Re: Winning Theories Over the last twelve months I have backed every horse with the words "dance", "dancer" or "dancing" in the name. I apologise for not having the statistics to hand but it has made me a reasonable profit. I have also had a degree of success in backing third favourites in the 7/1 to 10/1 range in minor NH meetings. My view is that favourites are invariably too short at these type of meetings where there are too many unknown variables. Bigger meetings like the Cheltenham festival tend to see horses priced more realistically as there is more information and more scrutiny of each runner.
