  1. Re: 2012 Challenge Cup Final 4pts Warrington (-8) to beat Leeds Evs Ladbrokes 1pts Chris Hill - Lance Todd Trophy Winner - 40/1 Wembley has become like a 2nd home for Warrington over the last 4 years and this is the 3rd time in that period they had made the trip down. Agree with what Kev said about Leeds getting up for big games and i cannot disagree with that however i cannot get away from how big a miss Danny McGuire is for Leeds, has matured into a pivitol part of the way Leeds play and without him they tend to over rely on Sinfield. I have my doubts over the Right Edge defence for for Leeds and fancy Atkins and Riley to get some joy down the wire left. Think this could be a grind for an hour or so but i fancy the Warrington bench being much stronger could sway this in their favour. Chances are the Lance Todd will go to a playmaker so, Briers Sinfield and Hodgson are rightly favs in this market but i cannot get away from Chris Hill at this price. Front Rowers dont normally get a look in with these kind of markets but Jeff Lima won this last year and at 40/1 for a guy who has made himself 1st choice starter in a big name Wire front row due to some fantastic go forward performances im gonna chance my arm here

  2. Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 21 - 20-23 July 4pts - Hull KR Winning Margin 1-12 - Ladbrokes - 15/8 As much as it pains me to say this i dont have much confidence in hull winning the derby tonight, the injuries have been well documented and having Danny Houghton back in the squad will be a big bonus but this is a hull side playing with no confidence and there appears to be lots of disharmony in the camp at the moment so much so there are rumours Brett Seymour has refused to play this evening ( Not confirmed) A possible Partnership of McGoldrick and Heraamia doesnt shake fear into Anybody. I expect Hull to be competetive as the fans would expect nothing less from a hull derby but i see Rovers winning this fairly comfortably.

  3. Re: Challenge Cup Semi Finals & Catalans vs Hull 14-15 July 4pts - Wigan (-4) to bt Leeds - HT Cap - 5/6- Boylesports Really like Wigan to be leading this at HT, they usually fly out of the blocks and in past 2 seasons they have blown many a team away with there first 20 mins and although i expect Leeds to be still in the game i do think they will be leading this at the Half by 5 or more.

  4. Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 20 - 6-9 July 4pts - Warrington (-10) to Beat Catalan - EVS - Betvictor I like Warrington for Monday night, Not really hit there straps this year but still sit in 2nd on the table, Im not overly keen on taking teams the week before a big game but i just think the result and poor performance last week has forced Tony Smiths hand here and he will want his side to to get some Momentum before playing Hudds next Week. No Myler or Solomona named in the 19 man squad but it still looks very strong and probably as strong as they have been all year. Catalan also name a strong looking squad but miss Thomas Bosc, Louis Anderson and Seitamata Sa but do have Jean Phillipe Baille returning. Plenty of motivation for the dragons as a win here and the game in hand over Hull will lift them into 2nd place. Games between these two tend to be tight encounters and going to the HJ Will hold no fears for Trent Robinsons men but i just think with a CC semi next week and the dissapointment of last weekends defeat at Salford that Warrington will be fired up to make a statement and take the Dragons by more than 10

  5. Re: England vs Exiles - Game 2 July 4th I was just gonna sit back and enjoy this without having properly looked at the teams, however having now looked at them i am going to get involved 4pts - Exiles to bt England - 6/5 - BetVictor For me this isnt about the side the Exiles have picked its more about the poor side England are putting out, I have no problem with Mcnamara experimenting but he has pulled a couple to many out for me tonight, the back row looks very poor to me and the Exiles most definately have the edge in the halves once again showing how much we need somebody to come through in the next few years by having to pick Matty Smith at 6. If the Exiles can keep a lid on Roby i think Dureau and Holdsworth can guide them to a victory to square the series.

  6. Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 19 - 29-2 July 3Pts - Widnes to bt Castleford - 6/5 - William Hill Not really a match to get overly involved in, however i just think these two sides are in total contrast at the moment, Widnes seem to be adjusting albeit slowly to SL in recent weeks and keep adding the odd SL player to bolster there ranks and have just added Eamon O'Carroll who will do a job for them. Home form has been fairly competetive for the most part this season and they have picked up 3wins at the Stobart this season. Encouraging performances in the last few weeks for the vikings and i think they may well of targeted this game for a Victory. Cas on the other hand are appearing to b in turmoil with Rangi Chase suspended by the club and without him they are a totally different side to him in it. Away form has been shockin with over 200 points in last 4 away games and with the squad looking thin i fancy they may get turned over tonight.

  7. Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 18 - 22-25 June Im on the Wigan Train Tonight Also, Slightly longer cap as i missed the 40 4pts - Wigan (-42) to bt Widnes - EVS - BetVictor Wigan look to extend the lead at the top of SL Tonight with what should be one of the most one sided contests of the season. 3 Losses from 17 means confidence is high and as big a players as Leuluia and Lima are Wigan have more than enough in this squad to draft someone else in. Widnes have improved in recent weeks and indeed picked up a rare win against Hudds 2 weeks ago and just got edged in London last time out but this is a step up in class. Only once this season on their travels have they shipped in less than 30 points ( against london) and against a Wigan side hell bent on avnging their shock defeat earlier in the season i dont see motivation a problem for Wigan to cover this line tonight

  8. Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 18 - 22-25 June 3pts -Hull KR To Bt Catalan Dragons - Evs - Stan James Im going against you tonight Kev, I like teams with momentum and Rovers certainly have that, As we agreed the other week Michael Dobson is a class act and i expect him to go well again tonight and even more so if Blake Green returns to partner him in the halves, Hopefully the week off will not of hindered KR and they can continue with there recent form. Catalan also have a quality Half back but for me Scott Dureau hasnt quite hit the straps quite as much as last year. Catalans have already won at Craven Park this year 18-20 in the CC but thats when they were playing really well and Rovers were very inconsistent, On a fast track i would be with the Dragons but its Miserable here in Yorkshire and i think Rovers can grind this out tonight !

  9. Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 17 - 8-11 June You sure that game was live and you hadnt watched it earlier Kev !!! Dont think you could of called or wrote up anymore accurate if you tried, Dobson is quality and hopefully we can find him an English passport just like Rangi Chase ;). Managed to get a little bit on myself but wasnt in from work to write up but the form line certainly suggested Rovers would go close tonight, The Exiles game and week off comes at a bad time for Rovers and unfortunately now they are just a point behind FC :puke

  10. Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 14 - 18-21 May Monday Night Super League - I Like the sound of that !! 3pts Leeds -6 to bt St Helens - EVS - Betvictor Gonna have a small play on Leeds tonight, Neither of these teams are playing the rugby they can play but Leeds have been pretty strong at Headingley this year and have already turned over Warrington and Catalans quite comfortably on their own patch. Carl Ablett, Brett Delaney and Jamie Peacock all return this week after sitting out last weeks cup win at Leigh, also Rob Burrow makes his comeback in SL after having a run last week. Biggest positive of all about team news for Leeds is the return of Kallum Watkins, i like this kid and he could be anything he wants. Saints on the other hand looked well out of sorts last week at Wigan and look very light in the forwards and struggled to get the go forward the needed to get the ball out wide to the backs, Tony Puletua returns for them this week but im not sure he can make such a big difference on his own from a well beaten pack last week, Away form would also be a worry for Saints as the have lost at Huddersfield and Bradford Drew at Hull KR and Just beaten a woeful Castleford side by 6 points. One final swing factor for me is the result from earlier this season when Saints just demolished Leeds 46-6, on the day Saints would of beaten anyone the way the played, with that motivation and thankfully no red hairstyles when they play this time im taking the Rhinos to win by more than 6

  11. Re: England vs West Indies - Test Series Dont suppose anybody keeps record of prices etc etc do they, im sure i backed S Broad over 121 pts in the first test but according to my statement i backed Jimmy Anderson Over 121pts, there is a possibility that i have obviously just taken the wrong selection but does anyone know if Jimmy Andersons points were also over 121 before i make a twat of myself with 365 ?? Thanks

  12. Re: Challenge Cup Quarter Finals 11-13 May Todays game should be an absolute belter, these derby games seldom fail to produce 4pts - St Helens over 19.5 pts - Ladbrokes - 5-6 Im not confident enough to make a prediction on which way this will go as it should be close but one bet i do like is St Helens to score at least 20 points today, Knock out football should mean both teams attacking and if Saints throw the ball about they have the strike power to score some points today. Roby can get them going and Hohaia and Lomax are starting to link well in the Halves. Saints do seem to perform better against Wigan at the DW and have scored 20+ points in their last 3 visits, i fancy them to achieve this again today. 1Pts - Iosia Soliola Anytime try scorer - Ladbrokes - 11-4 Sia Soliola is in the form of his life at the moment and has scored 6 in 7 games recently including 1 in the defeat by Wigan at Langtree park on Good Friday so hjas proved he knows the way to the line against Wigan. I like the price of this so will back him to get over the stripe again today

  13. Re: Cricket: Indian Premier League 2010 3PTS- Rajasthan Royal to bt Delhi Daredevils - 13/10 - Boylesports Quite suprised by this stand out price from Boylesports, Rajasthan are in terrific form at the moment and we all know about the ability of warne as Captain. Sometimes i feel they rely to much on Pathan to produce a blistering innings but Lumb and Ojha have both had decent knocks recently. I like the bowling attack also and feel they can defend mediocre totals. Delhi are an impressive outfit as well and have a fantastic Batting lineup, Gambir, and sehwag are obvious standouts in the team as well as overseas stars such as Collingwood, warner and De Villiers. Big factor for me taking the Royals today is the loss Of Dirk Nannes, he has proved to be a super bowler in this format be it for Holland, Australia or the Daredevils. As we have seen in IPL any team can beat anyother and at the prices i am happy to be Warney and his effiecient side today

  14. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIV Round 20 & National Rail Cup Final Well done guys with Huddersfield although i was getting a little nervous for you when 20-16. Im going against you tonight Kev :tongue2 2pts - St Helens (-2) to bt Warrington - William Hills - 10/11 This could of been an absolute belter of a game but there is too many players missing from both teams for it too really get my juices flowing. Wire have become a very consistent outfit under TS And you dont feel like they are going to throw in a poor performance in any more under him. However they are missing a few key men tonight especially in the forwards, Adrian Morley, Paul Rahuihi and Mickey Higham are missing from the front row and they dont look the biggest pack to me. Also no Chris Hicks tonight so be Interesting to see how Brian Carney goes back in SL. Lee Briers is missing as well and if Wire play well he is usually the catalyst for that. I feel that getting beaten by Salford last week could be the kick up the arse they needed and although they are missing Sean Long for a few weeks, i dont think it will bother them too much as it will give Eastmond the chance to forge a partnership with Pryce in readiness for next season. Cunningham for most teams would be a massive loss but the replacement isnt too bad a player, the only downside to Roby starting is they might miss his Impact off the bench. Only positions i fear for Saints tonight is in the Centres where Gilmour and Gary Wheeler line up. As i stated earleir the St Helens pack looks a big one today and with Fa'asavalu and Hargreaves to come off the bench they will not lack size at any time tonight. Throw into the mix that Warrington have a awful record against Saints and i do think this ways heavily at the Halliwell Jones stadium

  15. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIV Round 20 & National Rail Cup Final Hope to get back on track after last weeks awful points tip on Hull - Leeds !!! 3pts - Wakefield (+16) to bt Leeds - Stan James EVS Wakefield head into tonights game on the back of a 30-14 defeat at Huddersfield last time out. Previous to this they have been in better form with just a defeat to Bradford in their previous four games. Brad Drew should be back tonight and i always feel they attack better when he gets around the ruck area. The Wildcats do lose Tony Martin but he is just a solid player so shouldnt miss him too much. Leeds come off the back of Last weeks win at Hull that in truth was probably more dominant than the final score suggests. When they open up and play rugby Leeds are as Good as St Helens if not better and in recent weeks they have been scoring points for fun 60-33-43 in last 3 weeks. Brent Webb and Danny McGuire both return tonight to add even more strike power to the rhinos juggernaut !!! John Kear has being talking all week about breaking a hoodoo that Leeds have over them at Belle Vue ( Not won since 1992). Im not sure the Wildcats can beat Leeds tonight but i think that 16 is a big start in Super League especially with the game being on Sky. ( im a scenic when it comes to games on sky, they dont want them to be too one sided now do they :D Hence Mr Smith giving Hull everything in 2nd half last week) Exception last weeks Wigan - Quins of course !! Although come 10pm tonight if the Rhinos have won by 17 or more i will re-access my theory and never mention it again

  16. Re: Rugby League: Super League XIV Round 19 & Co-op Championships Cheers Guys, Im going to the KC tonight and i think it might be a low scoring affair Hull FC vs Leeds Rhinos - 48 Points or Under - 10/11 @ William Hill When the sides met earlier in the season at Headingley the game produced 62 points with Leeds 46-16 Winners. However on that night, Hull gifted the Rhinos 4 tries. I dont expect them to be quite so generous at Home tonight. Motu Tony joins Calderwood,Cusack, Dowes and Tom Briscoe on the sidelined for Hull so they lose a bit of strike power whilst Leeds are missing one of the best support players in the league tonight Brent Webb. In 18 games so far this season Hull have been involved in just 5 games that have gone over 48 points and at home not 1 game has gone over 48 points. Hull are impotent in attack and struggle to put points on the board. Yet normally they are fairly decent defensively. Hull have just announced another big name signing for Next year so hopefully there will be a good vibe around the Stadium to help the boys out and bring them home for victory. If not under 48 points will see me fairly happy
