  1. Re: Tennis: 13th February to 19th February

This Zheng vs Kirilenko is IMO very very dangerous and it can easily come out the other way round. As you metioned, Zheng lost to Hsieh and Kirilenko had really good run in Pattaya, so why should Zheng beat Kirilenko? If anything at all, I would suggest to parlay these two bets for lower stake.
That good ran of russian in Pattaya is just what makes this bet on Zheng more attractive. Kirilenko played a lot of matches there after a long time, 4 of 5 were 3 setters in a heavily conditions in Thailand. Temperatures were over 35 Celsius combined with very high humidity which exhausts body terribly. Zheng is a legitimate favorite here, H2H 5-1 to Zheng is also very significant one... About Youznhny, some people say that his serve in that DC doubles match was pretty bad, serving like 140 kmh so IMHO it would be best to skip this match afterall.
  2. Re: Tennis: 13th February to 19th February I didn't see anyone mentioned here that ATP Sao Paulo in Brasil is played on INDOOR clay. Quite important thing that puts me off a bit of from betting on that venue. Monday matches showed that, two hot favorites, Gil & Montanes, loosing quite heavily... About Youznhy - Kunitsyn match, only thing that makes my bet on Youznhy a bit doubtful is that there were some question marks about his fitness during Davis Cup weekend, something about his sore shoulder and he was actually dropped from first rubber vs Melzer although he allegedy said he was fine & ready. He was picked for doubles match insted, which he won in a 5 setter partnered by Davydenko, so I guess the situation with his shoulder ain't that bad. Every other thing points to his victory here, the form, the quality and his past results here in Rotterdam which are already mentioned.

  3. Re: Tennis: 6th February to 12th February

Whatched the match although ... Kuznetsov vs Reix Challenger Dallas Alex Kuznetsov eliminated Sam Querry in his last match and will come to win against Reix. This one lost a set against Zimbabwe player Takanyi Garanganga and winning after that against Eyseric in 3 sets. Kuznetsov should not have problesm in this one unless I bet on a fix match here. Clear difference bnetween these two, Kuznetsov and Ginepri being the favorites to win this Challenger. Kuznetsov -1.5 sets @ 1.80 with Nordic bet
FFS what a match... Alex was cruising rather easy, easy set & 5-4*, had a MP there at 40-30*, missed and the match turned around... I just can't believe even this journey man Reix knows how he got out of this... Just a fluke... Had Alex@1,4 to close a small combo and this is what I've gone through for almoust 3 hours. Reix even served at *6-5 in third but Alex rebroke just to loose in TB... Just pathetic .:@
  4. Re: Tennis: 6th February to 12th February I wouldn't read too much about Goerges match vs Peer because Peer was nowhere near her best, she was carrying a leg injury from her last match against Baltasha in the Fedcup, she couldn't even walk normally after that match so I was really wondered to see her at Paris. I'm not against a pick on German lady, but lets not take that bashing of Peer for granted... GL

  5. Re: Tennis: 6th February to 12th February Lertcheewakarn vs. Doi Going for the home girl here as it seems she is stepping up her career. She made nice succes on ITF Dubai, which was a warm up for 2012, beating players like Jovanovski, Halep and Mladenovic to win that ITF without loosing a set in whole tournament held on hard court as here in Pattaya. She lost both matches of 2012 season but very tigh vs Rezai and Riske, it was really few points splitting players in those matches. The last time she was in main draw of WTA event was late last year at Osaka where she lost to Stosur, again very tightly, 6-3 3-6 7-5. Very solid indeed and I'm sure she's eager to step a bit higher in her homeland at Pattaya. Her opponent isn't showing anything special, lost both matches in 2012 vs Knapp and Koehler and didn't do anything worh mentioning on hard court over year or so. They've already met in 2010, and Doi won in a 3 setter 6-4 5-7 6-1 but it was on carpet in Doi's Japan and over 2 years ago, so I wouldn't look that as some serious fact for this bet. Lertcheewakarn @1.73 @ Ladbrokes

  6. Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan

Angelique Kerber > Mona Barthel. 1.83 @ Pinnacle (6/10) Normally I wouldn't give more than 1.5 for Kerber in a match like this, so have to go for this one. She saved couple match points against Cirstea and that is always a very good mental boost. For Barthel you have to wonder have far can she go? She will be playing her 6th match this week, that's including qualies.
Kerber needed medical TO in her last match vs Cirstea at the beginning of the 3rd set. Kerber broke for *1-0 in third, then lost 2 next games, and at *1-2 she needed medical help on her hand wrist. After that she looked pretty bad, Cirstea ran to 4-1* and 40-0* ,had chances to make it 5-1 but she eventually lost 5-7, although she was serving for match at *5-3 *40-15 ! All I'm saying is that it's questionable how that wrist of Kerber is feeling, and if we know that her biggest weapon is serve and forehand (due to her very bad movement) this bet turns into a tricky one...
  7. Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan When talking about Stepanek, it has to be said that he was already injured during his last match at Brisbane vs Dolgopolov. He needed physio help on court in the 3rd set due to groin injurie and was evidently not at his best at least (during that 3rd set). And if we add to that last night 2,5 hours long match vs Malisse, where he offered 10 bps to the Belgian, that just leads me to conclusion to, at least, avoid the bets on the Czech player.

  8. Re: Tennis: 31st December -8th January And also a notice to ones who are going to make some bets on ATP quallies in Auckland, the matches are highly likely to take place indoors (like all of the matches yesterday) as it's raining ATM there and the weather forecast is just awful for the rest of the day. edit: In fact, it's official these matches will be played indoors.

  9. Re: Tennis: 31st December -8th January Just one thing to add about Jie Zheng against Pennetta. Due to persistent rain at Auckland there is very high possibility that this match is going to be moved indoors, just like all ATP quallies matches that were played yesterday.

The singles final will be played at 11am at the ASB Tennis Centre on centre court. Tickets for Saturday's session are valid for the single's final. In case of rain, the final will be held on an indoor court at the ASB Tennis Centre (again this is at the players' request)
. If so,its worth to mention that Pennetta has way better indoor record than Zheng, and also Pennetta has played her doubles final yesterday indoors !
  10. Re: Tennis - 14-20 February

Sport Tennis Event Peng v Mattek Sands Selection Peng Strength 10/10 Date 15/02/2011 Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 1.66 Reasoning Peng has been rock solid year year, compiling a 13-4 including qualifying for this tournament. She lost to Mattek Sands earlier in the year in Hobart from 1 set up but that was a weird tournament with many delays. Mattek played well in Paris last week but seemed to struggle with injury in the semi final on Saturday. Tough spot for her here, tough Fed Cup weekend then semis of Paris then the flight and adjustments to Dubai with a possible injury. Easy for her to go out early. Ladbrokes joint top price and pay out on retirements nice.
Also Peng already played 2 matches here in Dubai in qualies, winning vs Henke 6-1 6-0 and K. Bondarenko 5-7 6-4 6-2, while Mattek never even played in Dubai before, in this time of season she often plays indoor events in US so at first sight Peng could be a nice pick.
  11. Re: Tennis - 14-20 February Yvonne Meusburger vs. Alexandra Panova Alexandra Panova @ 1.70 Going on Panova here because she's better suited to conditions then her opponent here in Columbia on clay. Panova played last week an ITF at another city of columbia (Cali) where she reached semis by defeating some solid players on clay like Castano and Mathilde Johansson but lost to Pous Tio (also very solid player) in a 3 setter. And now she meets a player who didn't play a single competitive match since Linz (indoor) last year, and comes strait on clay in Bogota on altitude higher than 8000ft. That's definitely not easy place to play 1st match of season vs player like Panova who had some very nice wins last week on same surface and already tasted some of this tough conditions in Columbia. 5/10

  12. Re: Tennis - 1-9 January Marion Bartoli vs. Vania King - over 19,5 @ 1,85 Head-to-Head matches: 2009 WTA Monterrey (MEX) Hard Marion Bartoli Vania King 2-6 6-2 6-3 2007 WTA Kolkata (IND) I_Hard Vania King Marion Bartoli 6-1 7-5 American King already has 3 matches under her belt here in Brisbane - passed through qualifications, won vs Karatantcheva, Razzano and Riske, only with Razzano in 3 sets. Very solid wins IMO and its always nice to have some more practice on the courts than your opponent and especially on the first tournament of the year. She's against very tricky player today, chubby Marion Bartoli with her really unusual style of play- double handed backhand AND forehand! Its quite uncommon and even harder due to her weight to play that kind of style, because when you are hitting the ball by two handed FH and BH you need to be much more closer to the ball - and that means more running - and that not her best part of game... Anyway I think it could be a bit closer match than the odds suggest, last times these two met was a 3 setter, why not this time also...

  13. Re: Tennis - 1-9 January Adding two more for tonight for a bit smaller stake : Flavio Cipolla @1,60 vs Matteo Viola CH in Noumea, New Caledonia Two italians meet each other but one of them knows Noumea hard courts a bit better and thats Cippola. He won here in 2008, and last year he made it to the finals where he lost to Florian Mayer. He mostly plays on clay but has also some success on hard courts like here in Noumea, 2nd round of Aus open, 3rd at Us open and both with passing qualies there... On the other hand younger Viola plays almost only on clay and almost only in Italy and neighbouring country's... and now he plays on another continent and his less favoured surface ! Last year he was thrashed 2 times out of 3 matches when played on hard, 2set losses vs players on Cipolla's level (6-2 6-0 was one of the them) so I really believe Cipolla got some nice chances to win here, especially since he knows the conditions very well her in Caledonia and has way much more matches on hard court than his opponent today.

  14. Re: Tennis - 1-9 January Thanks guys, hope the results will deliver the goods ! anyway I forgot to mention that the odds are from my local online bookie. And about the Giraldo, probably he prefers quicker surfaces due to his nice serve he has, I just pointed the he spent a bit more time on "dust" in the past...

  15. Re: Tennis - 1-9 January Hi to all firstly, Shahar Peer (-4,5) x Andrea Petkovic x Gilles Simon - @2,73 Shahar Peer is facing wild card australian Ferguson whom I really doubt could make it through quallies if she wasn't given WC here. She is way of Peer's level and not used to play on this level of WTA tour, in fact her last hard court win on this level was way back in 2007 and tells all and I doubt she has any power to trouble israeli Peer here. Peer opened last season very well with 1/2 final in auckland and final in hobart, so she knows to deal with conditios here down under. She had very nice hard court season in 2010 with w/l 32-14 and 2 sets wins over names like wozniacki, ivanovic and penetta while she was very classy in matchups with low caliber players like ferguson here. I really expect thrashing from Peer here , -5,5 games should be covered also. Andrea Petkovic really did well here in Brisbane last year by reaching 1/2 finals so she will keep in mind she has some points to defend. She is overall player who can perform well on different surfaces and she showed that in 2010 with some nice results, with some nice serve and especially forehand shot. Her opponent is Romanian Alexandra Dulgheru who had solid last season but whats important to note - on clay. On harder surfaces her w/l score is way lower than on clay and I think she won't make some success here on australian hard court season. They never met each other but I rate Petkovic as better player on this surface, played quite well in 2010 here in Brisbane, while her opponent didn't win any single match on aussie tour in same time so I think Petkovic should win here, even in 3 sets if needed. Gilles Simon meets Giraldo here, Simon has quite unusual style of play, very defensive which usually means - boring, but against that kind of player you really need to work hard for every single point and that knows to be painful for some unbalanced players. He's up against columbian Giraldo here, he can play on most surfaces, clay mostly but not with some success on ATP level, win here and there but not against top player on hard court surely. I belive Simon is on the way to continue some nice form he had on last quarter of last season (indoor), he skipped this aussie part of last season due to injury and there are lot of points to grab in his situation and he 's up against a player he beat last year on hard court like today, scoreline was Gilles Simon - Santiago Giraldo 6-1 6-2 (Sunrise challenger in USA) GL to all.
