  1. Re: UEFA Champions League > Semi-Final 2nd Leg > Tuesday 24 April Hello everyone! First of all, I would like to thank you for your interesting and informative posts. A lot has been said about "who wins / qualifies to the next round". But let me turn your attention to the corner market. We all understand that Barcelona will attack and Chelsea will defend. Barcelona will have plenty of possession, as they usually do. Most likely they will need to use the likes of Dani Alves and Iniesta to expose the defense on the flanks. In the first match it was 1 corner for Chelsea and 8 for Barcelona. Considering the fact, that Barcelona will be desperate to score at least three goals I expect them to beat -5.5 asian corner handicap, which is available at Bet365 at 2.05. Thank you for your attention and good luck with your bets! aloha

  2. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifiers > 2-3 September

Germany -1.5 AH @ 1.55 Can't see anything other than a Germany win. A far better side, home advantage and a good H2H record against their opponents. Odds aren't great but oh well. I'll wait a couple of days before placing; does anyone have any meaningful team news? Are Germany missing anyone important?
Mario Gomes is most likely to miss the match. But Germany still have enough forwards who are capable to replace him. Germany need two points out of three games to make sure they get the first place and I believe they will do they best to win Austria and try reserves in the upcoming games. Anyway, I totally agree with you that this match is most likely to be one-way football, but still, I see no value in 3way or asian handicap markets. I've checked some statistics and found out that Germany conceded only three goals in six matches and only one goal at home. Germany have fantastic players at the back in their disposal and I believe Austria will find it hard to make shots on target. Maybe set-pieces are the only good opportunities for them to score. My suggestion is to take "Both teams to score - NO" for 1.72 at BWIN. Looks like one of the most valuable bets in this match. Good luck chaps. aloha.
  3. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 27-28 August Couple of thoughts regarding ManU - Arsenal match. First of all, Arsenal will have another clash with Udinese this Wednesday. Match against ManU will be their fourth hard fixture (Udinese x2, Liverpool and ManU) in eleven days. What is more, Gervinho, Song and Frimpong are all suspended for the match against ManU. Nasri is no longer Arsenal player and Wilshere is most likely to miss the clash due to injury. Good news for Arsenal is that Rosicky and Koscielny are most likely to be fit. I believe Arsenal will keep playing 4-2-3-1, and the starting line-up most probably will look like : Szczesny - Jenkinson, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Sagna - Lansbury, Ramsey - Walcott/Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rosický/Miyaichi, Arshavin - Van Persie. Still pretty competitive line-up, but, as far as I am concerned, there are too many inexperienced players in midfield area for Arsenal. And it will be hard to find any firepower from the bench for Arsenal. Also, from the last 7 games at Old Trafford United won 6 and drawn one, which is very impressive. I was lucky to take United with 1.5 at Bet365, because the odds are falling, but now I am also thinking about taking "ManU to keep a clean sheet". With all respect to Arsenal and RVP, I can hardly find who can feed RVP with great passes, especially watching the match against Liverpool, where both Arshavin and Walcott were simply awful. Good luck with your bets!

  4. Re: UEFA Champions League Final: FC Barcelona v Manchester United - Saturday 28th May I agree with bounce08, that this game is hard to predict, because, on one hand, barcelona has been great for the whole season, on the other hand, playing at Wembley will surely benefit ManUnited, and finally, it's Champions League final, enough said. I've seen a lot of match winner predictions here, so, I've decided to turn your attention to corner market. I personally believe that this final will be similar to what we saw in 2009 in Rome. I expect both teams to be very accurate at the back and keeping clean sheet will be number one priority for both teams. If to speak about me, I believe that there is value in Asian Total Corners Under 9.5. I've made a small research and found out, that during 2009 final there were only 5 corners [barcelona - ManU 3:2]. I also checked couple of games with approximately equal teams in knockout phase of 2011 Champions League. Barcelona - Arsenal 5:2 Arsenal - Barcelona 4:1 ManU - Chelsea 7:2 Chelsea - ManU 3:5 As you can see, all of these games went under 9.5. So, my choice is: Asian Total Corners Under 9.5 @ 1.95 (Bet365) There is also a chance, that by the end of the game there will be one goal difference and winning team will try to waste as much time near the corner flags as possible, so, there is alternative bet: 1st half Asian Total Corners Under 4.5 @ 1.90 (Bet365) Thank you for your attention and good luck with your bets ! aloha

  5. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 28th September Hi boys, as far as I am concerned, "Marseille will not score" at BWIN for 1.95 looks very nice. Chelsea are very solid at home in the Premier League and they did not concede a goal this season: Chelsea - West Brom 6-0 Chelsea - Stoke 2-0 Chelsea - BlackPool 4-0 I think, that without Lampard and Drogba Chelsea will start in 4-3-3 formation and from my point of view, their line-up will be something like this : Cech - Ivanovic, Alex, Terry, Cole - Ramires, Mikel, Essien - Malouda, Anelka, Sturridge. Chelsea have a very solid defense and three players in the midfield who always work hard on the pitch. What is more, Marseille will probably start with one striker only. So, I can not see them scoring a lot of goals. Ancelotti do not have so many players at his disposal at the moment and I think they will try to score a quick goal, because they will have a very important game this weekend against Arsenal and some players need to be rested. If everything will be as planed, Ancelotti will use Zhirkov, Kakuta and McEachran as late substitutes for Malouda, Anelka and Essien, I guess.. Good luck with your odds ;)
