  2. Re: England > Barclays Premier League > 2-4 January Fulham vs Arsenal Pick: Away win Probable starting eleven: Fulham: Stockdale, Kelly, Hangeland, Senderos, Riise, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey, Ruiz, Dembele, Orlando Sa Arsenal: Szczesny, Djourou, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Ramsey, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Van Persie, Gervinho Arsenal started the season very bad, but they are better and better as the time goes. At the moment Arsenal is in excellent series of seven victories in the last ten games. They suffered only one defeat, from Manchester City. It seems Arsen Wenger compose good team and we must count on Arsenal, even they are 9 points behind two Manchester teams at the moment. I think Arsenal is able to win here. They have an impressive score on the last 5 away matches, winning 4 of them: 21.12. Aston Villa - Arsenal 1:2 18.12. Manchester City - Arsenal 1:0 03.12. Wigan - Arsenal 0:4 19.11. Norwich - Arsenal 1:2 29.10. Chelsea - Arsenal 3:5 Fulham on other side is not a bad team, but they suffered a heavy defeat on the last home match. Fulham lost 0:5 from Manchester United on 21.12. For this match Martin Jol will be missing Bobby Zamora due to a calf injury. I think Arsenal will win at Craven Cottage. The quality is on their side, plus Wenger has much longer bench. It is important in Christmas and New Year period, when the schedule is very busy. Robin Van Persie is in great form, the return of former striker Thierry Henry is a big morale boost, so I think Arsenal is able to win this derby.

  3. Re: England > Barclays Premier League > 2-4 January Blackburn vs Stoke Pick: Home win Blackburn is maybe the hottest team in the Premier league at the moment. I am sure even the manager Steve Kean was ready to sign two defeats from Liverpool and Manchester United in the last two rounds. Specially because both games were away from home. But some kind of miracle happened and Blackburn played 1:1 against Liverpool and then won 3:2 in dramatic match at Old Trafford. Now the situation is completely different, the atmosphere in the squad is excellent and the players confidence is very high. Gael Givet has recovered and he is in contention for this game, just as Junior Hoilett, David Dunn and Martin Olsson. So, I think it is wise to back Blackburn on this match. Stoke on other side is a home team. Their form isn't perfect at the moment as they are without a victory in the last three rounds: 31.12. Stoke - Wigan 2:2 26.12. Stoke - Aston Villa 0:0 21.12. Manchester City - Stoke 3:0 Stoke will be missing right-back Andy Wilkinson. Considering all previous mentioned facts, I think Blackburn is able to continue with the good results. I expect home victory at Ewood Park.

  4. Re: Serbia Super Liga 2011/12 Crvena Zvezda vs Vojvodina Pick: Draw I think Vojvodina is able to stay unbeaten in Belgrade. There are four reasons for my pick. First of all, Crvena Zvezda is in big problems. They lost the big derby against Partizan two weeks ago and it seems the title is gone. Partizan have 7 points advantage and it is too big considering we are speaking about Serbia. Crvena Zvezda is in big crisis at the moment, the fans are asking for Dragan Dzajic's return (he already announced he is ready) and the whole atmosphere in the squad is bad. The second reason is connect with Vojvodina. They are in excellent run of three consecutive victories. The players confidence is surely very high at the moment. Look the results: 03.12. Vojvodina - Borac 3:1 26.11. Borca - Vojvodina 0:4 19.11. Vojvodina - Smederevo 2:0 The third reason is connect with the absences. While Vojvodina is complete and coach Vukicevic has all players available, Crvena Zvezda will definitely miss the best player Kadu due to injury. Plus, the coach Robert Prosinecki can't count on defender Vilotic anymore. The last reason for my pick is connect with the fact that Crvena Zvezda will have no fans support. This match will be played on empty Marakana.

  5. Re: Italy - Serie B - 9-11 December Sassuolo vs Livorno Pick: Away win I think Livorno is closer to the victory on Stadio Alberto Braglia in Modena. Both teams are incomplete for this match, but I think Sassuolo handicap is bigger. Sassuolo will be without important defender Lino Marzoratti (played 13 matches) who is suspended, while three more players are injured - the key midfielder Gianluca Sansone (played 17 matches and also scored 6 goals which makes him best scorer together with Boakye), another key defender Alessandro Longhi (played 17 matches) and important midfielder Carl Valeri (played 10 matches). It is clear the coach Fulvio Pea will have lot of problems for this match. Even more as Sassuolo home for isn't too impressive in the last period. They have two draws and one defeat in last three rounds, scoring just one goal (Marchi has scored that lucky goal in the last minute of the game against Brescia) on the mentioned games: 26.11. Sassuolo - Padova 0:1 19.11. Sassuolo - Brescia 1:1 05.11. Sassuolo - Torino 0:0 It is true that Livorno coach Walter Novellino also has some missing players (Knezevic and Schiattarella are suspended), but I believe he will find adequate replacements. Novellino is an excellent coach, he has Serie A experience leading Sampdoria in the past. He will base his tactic on strong defense and fast counterattacks. I don't think Sassuolo will score here. And I think Livorno will win, just as two seasons earlier, on 16.05.2009.

  6. Re: England > Barclays Premier League > 3-5 December Fulham vs Liverpool Pick: 2 Probable starting eleven: Fulham: Schwarzer, Baird, Senderos, Hangeland, Riise, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey, Ruiz, Zamora, Dembele Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Henderson, Adam, Spearing, Downing, Suarez, Carroll Liverpool away form is excellent. They have three consecutive victories in Premier League. The opponents were not naive. Just look the results: 20.11. Chelsea - Liverpool 1:2 29.10. West Brom - Liverpool 0:2 01.10. Everton - Liverpool 0:2 Even more, Liverpool is doing great job in Carling cup too. And they have also three consecutive victories on road. The last one was again at Stamford Bridge. That is why I am thinking Liverpool will win at Craven Cottage tonight. Both teams are not complete for this encounter. Kenny Dalglish will miss injured Lucas Leiva, whiloe Martin Jol has two injured players - Stephen Kelly and Damien Duff. They will probably be replaced by Chris Baird and Brian Ruiz. I think the quality is on Liverpool side. They are better team at the moment and they are closer to the victory here. The players confidence is surely high after the last two victories at Stamford Bridge and I am expecting Liverpool to win.

  7. Re: Macedonia First Division 2011/12 Ohrid vs Shkendija Pick: X Shkendija is the actual champion in Macedonia, but they are not playing on the same level this season. They are already 11 points behind first placed Vardar and it seems they can't defend the trophy. Speaking about this match, I think Ohrid is able to stay unbeaten here. First of all, they are playing at home. It is an important advantage here in Macedonia. But the second reason is even more important. Shkendija will be missing some important players. Coach Nedzat Sabani will be without the key defender Berisha due to injury, while Miskovski is suspended. Two more players are injured - Useini and Sali. In situation like this I think Shkendija can't win in Ohrid. And I also think both coaches will be satisfied with one point.

  8. Re: France - Ligue 1 - 2-4 December 21:00. O. Lyon vs Toulouse Pick: Toulouse Probable starting eleven: O. Lyon: Lloris, Reveilliere, Kone, Cris, Cissokho, Fofana, Kallstrom, Briand, Ederson, Lacazette, Lisandro Lopez Toulouse: Ahamada, Akpa-Akpro, Congre, Abdennour, M'Bengue, Capoue, Machado, Braaten, Sissoko, Tabanou, Bulut I think it is possible a small surprise at Stade Gerland. Toulouse is in great form and they have just one defeat in the last 6 games. Coach Alain Casanova is doing an excellent job. Even more, Toulose defense is wonderful, they have kept the clean sheet in 5 of the mentioned 6 games, receiving just 2 goals from Auxerre. Just look the results: 26.11. Toulouse - Valenciennes 2:0 18.11. Toulouse - Lille 0:0 06.11. Auxerre - Toulouse 2:0 30.10. Toulouse - Rennes 1:0 22.10. Lorient - Toulouse 0:0 15.10. Toulouse - Marseille 0:0 On other side Lyon is not impressive this season. At the moment they are 10 points behind first placed Montpellier and it is a psychological problem for the players. Remy Vercoutre and Yannis Tafer are both sidelined. Even bigger problem is the fact that lot of key players were injured in the previous period (Lisandro Lopez, Ederson, Yoann Gourcuff, Clement Grenier and Maxime Gonalons) and they are still not 100 percent ready. Finally, the most important reason for my pick is the following Champions League match between Lyon and Dinamo Zagreb. Lyon needs a big victory against Dinamo (and of course Real Madrid's victory against Ajax) in order to reach the knock out stage. Considering all previous mentioned facts, I think Toulouse will upset Lyon at Gerland.

  9. Re: Italy - Serie A - 2-5 December Genoa vs Milan Pick: Draw Probable starting eleven: Genoa: Frey,Dainelli, Kaladze, Moretti, Mesto, Merkel, Veloso, Constant, Rossi, Caracciolo, Jankovic Milan: Amelia, Abate, Bonera, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Aquilani, Ambrosini, Nocerino, Boateng, Robinho, Ibrahimovic The most interesting match in Serie A this weekend. Milan is big favorite, but I think Genoa is able to stay unbeaten. Genoa is very solid at home, they have three victories and one draw in the last four home matches. Here are the results: 20.11. Genoa - Novara 1:0 26.10. Genoa - Roma 2:1 02.10. Parma - Genoa 3:1 21.09. Genoa - Catania 3:0 Even more, Genoa have very good mutual score with Milan at Luigi Ferraris. Genoa have two victories and one draw in the last three: 06.02.2011. Genoa - Milan 1:1 09.05.2010. Genoa - Milan 1:0 14.09.2008. Genoa - Milan 2:0 Both teams have some missing players. Genoa will be without suspended Rodrigo Palacio and injured Cesare Bovo, Luca Antonelli and Ze Eduardo. On other side Milan will be missing the key defender Alessandro Nesta due to injury and most probably the first goalkeeper Christian Abbiati. Once again, I think Milan will not have an easy job in Genoa. And I believe Genoa can stay unbeaten.

  10. Re: Macedonia First Division 2011/12 Bregalnica vs Horizont Turnovo Pick: 1 (a.h. -2.5) Macedonian cup, quarterfinal In the first match Horizont Turnovo won 3:1. Now they have a big advantage, but nothing is finished yet. I am sure Bregalnica will try to eliminate the opponent. The atmosphere in the club is very good, players confidence is high after the last success in the championship and coach Bojan Zahariev will try to use the moment. Bregalnica have won three consecutive matches in the league, against Napredok Kicevo, Rabotnicki and 11. Oktomvri. The team is almost complete, only Ivanovic is out due to suspension. On other side Horizont Turnovo is in deep problems with injuries. Coach Gjorgji Todorovski will be missing both strikers as Dragan Georgiev and Sasko Pandev are out injured. But that's not all. The experienced Pance Stojanov is also sidelined, while defender Tomce Iliev is on international duty. In situation like this I think Bregalnica have a big chance to win. Since they need a three goals victory (or exactly 2:0), I will try home win in handicap. The home fans will give a big support to their players and it is an important advantage.

  11. Re: Spain - La Liga - 5-6 November Getafe vs Atletico Madrid Pick: Getafe Probable starting eleven: Getafe: Moya, Valera, Diaz, Lopo, Torres, Perez, Lacen, Rios, Abdel, Castro, Guiza Atletico Madrid: Courtois, Perea, Miranda, Dominguez, Filipe Luis, Adrian, Tiago, Gabi, Diego, Turan, Falcao I think the hosts will win here, even the bookmakers are favoring Atletico Madrid. First of all, Getafe is not bad at home. They are unbeaten in the last three home matches, with one victory and two draws. Here are the results: 26.10. Getafe - Osasuna 2:2 15.10. Getafe - Villarreal 0:0 26.09. Getafe - Betis 1:0 Now one question - do You know which team is the worst visitor in Primera this season? Well, it is hard to believe, but it is Atletico Madrid. Just look the results: 27.10. Ath. Bilbao - Atl. Madrid 3:0 15.10. Granada - Atl. Madrid 0:0 24.09. Barcelona - Atl. Madrid 5:0 10.09. Valencia - Atl. Madrid 1:0 Both teams are not complete for this match. Getafe will be missing Ruben Perez due to suspension, while Jamie Gavilan, Tsepo Masiela and Pedro Leon are injured. On other side Atletico Madrid coach Gregorio Manzano will be without Mario Suarez through suspension, while Jose Antonio Reyes and Diego Costa are out injured. Finally, Getafe have a positive record against Atletico Madrid at home in the last two seasons. They played 1:1 draw on 02.03.2011, while Getafe won 1:0 the season before, on 24.01.2010. I think Getafe will use the fact that Atletico Madrid players are little tired as they have a match with Udinese in Europe League on Thursday.

  12. 17:00. Partizan - Cibona 1 (a.h. -10.5) Partizan is absolute favorite on this match and it is clear they will win. The question is if Partizan is able to cover the handicap. I know it is always tricky to play handicap, specially in basketball, but I think Partizan will cover the handicap. There is a great rivalry between Partizan and Cibona. There are no such rivalry between any other Serbian and Croatian team like between Partizan and Cibona. That is why I believe Partizan players will give the maximum, even when the victory is secured. It is expected the full "Pionir" and that's big boost for the home players. On Thursday Partizan finally won in Euroleague. That was their first victory, after two defeats from Efes and Maccabi. Partizan won 91:81 (22:17, 30:27, 21:26, 18:11) against Spirou Basket from Belgium. The best player was Law with 26 points, while Pekovic has scored 21, Macvan 15 and Milosavljevic 14. I am sure this victory will increase the players confidence, just as the atmosphere in the squad. Coach Vladimir Jovanovic was very satisfied and he said the players must show consistency. With other words, Partizan must win against Cibona here. Cibona is not bad this season, but I don't trust them too much. They failed to qualify for Euroleague and they are class below Partizan. Coach Josip Vrankovic will surely try to get the maximum from his players, but it will be extremely difficult. The tradition is also on Partizan side with 14 victories in Adriatic League, while Cibona have only 7. So, I expect Partizan to win with more then 11 points difference.

  13. Re: Macedonia First Division 2011/12 Rabotnicki vs Vardar Pick: Vardar I think Vardar is the favorite on this city derby. Vardar is the best team in Macedonia at the moment, they are the leaders on the table with 5 points advantage to second placed Metalurg. By the way, Vardar have massive 15 points more then Rabotnicki. Vardar have 9 wins and 3 draws after the first 12 rounds. But that's not the only reason for my pick. It is important to be mentioned that Vardar will have the fans support on this match. Both teams are from Skopje, but Rabotnicki have no fans. So, 95 percent of the fans at Stadium "Boris Trajkovski" will be for Vardar. And the last reason is maybe the most important. While Vardar is almost complete (only long term injured Igor Stojakovic is out), Rabotnicki will be without suspended Dusan Savic. Two more players are injured and they are rated as highly doubtful. Both of them are very important, the captain Borce Manevski and the key defender Pance Kumbev. In situation like this I am expecting Vardar to win.

  14. Siofok vs Ferenzvaros Pick: 1 Both teams are close to the bottom of the table. Still, Siofok is little better as they have 13 points, while Ferenzvaros only 11. That is why I believe Siofok will win here. They have the home advantage and it is very important in games like this. Coach Istvan Mihalecz will surely ask the maximum from his players. They are unbeaten in the last two games. It is interesting that the defender Janosz Szabo is the best scorer so far with two goals, but I am expecting this to be changed today. I expect the striker Haraszti to lead the attack, while his partner will probably be Bozovic, Rebryk or Gado. Ferenzvaros is in good series, but still they are poor on road. Ferenzvaros have five defeats in seven games on road and it is clear they have a problem playing away from home. Siofok also have a good record against Ferenzvaros in the last period. In the previous season they have met twice. In the championship Siofok and Ferenzvaros played 1:1 draw (09.04.2011), while Siofok won 3:1 in the cup competition (10.11.2010). I expect another victory for Siofok today.

  15. Re: Norwegian Tippeligaen 2011 Rosenboeg vs Brann Pick:Draw Both teams are almost complete for this match. Rosenborg will be missing only long term injured Boti Goa and Michael Kleppe Jamtfall. On other side Brann is without injured Christian Kalvenes, while Kristoffer Barmen is doubtful. Rosenborg won 2:0 against Frederikstad at Wednesday. That victory will surely boost the players confidence as they had one draw and one defeat in the previous two rounds. Brann also won in the last round, 1:0 against Sarpsborg. So, I expect an interesting match here. The history showed this matches very unpredictable. Brann won the first game this season, while Rosenborg won both matches last season. Interesting, there were four draws in a row before that. Here are the results: Norwegian 1st Eliteserien 2011 20.03.2011. Brann - Rosenborg 2:1 Norwegian 1st Eliteserien 2010 19.09.2010. Brann - Rosenborg 2:3 14.04.2010. Rosenborg - Brann 3:0 Norwegian 1st Eliteserien 2009 01.11.2009. Brann - Rosenborg 1:1 05.04.2009. Rosenborg - Brann 1:1 Norwegian 1st Eliteserien 2008 24.08.2008. Brann - Rosenborg 0:0 04.06.2008. Rosenborg - Brann 1:1 Rosenborg is favorite here, but they are very inconsistent the whole season. If Molde win against Stromgodset (this match is two hours earlier), then Rosenborg will definitely lost the title. I am sure that will happen and I think Rosenborg players will be disappointed by that fact. In situation like that Brann is able to stay unbeaten here.

  16. Re: England » Barclays Premier League » Oct 29-31 WBA vs Liverpool Pick: Draw Probable starting eleven: WBA: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Scharner, Mulumbu, Thomas, Odemwingie, Tchoyi Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Enrique, Downing, Gerrard, Adam, Bellamy, Kuyt, Suarez WBA manager Roy Hodgson will be without the striker Shane Long who suffered injury against Aston Villa. On other side Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has all main players available. I know that Liverpool is favorite, but I must say Liverpool is very inconsistent this season. They failed to win some easy games at home. What is even more frustrated, Liverpool had a lead against Sunderland (the final score was 1:1), Manchester United (the final score was 1:1) and Norwich (again 1:1). By the way, all those games were at home. On other side Liverpool have two victories on road, but the opponents (Arsenal and Everton) were in inferior position as they had a player sent off. The remain two games (Stoke and Tottenham) were lost. The memories from the last visit (02.04.2011) at The Hawthorns are not good. Liverpool lost that match with 1:2. Considering all previous mentioned facts, I think the draw is very possible option on this match. Specially because Dalglish played with the best players against Stoke at Wednesday in Carling Cup. I think Luis Suarez will be little tired as he played all previous matches. And I dare to say Suarez is the key player at the moment. So, I think Liverpool can't win here.

  17. Re: England » Barclays Premier League » Oct 29-31 Chelsea vs Arsenal Pick: 2 (AH +0.5) Probable starting eleven: Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Terry, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Meireles, Mata, Torres, Sturridge Arsenal: Szczesny, Djourou, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Santos, Arteta, Song, Ramsey, Gervinho, Van Persie, Walcott I think Arsenal is able to stay unbeaten at Stamford Bridge. They started the season awful way, they were trashed 8:2 from Manchester United, but after that Wenger find a way to rebuild the players confidence. At the moment Arsenal is in fantastic run of four victories in a row. Here are the results: Oct 25, 2011 Arsenal - Bolton 2:1 - Carling CUP Oct 23, 2011 Arsenal - Stoke 3:1 Oct 19, 2011 Marseille - Arsenal 0:1 - Champions League Oct 16, 2011 Arsenal - Sunderland 2:1 For this match Chelsea will be without Didier Drogba due to suspension. I think that is a handicap for the manager Andre Villas-Boas, even he has good strikers. On other side Wenger has no new injury or suspension problems. Even more, Thomas Vermaelen is back in the squad. In the previous round Chelsea lost 1:0 from QPR. It is true Chelsea had two players sent off, but it is also true the defeat had a negative impact to the players and to the manager Andre Villas-Boas. He criticized the referees after the game and could be even banned from FA. I think that Arsenal good run could be crucial for this derby. The players confidence is high, the atmosphere in the squad is excellent and I think Arsenal is able to stay unbeaten at Stamford Bridge today.

  18. Re: England » Barclays Premier League » Oct 29-31 Everton vs Man. Utd Pick: Home win Probable starting eleven: Everton: Howard, Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Rodwell, Fellaini, Coleman, Cahill, Bilyaletdinov, Saha Manchester United: De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Fletcher, Carrick, Young, Rooney, Hernandez Both teams are almost complete for this match. Everton manager David Moyes will miss only Royston Drenthe due to suspension, while sir Alex Ferguson has all players available. That is why I am expecting an interesting match at Goodison Park. I will start with the fact that Manchester United is without a victory at Goodison Park in the previous three matches. Last season they played very interesting match and the final score was 3:3. Manchester was leading 3:1 after the regular 90 minutes. When everybody thought that United will win, a miracle happened and Everton managed to score two goals during the injury time. Everton had even a chance for the victory, but the referee stopped one very dangerous counterattack and whistled the end of the match. There were big protests from Moyes, he was even banned later, but the final score remain 3:3. The season before, in 2009/10, Everton won 3:1 (on 20.02.2010). It is clear Manchester have many problems on this visit. However, the main reason for my pick is the fact that Manchester United suffered a heavy defeat from Manchester City last weekend. As You probably know, City won 6:1 on Sunday and that defeat is very painful. I am sure the players confidence is broken at the moment. Sir Alex Ferguson will probably try to improve the atmosphere in the squad, but it is clear it won't be easy. This match comes too early and I think Everton is closer to the victory. Specially because they won 3:1 against Fulham last weekend.

  19. Re: Italy - Serie A - 25-27 October Palermo vs Lecce Pick: Over 3.5 goals Probable starting eleven: Palermo: Tzorvas; Pisano, Silvestre, Migliaccio, Balzaretti; Acquah, Barreto, Della Rocca; Zahavi; Hernandez, Pinilla Lecce: Benassi; Oddo, Tomovic, Esposito, Mesbah; Obodo, Strasser, Giacomazzi; Cuadrado, Grossmuller; Corvia I expect goals at Renzo Barbera. Both teams are able to play efficient matches and they proved that. Even more, Palermo have Fabrizio Miccoli back to the squad and it is an important reason for my pick. Palermo played efficient matches at home and two of the three matches ended with Over 3.5 goals. Here are the home results of Palermo: 02.10. Palermo - Siena 2:0 21.09. Palermo - Cagliari 3:2 11.09. Palermo - Inter 4:3 On other side Lecce played an incredible match against Milan at Sunday. Lecce was leading 3:0 after the first half with the goals scored by Guillermo Giacomazzi, Massimo Oddo and Carlos Grossmuller. It is clear that the players confidence is very high, even Lecce lost that match. I expect Lecce to score here. For this match Lecce will be without injured Julio Sergio, David Di Michele, Stefano Ferrario and Souleymane Diamoutene. The tradition also support my pick as three of the last four matches at Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo have ended with Over 3.5 goals. Here are the results: 26.09.2010. Palermo - Lecce 2:2 15.03.2009. Palermo - Lecce 5:2 26.10.2005. Palermo - Lecce 3:0 20.02.2005. Palermo - Lecce 3:2 I expect another high scoring match.

  20. Re: England: Carling Cup Oct 25-26 Stoke vs Liverpool Pick: Draw Liverpool have suffered two defeats so far and one of them was exactly from Stoke at Britannia Stadium on 10.09.2011. It is true Liverpool have better mutual record (Liverpool have won 62 and Stoke 28 of the 123 previous matches between these clubs), but it is also true that Liverpool have many problems in the last period when they visited Stoke. Just look the last four matches at Britannia: 10.09.2011. Stoke - Liverpool 1:0 13.11.2010. Stoke - Liverpool 2:0 16.01.2010. Stoke - Liverpool 1:1 10.01.2009. Stoke - Liverpool 0:0 As You can see Liverpool have two defeats and two draws. Stoke is strong at home, even top teams like Manchester United and Chelsea failed to win this season in Premier League. And Stoke managed to eliminate Tottenham in the previous round of Carling Cup. Both teams are almost complete, Stoke only have two doubtful players - Jermaine Pennant and Jonathan Woodgate. Kenny Dalglish has no injury worries, even Daniel Agger is ready. I think this match will end with a draw. Stoke is host, I already wrote they are very strong at home. On other side Liverpool have longer bench, I am sure it is very important here. Both managers will make some rotations and I think Liverpool have better reserves. In situation like this I don't see a clear favorite.

  21. Re: Italy - Serie A - 25-27 October Milan vs Parma Pick: Under 2.5 goals Probable starting eleven: Milan: Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Bonera, Antonini; Nocerino, Van Bommel, Aquilani; Boateng; Ibrahimovic, Robinho Parma: Mirante; Zaccardo, Paletta, A.Lucarelli, Gobbi; Valiani, Morrone, Jadid, Modesto; Giovinco; Pelle It is strange to suggest Under 2.5 goals on Milan's game, specially after 4:3 victory over Lecce at Sunday. But I don't think such efficient match could be repeated. Imagine, just imagine how many goals would Milan score if Lecce won't score 3 goals in the first half. I think Milan would score one or two goals. Anyway, I expect a completely different match here. Parma will most probably play 'catenaccio' at San Siro. The next reason for my pick is that Milan have some problems with the injuries. Milan coach Alegri will be without Alexandre Pato and Thiago Silva as both are injured. Mathieu Flamini and Gennaro Gattuso are long term injuries, while Clarence Seedorf should return in the squad. On contrary, Parma coach Franco Colomba has all players available as Hernan Crespo will most likely return to the squad. The final reason for my pick is the tradition. It is almost unbelievable, but 7 of the last 8 mutual games ended with Under 2.5 goals. Here are the results: 12.02.2011. AC Milan - Parma 4:0 02.10.2010. Parma - AC Milan 0:1 24.03.2010. Parma - AC Milan 1:0 31.10.2009. AC Milan - Parma 2:0 16.02.2008. Parma - AC Milan 0:0 22.09.2007. AC Milan - Parma 1:1 28.01.2007. AC Milan - Parma 1:0 17.09.2006. Parma - AC Milan 0:2 I believe this is gonna be one more low scoring match between Milan and Parma.

  22. Re: Slovenia PrvaLiga 2011/2012 Koper vs Nafta Pick: Koper Both teams are close to the relegation zone. Nafta have two points more at the moment, but it is clear both teams will have a hard time to survive. On this match I think Koper is closer to the victory. First of all, they are playing at home and it is an important advantage. Koper home form isn't something special, but it is worth to be mentioned that koper won against Domzale in the last match at home with 2:1. The goals were scored by Milan Osterc and Adnan Aganovic. However, something else is the main reason for my pick. It is Nafta last match. In the previous round Nafta lost 0:2 from Celje and it is a negative moment. But on that match three players were sent off: Adrian Kocsis, Stjepan Caban and David Å eruga. They are all injured and coach Stjepan Preradovič will be in deep problems. Maybe the Kocsis abcence is not a crucial, but Caban (played 11 games and scored 1 goal) and Å eruga (played 14 games and also scored 1 goal) absences surely are. The first one is key defender, while the second is key midfielder. At the end I will mention that Koper won the last mutual match at home. On 09.04.2011 Koper won 4:1 against Nafta and I expect they will win once again.

  23. Re: Norway Lower Leagues 2011 Strommen vs Alta Pick: Home win Norway first division Both teams are fighting against relegation. Three teams are definitelly relegated (Nybergsund, Randaberg and Lov-Ham), it is a question about the last one. Strommen is in very difficult position, they are three points behind the safe zone, but Strommen have a good schedule. Now they are playing at home against Alta, while in the last round travel to already relegated Nybergsund. With six points from the remaining two matches I believe they will secure the status. I believe Strommen is closer to the victory here as they are playing at home. The home advantage is very important in matches like this, when both teams are close with the quality. On other side Alta is nothing special. They failed to win even against already relegated Randaberg two weeks ago. So, the first reason for my pick is the home advantage. The second reason is connect with the current situation in Strommen squad. I believe the atmosphere is good. The players confidence is surely very high after the last home victory. Strommen won 6:2 against Lov Ham and it is clear they will try to repeat the good form on this match. The key player is Simen Stamso Axel Moller who scored hat-trick against Lov Ham. The other scorers were Olsen, Laajaab and Bjornevik. I am sure Strommen coach Thomas Berntsen will motivate his players once again and will find a weak points in Alta defense. And the last reason is connect with the tradition. I will mention that Strommen won 6:1 agaisnt Alata in the last season. The match was played on 30.05.2010. The first match this season, when Alta was host, ended 1:1 (03.07.2011).

  24. Turkey vs Macedonia Pick: Turkey Handball, Qualifications for 2012 Women's European Championship Turkey and Macedonia started the qualifications different way. While Macedonia won 34:25 against Lithuania in the first round, Turkey lost from France with the same result. The results are expected as France is absolute favorite in the group, while Lithuania is absolute outsider. So, the matches between Turkey and Macedonia are crucial. I think Turkey is closer to the victory here. They have the home advantage, it is expected a hot atmosphere in Suleyman Evcilmen Spor ve Sergi Salonu in Antalya. The fans will give big support to their players and this is an important advantage. Specially because Macedonian players are inexperienced. And that my second reason. Macedonian coach Gino Strezovski is without the best players. Julija Partenko is injured, Dragica Kresoja didn't come with some stupid explanation (bad airplane connections), both Lambevska and Oholonaga don't want to play for the national team etc. On contrary, the situation in Turkish national team is good. Leaded by former Kometal player Jeliz Ozel, they are solid team. It is true they lost with 9 goals from France, but it is also true they played very good. Still, the quality were on French side and they was better in the finish of the match. But here is the different situation, Macedonia is not that strong, Turkey have the home advantage and I believe they will win.

  25. Re: England » Barclays Premier League » Oct 22/23 Liverpool vs Norwich Pick: Draw Liverpool is a favorite against Norwich, specially because this game will be played at Anfield. But I believe Norwich is able to make a small surprise. There are two reasons for my pick. First of all, Liverpool isn't superior at home this season. The Reds have two victories and two draws in the first four home matches. The manager Kenny Dalglish has a problem as his players failed to win on two games (against Sunderland and Manchester United) even they had an advantage. For this match he will be missing Lucas Leiva due to suspension and this is a handicap for Liverpool. I am sure Lucas is very important. The second reason for my pick is connect with the guests. Norwich is in fantastic form with three victories in the last four matches. Here are the results: 15.10. Norwich - Swansea 3:1 01.10. Manchester Utd - Norwich 2:0 26.09. Norwich - Sunderland 2:1 17.09. Bolton - Norwich 1:2 As You can see the only defeat came from the actual champion Manchester United at Old Trafford. But I watched the game and I must admit Norwich was very close to make a surprise. Anthony Pilkington had two excellent chances, he even hit the post in 75 minutes of the match, but has no luck. Norwich manager Paul Lambert has no new injury worries. It is interesting that he could be poised to name an unchanged starting line-up for the fifth consecutive match. I am sure this is a good situation for Lambert. And I believe his team could stay unbeaten at Anfield.
