Enjoy the rest of your home leave Men / Women, we rendezvos at 07:40 Hrs on Tuesday 12th March 2013 for the Morning Line. Tell the Bookmaker to bring his / her fecking dinner. Hahaha, great post! I can't wait. I've had quite a bit on antepost and all those horses bar 1 have been cut in price by a couple of points minimum so if they get cut even more then I'm onto a profit. Antepost betting is still decent! Nearly 2 weeks.
  2. Re: Cheltenham only 2 months away I can't wait. Booked a week off work although not sure if I will make the trip up there. Prefer not to go on the Friday as the last time I went, it was just full of pissed up lads looking for scraps rather then watching the racing, I seen the worst fight I think I've ever seen outside back in 2011 after the races, pure horrible that. I want to go on the Tuesday if any day. I don't mind watching it at home. I'm already 'studying' as much as I can and I just want it to hurry up! Have quite a few quid antepost this year. The first time ever I think and have quite a bit on the Quevega/SS double which looks solid enough to me. On the one hand I want Cheltenham to come but then I know it's approaching the end of the jumps season which is a downside!

  3. Re: New Year Resolutions More discipline is my main resolution. I much prefer betting in cash as I feel I get too complacent online and start throwing money around rather then have cash. I'm going to try and use cash instore for football betting as I'm showing good profit from that lately (I had a 6 month break as I was out of the country) and using online for BOG singles on horses. That's my main plan. I've tended to stay away from horses lately due to the weather and only get involved unless I'm really confident. Although I'm content with a watching brief till Cheltenham. Gathering information and reading form most days and saving for Cheltenham where I'll feel very prepared. We'll see. All the best people.

  4. Re: BBOTD - Mon 9th May TOWCESTER 17:30 Autumn Spirit Autumn Spirit carries top weight here but has the best form to offer over fences here. She was beaten fairly in better company here last time out at Towcester but she drops down a class here and looks a fair value for money. She won on her chase debut at Leicester back in March in a C4 and was raised 8lb for that success and is now running on a mark of 89. It will be interesting to see how she performs as she has never had much success on this mark being pulled up at Exeter and her 3rd last time out but the drop down in class should help her. Muntami looks to start off as fave but has never impressed on his chase form and although he has some fair form over hurdles, he has always had a question mark against his chase form. There is an interesting runner in Goodtimetoby who ran a 3rd in a C4 at Exeter LTO and runs off the same mark here with a step down in class but he pulled up when Autumn Spirit won at Leicester, so she has the upper hand in this I feel. 0.5pt e/w Autumn Spirit at SP.

  5. Re: BBOTD 8th May Plumpton 14:10 STEVIE THUNDER Stevie Thunder drops down a class today and should break his duck over hurdles in this maiden race. He finished 4 lengths behind Lifestyle who looks a decent hurdler in the making under Nicky Henderson. He has been beaten on his first start over hurdles by McCain's Drill Sargeant who has contested a couple of good races lately including the grade 3 Swinton Hurdle yesterday. Stevie Thunder has also faced Colin Tizzard's horse Falcon Island on his 2nd start and was well beaten but this race is a drop down in class with lesser opposition and should break his duck today. There are a number of unexposed horses running in this race but it would certainly be a suprise to see any of them win and it looks like a contest between Highly Regal and Stevie Thunder. Highly Regal has a couple of placed efforts at this course in C5's and should go well again but I think Stevie Thunder should just have that little bit of quality to beat him and I like Harry Skelton on board who gave Niche Market a nice ride in the Grand National. 1pt win at 2/1.

  6. Re: BBOTD 7th May Haydock 15:40 Barizan Barizan has looked a shadow of his former self this season but apart from hitting the first 2 fences at Cheltenham last time out, he put in the tough race you would expect from this front runner. He was excellent last season winning Grade 1's and beating the likes of Carlito Brigante (Punchestown) and Sanctuaire (Aintree, 2nd to CB) who have gone on to win some good races after. He also placed in some good graded hurdle races. However, he hasn't shown his true self this year which has been really dissapointing but his improved effort at Cheltenham with top weight showed he is capable still and I think with the ground in his favour, he could be worth a each way shot here. He is certainly a capable horse who likes to lead from the front and if given a rather soft lead which probably won't be the case here, he could get away with it. He drops back in trip from his Cheltenham outing and this could hopefully bring a change in fortunes given it's a step down in class here for me as well as having a 5lb claim from the jockey, he is basically running off a mark of 133 his lowest mark since he has raced in handicaps. He has the ability and I'm confident he will show it tomorrow. 0.5 pts e/w at 25/1 skybet.

  7. Re: bbotd 4 may Cheltenham 19:50 MISTER APPLE'S Mister Apple's ran a solid 4th behind Baby Run at Aintree last time out but probably found the ground a bit soft. Here he is running on good to firm, which he has performed on as well as having a good course record at Cheltenham. He has performed whenever he's encountered this trip and I think he faces a less tougher task with the opposition he is facing then in recent runs, so should go well here. 1pt win at 7/4.

  8. Re: BBOTD 3rd May Punchestown 18:40 REVE DE SIVOLA Reve De Sivola ran a couple of fine efforts at Cheltenham and Aintree this year and should run well here. He ran very well at Aintree only finishing less then a couple of lengths behind the eventual winner. He has handled the trip up well and the ground will suit him here as well. He has won on his only outing at Punchestown on good ground, so things are looking in his favour. I think Quito De La Roque will be the one to beat here but alot of things are in Reve De Sivola's favour and he should run well here into at least a place and is looking excellent value at 10/1 with Skybet. 0.5 pts e/w at 10/1 - Skybet.

  10. Re: Best bet of the day 2nd May Kempton 15:00 PALIAS GLIDE Palias Glide was slowly away from the stalls on her last outing at Nottingham but has always been there or thereabouts on her appearences and a chance is taking on her to finally break her duck here at Kempton after placing here on her 4 attempts. Apart from her first outing at Kempton she has never been beat by a huge distance and always been close. She drops back to 5f after her last outing here was at 6f and with Richard Hughes on board, she may just take this and looks good value at 10/3. 1pt win at 10/3 VC.

  11. Re: BBOTD Sunday 1st May Newmarket 4.25 TELL DAD - 1pt win. Tell Dad will improve hugely after his first outing at this course last time out. A very inexperienced run from the colt and I fully believe that this run will bring his first win. He was up against a first time winner in Jack Who's He who had won his first outing at Leicester but performed well enough to show to suggest he will go very well in his next outing. Obviously the Hannon/Hughes partnership is well favoured by most backers including myself, so this only increases my appetite to back Tell Dad. Both Chunky Diamond and Commissar run a decent 5th and 3rd at Newbury a couple of weeks back and both should go well as they ran very decently in a fairly big field but Tell Dad's connections and the fact that he will come on hugely after his first run is the one for me. The RP tissue has him down in the betting forecast as 11/8 but it's pretty guarenteed that he will end up a odds on shot but that doesn't put me off backing him.

  12. Re: Flat Racing; Sunday 1st May

Newmarket 15:15 - 5pts EW Moonlight Cloud @ 5/1 Skybet (4 Places' date= 1/4) Offered 4 places with Skybet at 5/1 and I think she rates an outstanding each-way bet at those odds, can't see her out of the frame. Trained by Freddie Head in France, I think she'll relish this step up to a mile, her re-appearance run in France on April 7th looks a very strong run in a Group 3, beating Helleborine by 2 lengths who is supposedly well thought of. This one couldn't be more thought of, with her trainer saying back in September 2010 that she was "the best two-year-old I have ever trained", she looks to have progressed well given her run LTO so they must be delighted with that. Special Duty won this last season who was also coming over from France, she's the clear pick of the French runners and I think she'll be too good for our lot.
RP app are offering money back if she wins, very interesting. I have over £30 e/w on Memory at 12's and 10's, so hoping for her to bring this home as I stand to win over £500 but don't rate her much value at 5's now but nice to see her backed in.
  13. Re: Flat Racing; Saturday 30th April Thirsk 15:00 An interesting one here in FULL PELT, who is very well rated by his trainer. An American bred horse who ran a 5th on his first outing last week at Redcar. I think that outing will help ease him a long and we may see a different prospect here. Dascombe rates him highly who said he will be eased in at first and then will go from there. He says that he will get a few quid for Full Pelt from America if he wins over here and I can't see it being too long. Dascombe had a 2YO called Pyman's Theory who came on today after his first outing and won very well, so his yard could be setting it up to do the same with Full Pelt. He certainly is an interesting e/w bet for me.

  14. Re: BBOTD Saturday 30th April Uttoxeter 17:00 RED JESTER Red Jester hasn't won since November 2009 but has been a consistent sort of late and I wouldn't say his competition in this one is tough for him, he should finally break his duck. Trip, ground and the course won't be a problem. He has a fairly good record at this course and is a C + D winner too. I think he's set up to break the duck tomorrow and I don't think any of his rivals stand out past him, so hopefully he brings this one back.

  15. Re: BBOTD Friday 29th April BANGOR 18:15 TROOPER CLARENCE Trooper Clarence is a consistent type who is the stand out horse in this poor race and if settles then he should win. He is carrying top weight but he ran off a mark of 110 in Wincanton in June and came 2nd, so it won't be a problem I feel. He has the stand out form in chasing out of all the 4 horses and I really like the Williams/Moloney partnership, which is a massive plus here. He also steps up a couple of extra furlongs or so in trip here and he came on late on his last run after looking outpaced till late on, so it seem this will probably help him. Deputy Dog is a interesting one to view but it's his first chase run, so one to watch but Trooper Clarence is the one to follow here:hope

  16. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 27th April AYR 4:30 BOGSIDE. Bogside ran 10 days ago and was absolutely outclassed by an immense ride and a lovely horse in Russian War and Paul Carberry. However, he drops down in grade here and has more of a chance. He also drops back in trip and is suited to a 2 miler which he is running at here. He probably wants softer ground but I will take a chance on him here at good ground although he seems to pull hard on good ground early on but ignoring that aside, it isn't a race that stands out with a clear fave for me and with Bogside running on a mark of 118 which he ran and won at Kelso back at the start of the month. Question marks about all of these runners as Toshi's form figures don't inspire and his last win was back in August 2009, although runs off a better mark here after a better performance LTO. Plan A looks too high in the weights for me and Jewelled Dagger having not ran since September. Tout Regulier could be worth a chance after performing on G-F and probably needed the run LTO but Bogside has a very decent opportunity here and even with question marks over the ground, I will take a chance.

  17. Re: Flat Racing: Wednesday 27th April ASCOT 4:15 LIBRANNO Libranno was 2nd to Native Khan in the Craven Stakes LTO and drops back in trip here. Gives weight all round but that run a couple of weeks back will improve Libranno here and I always prefer a run before backing it and you can't ask for much more then being 2nd to Native Khan in his first appereance of the new season. Gives nearly a stone to Margot Did who I fear but the run for Libranno will help and will go well here.

  18. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 26th April Exeter 14:50 Piment D'Estruval Drops back in trip after having a go at 2m 4f at Stratford last time out, it was probably a bit too far for him as he faded late on after leading and this drop in trip should help him. He won off a mark of 94 at Fontwell in March and only received a 3lb rise which he runs off again, so looks a fair mark to be running off here. Richard Johnson is on board and Tim Vaughan is in fairly decent form too.

  19. Re: bbotd monday Redcar 14:00: CARRIES MAGIC. Carries Magic drops down in trip here but after making her first appereance since July she came 3rd in a 15 runner field at Thirsk LTO. Runs off the same mark yet carrying top weight against her own sex but shouldn't be a problem. I think she has a great chance and will go well here. Consistent sort who has a good record at Redcar (won here as well as finished 3rd). She hasn't really performed at 5f before but I think the trainer wouldn't drop her back if they didn't think she had a chance. I think she'll prove good value with the RP tissue having her down as a 11/4 chance.
