  1. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday 15 March Schalke to win @ 1.88 sounds like good value to me. Both Farfan and Huntelaar, two players they didn't have in the first match, are back and Twente showed last weekend that their form is far from stable (3-1 loss verus N.E.C). Schalke will want some revenge for the very questionable penalty + red card they got in Twente, and I think they won't have much problems cleaning up Twente at home simply because of the class difference between the two clubs. High stakes on Schalke to win.

Man Utd' date=' Man City and PSV all to qualify at 23/1 with the Hills. Any thoughts on this?[/quote'] PSV lost 4-2 at Valancia, and the two goals they did score (4-1 , 4-2) where because Valancia lost focus at the end of the game. Valencia is simply the (much) better team, so I feel like any money you put on PSV to qualify is lost. But your call, ofcourse.
  2. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday 8 March

where on earth do you guys pick your stats from? totally miss leading people on psv! heres there last 10 away fixtures in the europa league. yes they havent played the best of teams but you can only play whats infront of you and id say 7wins is pretty GOOD!
And? They teams they win against aren't very impressive and they lost 4-1 to benefica. Tonight they where completely overclassed by Valancia, getting 4-0 behind at one point and failing to impress throughout the game. So I don't think I misled anyone with that post, actually if people followed it they would have made some money.
  3. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday 8 March Both Strootman (dutch international and a very good midfielder) and Engelaar (meh) are (most likely) going to play against Valencia, both of them wherent there last sunday against Twente. Still doesn't change the fact that the PSV defence is going to have a very hard time against Valencia and I'm still expecting a relatively easy Valencia win.

  4. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday 8 March PSV has a pretty nice attack force, but their defence isn't good at all (which cost them last weekend, 6-2 loss at home versus Twente with pretty much their entire squad at full strength). They might be slightly overpriced, but in all honesty I can't see them winning or even getting out a draw against a motivated Valencia side. I have actually taken a small bet on Valencia, simply because Dutch teams never do good away from home against the sub top of the Spanish league... the class difference is too much.

  5. Re: Italia Serie A 1st round Why isn't Sneijder playing for Inter and an old man like Stankovich is? Seems like complete madness to me, Sneijder is easily in the top 10 best players of the world and he starts on the bench? Italian football is so weird sometimes. -edit: Just read it's to rest Sneijder for the champions league match. Seems unnecessary and I hope it doesn't hurt them since I already put down a bet on Inter.

  6. Re: Netherlands - Eredivisie - 10-11 September

Also' date=' there is no Ruiz for Twente as he went to Fulham on last day of transfer window, but nevertheless i think they should win vs Roda.[/quote'] Yes obviously, but I think the bookies overreacted to this. Twente has replaced Ruiz with Feyenoord talent Fer, who is also more than capable to make the goals. Yes definitely. Betfair had 1.66 odds yesterday, but I noticed other bookies place Twente at around 1.45 - 1.55.
  7. Re: Netherlands - Eredivisie - 10-11 September I think Twente is great value @ 1.66 versus Roda JC. Roda JC played very poorly against FC Utrecht two weeks ago and even lost to ''new kid on the block'' RKC Waalwijk the week before that in their own stadium (2-0). They lack creativity up front and have a pretty shaky defence. Twente on the other hand is making a solid impression, having won 4 out of 4 games with ease and are #1 in the Eredivisie. They're missing winger Chadli, but against such a poorly performing Roda JC (1 win, 3 losses) that shouldn't be a problem. High stakes on Twente to win, they trashed Heerenveen and VVV Venlo recently and I'm feeling very confident about this one. -edit: Obviously Twente is also missing Ruiz, who went to Fullham, but since they replaced him with Fer I think it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

  8. Re: England > Weekend > Npower Football League One > 3-5 September

Sport Football (England - L1) Event Charlton vs Sheff Wed Selection Over 2.5 Goals Strength 10/10 Date 05/09/2011 Bookmaker/Price Coral @ 1.91 Reasoning Both Charlton and Sheff Wed have played 5 league games so far this season. For Charlton, 4 out of 5 of those games have ended Over 2.5 Goals. For Sheff Wed, 3 out of 5 of those games have ended Over 2.5 Goals. Both sides are high scorers and also leak goals at the back, it has got to be the overs for me in this fixture.
+1 at this, 1.9 seems like excellent value for over 2.5 here.
  9. Re: Irish Leagues - June/July

Monaghan to beat Finn harps 5/6 paddy power Monaghan are 3rd in the league and play 3rd bottom here they've only lost once in there last 5 and have a great away record winning 7 drawing 2 and only loosing 1 harps dont have the best home record winning 3 drawing 3 and loosing 5 a win could take Monaghan 2nd top :hope
What's up with this match then? Put a small bet down on Monaghan and when I try to access the page with the match details on betfair is says the page doesn't exist or something like that.
  10. Re: Brazil Serie B 2011 THREAD

Bragantino - Gremio Barueri 01:30CET Bragantino is flying at the moment, morale in the squad is on awesomelevel after beating ABC in last game by 5-0, simply trashed them in away game. On the side of Barueri many problems. Gremio Barueri coach will miss 8 players for this duel, unbelivable but true (at least 5 of them are starters). The missings are central defender Diego Giaretta , right back Marcos Pimentel and left back Zé Carlos all suspended, midfielder Danilo Sacramento too and striker Marcelinho - SUSPENDED! In addition wingers Ademir Sopa and Anselmo, as well as attacker Pedrão are all injured and out of the game. Bragantino (-0.5) AH @2.13 sbobet 4/10 Bragantino HT/FT @3.40 ladbrokes 1/10
    2 - 1 , good call.. thanks :ok
  11. Re: Netherlands - Eredivisie Play-off 26 May FC Zwolle - VVV Venlo FC Zwolle had a great start in the Jupiler League and for a long time it looked like they where actually going to win it. However, for the past few months they have been playing poorer and poorer and gave it away. Against Cambuur last week they failed to impress, and needed a penalty shootout to go through. VVV had a poor season in the Eredivisie, agreed, but I think they are still the favourites in this game. They have the Eredivisie experience FC Zwolle lacks, and Arne Slot from FC Zwolle even said ''VVV venlo can have the favourite roll in this game''. The bookies seem to disagree, pricing VVV @ 3.6 and Zwolle @ 2.22. Going in for a draw no bet win for VVV @ 2.52 on Betfair with low to possible medium stakes. Seems too risky to go full pull on VVV because you never really know with these playoff games.

  12. Re: Holland Play off

Didn't Excelsior manage to lose 12 of their 17 away league games this season? http://www.soccerway.com/national/netherlands/eredivisie/2010-2011/regular-season/
Excelsior had a terrible squad the first half of the season, now however they have Roorda and Fernandez, who are both excellent players that can really make a difference. Excelsior has been in great shape the last five or six games (they even gave Ajax a good run for their money) and @2.3 (Betfair) I think they are great value. FCDB is ''just another'' Jupiler League squad, they have a few good players but nothing too fancy. Medium stakes on Excelsior to win.
  13. Re: Netherlands - Eredivisie - 15 May I'm not betting on PSV, they are in a terrible form lately and simply lack good players. They have an awful defence, okayish midfield and an offence that has trouble scoring. The departure of Affelay to Barcelona and Reis being injured has been a huge blow for them and they can't seem to recover. They do however really need the win versus Groningen to get a Champions League playoff spot, so they will be motivated to win. Groningen on the other hand isn't really playing for anything (they have their Europa League playoff spot) but can still finish 4th if they win and AZ loses). That's why I'm taking a cheeky small stakes bet on a Groningen win @ 4.8 on betfair. I'm staying away from betting on Ajax - Twente since I'm an Ajax fan.
