  1. Re: Champions League - 28th November Hi Guys, Once again excellent discussion. Tonight I quite fancy early goals from Olympiacos as already stated they are a surprise package capable of scoring. Also like the look of Rosenberg to take a lead against Chelsea. Again although they faced an average Valencia previously they are worh a small punt early on with possible lay potential. 2. Hi Guys, Forgive me if this is the wrong thread for this but I would appreciate some information or views, perhaps even experience of Raj Patels Racing Cash machine. Myself and a friend are considering buying this but I guess the amount of expertise on the systems and strategy forum may be able to aid my decision making. The system will cost over £500 I am lead to believe so I guess I could do with advice please. Many Thanks medics

  3. Re: Soccer Hot Favourites System ( at +2% ) Hi Guys Once again great information. sorry for the negative vibes I do appreciate those who are sincere. 4. Re: Soccer Hot Favourites System ( at +2% ) Hi Datapunter Congratulations on what would appear to be a profitable system. As systems go I am some of a doubting Thomas, but you seem to have, albeit on the face of it, been working your system to effect. As one who is constantly pestered by systems through the post, (does anyone else have this problem), I have to ask the simple question. If I had such a good system why would I need to profit from selling it when it is so profitable. Forgive me for being sceptical I do respect your system but is it really that profitable and will you be posting your picks again soon. Good Luck Medics

  5. Re: World Cup ROTW + Internationals midweek Trinadad v Costa Rica Well spotted Bardo this does look worth a chance here are some reports from FIFA regarding the Ticos. Team news would help and possibly info regarding the Trinadad team. Note below , even Scotland and N Ireland have beaten them. Good Luck Medics

The rising stars of the North, Central American and Caribbean Zone, Costa Rica are now without question one of the most feared teams in the region. This reputation was confirmed in 2002 when the Ticos not only finished top of the final continental qualifying group - by a full six points after suffering only one loss in 10 matches - but also became the first nation ever to defeat Mexico at home in a FIFA World Cup™ qualifier. As a tantalising undercard to Sunday's CONCACAF heavyweight battle between Mexico and the USA, ten-man Costa Rica stepped up to edge Panama while Guatemala blitzed Trinidad & Tobago. Costa Rica were forced to play their second qualifier of the region's final-round 'Hexagonal' behind closed doors due to crowd trouble in their first match – a 1-2 loss to Mexico in February . But even without the normally raucous atmosphere of a packed house, Jorge Luis Pinto's men showed a fair amount of grit and endeavour to earn the three points they so desperately needed against hard-scrapping Panama. After 40 minutes of drab, desultory play at the peculiarly silent Saprissa stadium, the hosts were awarded a penalty. Whayne Wilson stepped up and made no mistake as he slotted calmly past Panamanian keeper Jaime Penedo. Unfazed by the setback, Panama showed why they are considered outside contenders for a spot at the the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ with some fine play in the second period. They looked to be on the road to at least one point when Jose Luiz Lopez picked up two yellows in two minutes, leaving the Costa Ricans to battle with ten men for virtually the entire second half. And when well-travelled maverick striker Roberto Brown scored a spot-kick of his own in minute 58, things looked to be falling apart for the home side. In the end, though, the determined Costa Ricans took a long step toward qualification for their second consecutive finals when Roy Myrie struck a winner two minutes into stoppage time . If there were any fans at the Saprissa, it would have been the cue for wild celebrations as the Ticos picked up their first points of the final round to move, temporarily at least, to the top of the group alongside Mexico and the United States.

  6. Re: WC ROTW Qual + Friendlies - 25/26/27th Mar Mexico v USA Just discovered this from FIFA obviously a lot at stake here Azteca, history22 March 2005 by FIFAworldcup.com 3989563349.jpg Enlarge Photo Photo Gallery Sunday, 27 March, 20:07 CET Azteca Stadium, Mexico City Mexico v. USA Group 2, North/Central American and Caribbean Zone, 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ Both Mexico and the United States opened their 'Hexagonal' accounts with three big points on the road last month to take co-ownership of top spot in the region's final round. And although it is still early days, the two camps are leaving no stone unturned in readying for what has become CONCACAF's incomparable 'clasico.' Bad blood, acrimony, politics and football all chaotically converge when these two sides take the pitch. It is not always pretty, but never boring. Playing at home at the Azteca - where Mexico have only ever lost one FIFA World Cup qualifier – will most likely make all the difference. Bruce Arena and his Americans have been camped high up in the Colorado Rockies preparing for the dizzying altitude of Mexico City while the Mexican federation – intent on avoiding a humiliating fate similar to the loss they suffered against the States at Korea/Japan 2002 – are keeping a tight grip on their own players, risking conflict with their respective clubs. This is the big one, serious business for both sides. 3210131459.jpg Enlarge Photo Photo Gallery History and Background: Mexico keen to cling, States to surge By most accounts Mexico remain the top team in CONCACAF. Their overall qualifying record of 13 wins, three losses and five draws against the States attests to as much. But the balance has been shifting of late. The USA have not lost to their southern neighbours in the space of four matches, keeping a clean sheet against the vaunted El Tri for 434 minutes of football. Their win in Jeonju in the Round of Sixteen in 2002 might well have been the turning point . USA breakdown: Foreign brigade or hard-working home-boys? Although Arena and the powers that be in U.S. Soccer have spared no effort or expense over the course of a month-long March training camp, the sizable stable of foreign-based players only join the camp seven days before the showdown in Mexico City. The likes of Claudio Reyna, Landon Donovan, Carlos Bocanegra, Eddie Lewis, Tim Howard and Brian McBride will all have missed out on two crucial friendlies (a 3-0 win over Colombia and a 1-0 victory over Honduras ) and the high-altitude training in Colorado. This fact will leave Arena in a bit of a quandary: does he depend more on the domestic-based players who, though in their MLS off-season, have had the opportunity to train together, or instead throw in the Euro-stars? It's a legitimate question, and one that will not be answered until the two sides kick off on 27 March. Mexico breakdown: Victory on the cards, but tension mounts If they can keep their nerves from jangling, Mexico will be considered heavy favourites heading into the match. With a tight squad, some decent recent results and a monstrous winning record at the Azteca , they should, in truth, have no trouble with the visitors. A loss, though, could cost Argentine-born boss Ricardo Lavolpe his job and cause more than a few days of mourning among the football-mad faithful in the sprawling capital. Defeat is not an option, and it will be down to striking duo Jared Borgetti and Jaime Lozano to put the ball in the back of the net. The two are joint-top of the region's scoring charts with ten goals apiece. A large portion of the creative responsibilities will fall at the feet of the enigmatic Cuauhtémoc Blanco in the centre of midfield and he will have to be at his best as goals have been hard to come by lately for the Mexicans. After Lozano grabbed two in an impressive win over Costa Rica on the road in their first final round qualifier, he missed a penalty in a friendly with Colombia and the side failed to score against Argentina's B-team. With nerves stretched to breaking point, perhaps the goal may appear even smaller than usual to the Mexican strike duo, who have not managed to put one past the States in four tries. Key match-up: USA v. the teetering Azteca Despite a recognisable shift in the region's balance of power, one hard fact remains: the U.S. have never beaten Mexico in Mexico. Having lost 21, won 0 and drawn 1 against their neighbours to the South, their record at the dreaded Azteca - 7,200 feet above sea level - is even more worrisome. In 18 tries, they have lost 17 and drawn 1. This does not make for pleasant reading to the average U.S. football fan, and should not instil much confidence in the players or coaching staff. But with two March friendly wins under his belt, Arena is hoping to come prepared. The key to the month-long training camp will surely have been the week of 'altitude training' the squad underwent in Colorado. Hopefully, for his side, it will have done the trick and will help overcome the sensation of "trying to play in a bad dream," as former U.S. international John Harkes once described playing at the Azteca. The stakes: Plenty of time still, extra spot wiggle room Outside the realm of the romantic, the actual stakes are quite low for both sides. With a potential fourth spot for CONCACAF at Germany 2006, the likelihood of either 12-time finalists Mexico or the United States – who have reached the last four finals – failing to qualify lies somewhere between slim and nil. But in terms of psychology and bragging rights, the match could not be bigger. Mexico are desperately trying to keep their foothold as regional kingfishers, while the up-and-coming U.S. are looking to assert their dominance in yet another arena. The winner of the match will take hold of top spot in the six-team final-round group.
