As an Aussie I love ya work ted...
I like Fame Game...

Could you post the league name mate so we can identify where the bet is...

Good start amigo...will be following with small stakes....

Thanks for that mate...start your own thread....you could be a champ in the making....Hi Mr Magoo I don't know if this is going to be anything special as such, looks okay so far tho. My selections are from a number of leagues, tho maybe not as many as jtw's. I use top leagues only, from England, Scotland, Spain (but no Barca or Real Madrid as there's no value at all),Germany, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Belguim, and Switzerland. I dismiss others like Finland or France or Denmark for no other reason than I don't like betting on those leagues, I've had my fingers burned with them before. Simply a preference. I have no breakdown of how different leagues have performed, but I could calculate that fairly easily. It's actually only 4 and a half months old because I started on 4th Feb and it's up until now but I stopped during the summer so Feb, March,April,May and now 2 weeks into August. I may start my own thread with these selections if I think I can find the time to keep it up to date. -
Gday only1woz... As a systems buff. Im always on the lookout for something special. I was wondering if your efforts in para 1 were in the EPL only, or were they just with jtw's selections in all Leagues...also when did your 6 months begin and end.. Cheers and good luck for the rest of the season...Hi JTW I mentioned earlier in the thread about looking at your model, but using 2.5 goals as the factor rather than 1X2. The unders wasn't very profitable at all, so I gave up on that after a few months. Now, the O2.5 goals did better, and after just over 200 selections, it has produced a profit of £142 at stakes of £10. Not exactly anything to quit your job for haha but in this game any system that is profitable after 6 months is decent going. I'll carry on with it for this season and see what it looks like around xmas time. I also just this afternoon took a bit of inspiration from Akitsons idea of laying. Looking from the start of last season (August 14) to your post on 28th May. Just laying everything proves far too costly (I gave up halfway thru the season as it was nearing -£100 losses) but if you just layed theAWAY team where the Home Fav is odds of 2.00 or less, then it would've been roughly £265 profit for a £10 lay. The end of the season killed it but if you'd stopped maybe 4 games before the end of the season it'd have been about £482 profit. These figures are pretty rough estimtes, I don't have betfair lay prices for the away teams so I just used the bet365 back price for those teams (which you can get historically on flashscores) and added 1.00 point to them (a 6.5 selection becomes a 7.5 selection to lay) just based on the fact that the betfair prices are usually bigger. Like I say, rough prices, but something for people to think about :D -
Re: US Masters - Augusta National > April 9th - 12th As you quote your age as 92, perhaps you are old enough to know better....... If the 9 was meant to be say, a 2, then perhaps you should grow up......

Re: ***** US Masters Competition - £150 in CASH Prizes *****
Thats only four mate....1-Matt Kuchar- A major just waiting for this consistent golfer. 2-Patrick Reed- This golfer has the skills for this course and could well pop up at a decent price. 4-Jim Furyk- Mr consistency in majors. Always ignored by the bookies yet is always thereabouts on the last day. 5-Ian Poulter- I do not like his attitude as a person but as a golfer is sure to come to the top soon. -

Re: The Holy Grail....well maybe... I suppose the hardest part about this idea is actually managing your alerts. Yesterday I had one in NZ but I wasnt really that keen on it because it had ran 7th at its first run as an alert. I decided to give it another chance and up it bobbed at $7.50. The other issue I suppose is deciding which horses to put in your alerts. One horse might win comfortably and stand out as an alert after winning on debut, but in the very next race a horse misses the start, drops out a bit, then flashes home to be beaten in a photo.. do you blackbook it...probably yes you say, but what if the horse missed the start at its previous start...are you going to keep giving away starts...my feeling is, blackbook it, and hope the trainer does his job and get it jumping with the field next time. There are so many races to watch, but I think in the long run its worth it if you can identify the unexposed horses that are worth following...
-
Im sure that everyone on this forum takes advantage of the Alerts (BlackBookers) which are freely available from most betting sites. My thought has been...what if you only backed your Alerts and nothing else.....!!! I have been doing this since about October and have backed many winners, including a 12/1 shot and a 25/1. I concentrate mainly on unexposed young horses that either win on their debut or race almost as well as the winner. Of course I have my favourite well exposed horses which I put in my Alerts, and together with the unexposed types, my Alerts would number well over 100. Sometimes of course, there is little action for a few days as there are days in Australia where there may be only two meetings to bet only, so I simply watch the unraced horses to see if any of them bolt in, and then put them in my Alerts. I suppose each to his own, but I've noticed my results have improved dramatically since October, and with a sliding scale for staking, I'm going to follow this idea for a while. I'm just wondering if anyone in the UK has tried this method of betting, as it does require a lot of discipline. Cheers all

Re: An Aussies Melbourne Cup System Final field and barrier draw for Melbourne Cup has taken place. http://www.sportsbet.com.au/horse-racing/australia-nz/flemington/race-7-1649789.html?LeftNav&QuickLinks My system selections are as follows: Admire Rakti Signoff Lucia Valentina Fawkner Junoob Araldo I dont like Araldo from barrier 24...the others all have excellent chances. I would rate them in the order listed... Overall, I think the field is one of the weakest Cup fields I have seen... Good luck everyone...

Re: An Aussies Melbourne Cup System 2014 WS Cox Plate...run today... Huge run by Adelaide and terrific ride by Ryan Moore...Fawkner unlucky to run into him today... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhxmVnvj7Ss

Re: An Aussies Melbourne Cup System Referring to my OP, dont let me put you off Admire Ratki, as his weight is based on a minimum weight of about 53K, whereas, back in the 1970s, the minimum weight was around 48K...therefore Admire Ratki could be said to be well weighted on a 53K minimum.....

Re: An Aussies Melbourne Cup System At present, my selection for the MC is Lucia Valentina, who ran a great 3rd to Admire Ratki in the Caulfield Cup. Admire Ratki in the blue with white sleeves can seen at the beginning of the tape 2nd widest on the turn, with Lucia Valentina in the green just behind him...Admire Ratki sprints clear in the straight, but Lucia Valentina reduces the margin to .9L. LV was always too far back to be a real chance... Admire Ratki has been penalised .5kg for its CC win, and this brings it up to 58.5K for the MC, a weight which has not been carried to victory in the MC since Think Big in the 1970s http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/superracing/admire-rakti-storms-to-2014-caulfield-cup-victory-for-japanese-connections/story-fnibcaa0-1227093834153

Gday punters With the Melbourne Cup coming up soon I thought id post my system for picking the winner and it is: On Cup Day, delete all horses 40/1 or longer. Delete all horses that have not had a run in the Caulfield Cup, or run since then. Only Vintage Crop has won in the last 30 years without this run..and he was a champion. Delete all horses that have run 8th 9th or worse in one of their last three runs, proving this was during the last three months. This will give you a number of horses to consider. From those remaining, you will be able to make your own deletions, based on your opinions, etc. Hope you get the winner... Cheers all...

Gday mate from Australia...
What do you think of a system which backs the overs providing the line
is 196.5 or more...in all games in the NBA I mean...
The bets would have to be made the day before the match as Ive noticed
the line increases on game day...cheers and gl....
