15th Feb - Southwell 1.50 - Convince: 1pt win Has course form and ran well enough lto to suggest could have a chance. 2.50 - Army of Stars: 1pt win Has good Southwell form and if in the mood should have a great chance. 3.20 - Trans Sonic: 1pt win Last four runs here reads 3,4,3,1 and no reason why he won't be up there again SDS booked as well another plus. 4.20 - Ace Master: 1pt win Been placed third last three starts probably needs a step up on recent runs to win here but still in the frame I think.
Much like yesterday really only the one winner but the ones who didn't win ran fairly well. Could be better though... Convince :( 4th (of 13) -1 point Was driven along as soon as he left the stalls but credit to Probert who kept pushing away and ended up finishing pretty well and just got nabbed for 3rd by a short head (annoying as I backed him e/w at 10/1) Army Of Stars :( 3rd (of 7) -1 point Was no much for El Dececy. Trans Sonic :( 3rd (of 7) -1 point Thought SDS probably went off too quick and was never going to last home just got pipped for 2nd. Ace Master :D 1st 3/1 (of 7) +3 points Came well clear in the end to take the win. Todays Points Staked = 4 Todays Points Returned = 4 Todays Profit/Loss = 0 Bank Total = 99 Total Points Staked = 8 Total Points Returned = 7 Total Points Profit/Loss = -1 -------------------------- Total Selections = 8 Winners = 2 Placed = 0 Unplaced = 6

14th Feb - Wolverhampton 2.10 - Cheveyo: 1pt win, Might need a bit of luck from a poor draw but consistant horse and a player if things drop right. 2.40 - Frequency: 1pt win Going for hat trick today only up 2lbs for last win and if in the same mood should go well. 3.10 - Norse Dame: 1pt win Form isn't the most inspiring but some earlier form in mid 2010 gives some hope, this looks a weak maiden and has a chance. 5.10 - Lexi's Boy: 1pt win Won well enough lto stepped up to this trip should go well again.
Ah the day you post up the system gets off to a stinker :lol well the first three did anyway... Cheveyo :( 8th (of 11) -1 point Wasn't able to overcome the poor draw & was always well off the pace. Frequency :( 5th (of 8) -1 point Most dissapointing got a bit short of room but ultimately ran well below best finishing 5th of 8. Norse Dame :( 4th (of 6) -1 point Led for most but was no where near the eventual winner Sweet Origin who hacked up. Lexi's Boy :D 1st 2/1 (of 7) +2 points Made sure it wasn't a total disaster today hanging on well to win at 2/1 under Makin. Todays Points Staked = 4 Todays Points Returned = 3 Todays Profit/Loss = -1 Bank Total = 99 Total Points Staked = 4 Total Points Returned = 3 Total Points Profit/Loss = -1 -------------------------- Total Selections = 4 Winners = 1 Placed = 0 Unplaced = 3

  5. Hey all just thought Id share my selection system with you my selections cover UK flat races inc AW. The selections are mainly based on stats, ratings, form a few factors really. To keep things simple I will start with 100 pts bank & stake 1pt win per selection, returns will be based on industry SP's. I normally use the system to pick one horse for each race but for the sake of this thread I'll put up 4 selections per meeting so theres not too many selections (max of 2 meetings per day). Ive been using this system for about 6 months and been happy with the results so thought Id post on here and see how it goes :)

  6. Re: *NEW* - Eyecatchers thread - horses to follow/avoid Horses Name: Ivestar Date(s) you noticed the horse: 31/1/11 Ideal Trip: 6F/7F Follow/Avoid (for how long): Follow next time Reasoning: Bit of a spec one this but I backed this horse last time it ran at around 25-1 as I was waiting for it to be sent out over 6f as previous try at that trip in Jun 2010 at Hamilton produced a win at 40-1. Since that win he had been running mostly over a mile with little success. The horse raced at Wolves on 31st Jan and after breaking slowly (prone to do so) the jock was sitting pretty on him and rather easily moved into mid pack was given one hit and ran on well in the closing stages to grab third on the line. I just thought the way he travelled and stayed on nicely he could be worth another go next time out over the 6 or possibly stepped up to 7f. Will prob go off another biggish price too no known entries for the horse yet though.

  7. Re: What's your max limit when laying horses? I don't have a set limit really on odds but rarely lay anything above 15. when I lay instead I lay to liability so the odds don't really matter. For example if my liability is say £200 I can lay a horse at 3 for £100 or a horse at 10.0 for £22 (£198 liability) so the loss would be the same IF they won. I find it much better laying to liability then just judging it on sp's.
