the teams they have faced. Plus the fact they are at home means I can't see Everton getting anything this time round.

Top teams playing so called weaker sides and I guess outsiders can be taken in some sort of a handicap' date=' especially Swansea and [b']if Villas Boas will play Torres again I can't see them beating Swansea by many goals. Arsenal might be a good pick considering that they won last 9 out of 10 games against Bolton (lost the last one). Might even take it in a double with Man.United who beat Stoke in all 7 games since they were promoted to Premier League.
Don't agree with that part. Despite only scoring 1 goal, don't think anyone can argue that Torres hasn't been playing well for the last few games. Sure he missed an absolute sitter but he also played very well on Sunday. Scored a great goal and created a few chances, namely putting it on a plate for Ramires. Also even if he does play, Chelsea have goals from all over the place. Malouda, Mata, Anelka, Drogba (If his back), Lampard, Ramires, Merieles etc. I can see Chelsea winning comfortably.
  3. Re: Man Utd Special I don't think they are guaranteed to win anything yet. They have started very well, but who knows what could happen this year? Man City look like they could push them all the way in the League, the FA Cup seems to have been alluding them for some years and of course Barca stand in the way of winning the Champions League. Also the League Cup will be interesting this year in regards to United. They have always played the young lads and reserve team players, but this year I don't really see a weak team they can put out. All the young players are battling and keeping first team places, so unless he really goes into the youth team he is going to have a great team for the League Cup.

  4. Re: England > Weekend > League 1 > 9-10 September

not sure about the home win but have taken both teams to score here. I was going to stay away for the same reasons as above but having read that no players were on the pitch for over 60 minutes' date=' I've decided to play. I think the Juventus match has the potential to lift both sides - it would have been the best footballing moment for most of the county players and they will look to continue that flow of motivation whilst Walsall should rise their game to overcome a team that held Juventus 1-1! Neither side look particularly strong at the back.[/quote'] Yeah I saw it on Sky Sports News about 10 minutes after I posted that they were playing Juve. Still think they should overcome a pretty poor Walsall side though.

You obviously didn't read my post properly, of course City's team has changed, and changed for the better! I quoted Wigan's results to show how their results against last years top 6 are tight affairs as evidence that they are not a team to, as it were "crumble." Wigan have remained the same, apart from N'Zogbia and Cleverley leaving. They seem to have two like for like though probably inferior (at the moment) players taking over from these two, Moses for Zog and McManaman for Cleverley. Both these two were injured for last parts of the campaign last time out. I think City will win, but for everyone thinking they will score loadsa goals because they have in the past 3 games is naive to think so- especially after an international schedule for almost all their players and their FIRST champions league game against Napoli a couple of days later after this game. P.S. Just saw under 3.5 goals @ 1.79 on BFair, that to me also has to be taken. Good luck with your bet :ok
I think the loss of the two best players is massive to Wigan, especially N'Zogbia who pretty much won games almost singlehandedly for them. As for City, they can rest all the player's they want and bring in a 2nd team that would probably still make the top 4, that's why I can't see this being anything other than a crushing victory and a game with more then 2 goals. Sure, they can rest Dzeko and bring in Tevez, rest Silva and bring in Johnson, Balotelli for Nasri etc. etc. etc. Either way, one of us is going to be right, and I may well be eating my words at 5pm Saturday :) Good Luck!

Arsenal & Wigan vs Man City under 2.5 goals @ 3.51 BFair Man City have had an amazing start, with a dearth of attacking talent at their disposal. It might be surprising to go for unders with a team that has gone +2.5 in their last 3 games, but their opponents Wigan last term against the top 6 away had these results: Arsenal loss 3-0, Chelsea loss 1-0, United loss 2-0, City loss 1-0, LPool draw 1-1 and Spurs win 1-0. Only 1 out of the 6 went above 2.5 goals. So far this season none of their games have finished over 2.5. I think they are disciplined, committed and mature enough to not let their heads drop when they inevitably fall behind. Couple this with Man City players returning after a hectic international schedule then Mancini will probably rotate the pack, and I can see them getting a content win in 3rd gear that is won by a goal or a couple goals. :hope
Things have completely changed since last year so I don't think that is relevant. City have 4-5 world class attacking player's at their disposal now and Wigan continue to sell their better player's each year. I'm going for Man City -2 at 2.3.
  7. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifiers > 6 September England Win and Over 12 Corners and Over 6 Cards - 25/1 Anyone think there is any value in this? England are almost a certainty and should get quite a few corners. Only way I can see there being over 6 cards is if England are cruising and Wales decide to take a few players out. Definately a longshot but is a very good price.

  8. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 10-12 September

Everton v Aston Villa - Draw - 3.36 Last 4 out of 5 meetings have been a draw. Both sides struggling for goals I can see here with Everton scoring 2 this season, Villa have 3. Aston Villa have already drew 2 this season already also. Can see both teams cancelling eachother out and the game fizzling into a possible 0-0 draw.
At 3/1 I see Villa as being a decent bet. Likely to see a very unhappy Goodison Park after their dealings in the transfer market and quite the opposite at Villa, who have strengthed the positions they needed to. Normally goals in this fixture and I think Villa are more likely to score with their attacking options.
  9. Re: Barclays Premier League > Ante-Post 2011-12 Season O'Shea has always been a top performer and can only see him improving from playing week in, week out. No chance Sunderland will be anywhere near the dropzone next May. What do you think about Stoke being top Midlands club at 3.50? Only rivals will be Villa but with Young gone and Downing close to moving I can see them struggling.
