  1. Re: Copa Del Rey > 26th - 27th February Judging from the line up of tonight, it should be Barcelona winning by a close margin. The reason is because Real Madrid's make shift keeper is prone to mistakes. I won't be surprised to see him making another tonight. But i am not too sure if it is a 100% sure qualification match up for Barcelona. Judging from past history, there is a slight possibility that Barcelona will lose on away goals. Barcelona Over 1.5 @ 1.5 Bet365 Barcelona -0.5 @ 1.625 Bet365 My prediction : Barcelona 2 - 1 Real Madrid

  2. Re: Portugal v Netherlands June 17th Holland @2.5 Bet365. The reason is simple, Portugal is sort of an away team here. They have not played at the Mentalist stadium before while Holland has played here for the past 2 games. Holland has been pretty strong too, its just that they have been wasteful. I expect Hunterlaar to put away chances unlike Van Persie. Portugal is always susceptible to conceding anyway.

    VALENCIA V.S. MAN UTD

2015.gif662.gif Man Utd has been poor on away grounds. I have to say i am really dissapointed with their out-of-sorts defence. Where Rio will play tonight is a non-matter. Man Utd can't score without conceding. Mind you, Valencia is ON FIRE.:@(like this). Even the likes of Hercules(the Sevilla and Barcelona conquerer) lost to them. Man Utd has drawn their past 3 premier league games due to poor defending. Valencia is much stronger than Everton and Bolton so i will expect a long night for the devils. RUBIN V.S. BARCELONA

1852.gif2017.gif Barcelona didn't do well on away for the Champions League. But they should do well against Rubin tonight with Villa up front. They have yet to lose a game on away grounds and i do not think that Rubin has the firepower to withstand Barcelona's onslaught for 90 minutes. BARCELONA -1.5 @ 2.85 BET365 RANGERS V.S. BURSAPOR 1899.gif2227.gif Ranger's home has been a fortress. The last time they lost a game at home was against Stuttgart in September, which is pretty for a team like Rangers. LIVERPOOl V.S. STEAUA

    663.gif1776.gif

At the moment, i see Liverpool as a very sturdy team that can defend well at the back, but ALWAYS have problems converting at the front. Based on the team news, Torres and Gerrard are not be starting tonight. And if you were to ask me, i will say that is very good news. This is because Torres and Gerrard havent been performing well this season. The reason why Liverpool's stuck at the bottom half of the league is Roy Hodgson's obsession with Torres, and i really think he should use Ngog. Ngog isnt too bad himself and he will probably put 1 in the back of Steaua's net tonight. With Jole Cole back in the hole tonight, i wont be surprised to see Liverpool making those delicate through passes to Ngog. One of the basic requirements i think a team needs if they were to clear the asian handicap is the number of clean sheets. I have watched many many matches and i find that teams that concede a goal to the opposition rarely manage to beat their opponent by more than a goal.Liverpool has been keeping a decent cleansheet for the past 4 games. They have only conceded 1 goal. Steaua on the other hand, i think will have trouble handling Liverpool. I dont like to compare Steaua with West Brom because both of them have different styles of play. But i will actually think that West Brom is stronger than Steaua beacuse they have more pace in their counter attacks. We will see if Liverpool can finally break the duck tonight. It has been a long time since we have watched a game at anfield with the reds dominating possession. Will it happen tonight? I very much believe so.

    ARSENAL V.S. BRAGA

    660.gif1682.gif

I will keep this short because i have lots of work at hand now. I am going for BRAGA +1.25 @ 2.025 ladbrokes because Braga has not conceded more than 2 goals since 22/02/10, against Porto. Arsenal on the other hand is missing Walcott which i think will be a huge factor beacuse without his penetration run on the right, they will lose alot alot alot of pace tonight. I think as long as Braga can keep it tight at the back, they should get at least a draw. Another problem Arsenal has is, who will be their striking option tonight? On nights like this, we can't rely on youngsters because Braga's style of play is always different from the English.

    REAL MADRID V.S. AJAX

    2016.gif1515.gif

Big big big game for Jose Mourihno, the champions league veteran. Will Cristiano Ronaldo open his scoring chequebook tonight? We shall see..

Anyone likes statistics? Lets do some statistics shall we? :lol

    • The last time Real Madrid has failed to score at home was against Barcelona on 11/04/10. The previous time Real Madrid has failed to score at home was against Liverpool on 26/02/09. So between 26/02/09 till 11/04/10, Real Madrid has scored in every single match. That is 30 matches in total. May i also add that out of these 30 matches, they have lost only 4?

    • The last time Ajax has failed to score on away grounds was against Twente in 01/08/10.They have failed to score against Juventus on 26/02/10 as well.

For the past 10 home/away matches, Ajax has kept 4 clean sheets while Real Madrid has kept only 2 clean sheets! So wait, shouldn't Real Madrid be the underdog tonight?

However, if you do notice, Real Madrid has never won games with defending.Besides, they are highly likely to concede a goal tonight. However, they have this mentality that if you score 1, they will score 3. Ajax on the other hand will probably try to sneak 1 or 2 goals in and defend like theres no tomorrow. But that tactic wont work on Real Madrid. Real Madrid is due to perform like Barcelona sooner or later, and i say it happens tonight.

    BARCELONA V.S. PANATHINAIKOS

    2017.gif1039.gif

Well well well. What do we have here? A Barcelona who just lost to newly promoted hercules versus Panathinaikos, who is on form for the Greece Super League.

What information do we have for this match? Firstly, Barcelona thrashed them 5-0 and 3-1 for the past two meetings. Panathinaikos has yet to win a single game in Camp Nou. If that is not worrying for you, other than the match last week against Hercules, they have NOT lost a single game at home, since 06/01/10 against Sevilla(Who were actually on fire at that point of time, sigh). But one word of caution, that match was for Copa Del Rey. The next home game was amazingly, Sevilla again and this time, they thrashed them 4-0 at home. So what can we tell from all these statistics? Barcelona is GOING to whoop Panathinaikos tonight for sure :lol

If you were to look even DEEPER at the trends, whenever Barcelona loses a match(regardless of home and away), the next team will take the blunt of the enraged Barca.

Barcelona 6 - 1 Real Zaragoza - 26/10/09, after they lost to Rubin Tenerife 0 - 5 Barcelona - 11/01/10 , after they lost to Sevilla Barcelona 4 - 0 Racing - 21/02/10, after they lost to Atletico Madrid Barcelona 3 - 1 Deportivo - 25/04/10, after they lost to Inter Milan Barcelona 4 - 0 Sevilla - 22/08/10, after they lost to Sevilla in Super Copa

So what do you get when you see an angry Barcelona tonight? Simply blood.

  9. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 7th September

Last week, I had a 5-fold in... This week, I don't like the fixtures and have decided to go for a gamble 4-fold just for fun... Here goes... Hungary vs. MOLDOVA: I hate Hungary. I just do, always have, always will. Very overrated, have nothing much going for them except for Zoltan Gera, who can be easily marked. Moldova won 2-0 against 10-man Finland last week, and if it was Hungary vs. Finland, I'd be keen on Finland, who I also think are overrated. NORWAY vs. Portugal: Portugal drew 4-4 with Cyprus at home, and now have to travel to a solid Norway side who are good at home without Cristiano Ronaldo and coach Carlos Quieroz. BELARUS vs. Romania: Romania are in disarray after conceding late against Albania to draw 1-1. According to rumours their coach is on the brink of being sacked. Belarus won 1-0 against France, and are in the middle of their league campaign so are match fit. BOSNIA vs. France: It's France. 'Nuff said. 140/1 @ Bet365...
hahaha, i actually thought that Hungary will win this by 2 goals actually. Im going for Hungary -1 @ 2.08 188BET despite them not winning a single game for the past 5 matches. but the past 5 matches have been strong teams and i wont see too much into that. Moldova is pretty poor away and Hungary should be hungry tonight. "Hungry" has yet to lose a game to Moldova at home btw. The last time they met was 2-0 to Hungary.
  10. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 7th September Lots of college homework today so i've to keep mine short:cry

    BULGARIA V.S. MONTENEGRO

At the moment, the last time Montenegro won a game on an away ground was in year 2007. Bulgaria is pretty decent on home ground. The last time they have lost a game was in year 2007 as well. The last time they met ended a 4-1 win for Bulgaria. I personally think that Bulgaria, despite being thrashed by England last week, still has what it takes to beat Montenegro, especially on a home ground. In fact, they have drawn with the likes of Holland and Italy on home ground before. That goes to show their strength. I will highly doubt any thrashing will occur, in fact, this should be a low scoring match, with Bulgaria scoring the winning goal. BULGARIA WINS @ 1.74 188BET

    HOLLAND V.S. FINLAND

Holland is missing Van Persie and Dirk Kuyt. But that shouldn't be a problem because Van Nistelrooy is on form and he has been firing at all cylinders for Hamburg. Tonight should be a showcase of his talent on the European stage again. Finland on the other hand is missing the experience of Hyypia after his dismissal last week. The last time they met, Holland win 3-1. Whether Holland will clear the handicap tonight is still a question mark because i find that they will miss Kuyt's workrate of back tracking and making those delightful crosses. But they should be leading by 1st half i dont see Finland fighting back. HOLLAND/HOLLAND @ 1.50 188BET

    CROATIA V.S. GREECE

Croatia is pretty strong at home with Olic and Kranjcar. But i find the asian handicap of +1 pretty insulting to Greece because they are not too weak themselves either. in fact, they did qualify for the World Cup and the last time they had lost an away game(with the home team having an advantage of the home ground) was in year 2009. If they can keep it tight tonight, i see a draw on the cards. Might even end up as 0-0 for all you know.

    LATVIA V.S. CROATIA

    1397.gif514.gif

For the past 5 games, Latvia has been poor both at home and away turfs. The last time they've won a match was in year 2009 against Moldova. Since then, they have either been drawing or losing games. On the other hand, Croatia has been a strong team who last lost a game in year 2009 again England at the Wembley's. They have defeated Belgium and Austria at home with 1-0 victories.

Head to head records do not count much tonight because they have met only once on Latvia's home ground, which happened wayyyyyyyyyy back in year 2001. Croatia won 1-0 on that match.

The handicap for this match is 0.75 and i find it rightly just because Croatia hasn't been scoring lots of goals on away grounds. The last time they have scored more than a goal in a victorious away match was last year, against Belarus.

Croatia isn't famed for scoring alot of goals but, they are a fairly consistent team. I dont see them thrashing Latvia tonight but a 1-0 victory is definitely logical.

    BELGIUM V.S. GERMANY

    281.gif1037.gif

Honestly, i really like the German team. If you just look at their track record in the World Cup, you can see they were almost unstoppable. But one word of caution, Belgium has the home team advantage. For the head-2-head past records, out of the past 2 meetings, Germany has won both of them. However, both matches happened in year 1995 and year 1991. For the past 5 home matches, Belgium has won 4 and lost 1 to Croatia. Germany on the other hand has won(excluding the World Cup matches) 4 away matches, drawing only 1. I think German has a really fair chance of winning this game, that goes without saying. Belgium has a few exciting players in Thomas Vermaelen(He might score against Germany via corners), Kompany and V. Buyten. Germany on the other hand, is probably an all star squad. The question now is, by how much goals can Germany beat Belgium too? Honestly, i do not think Germany will thrash Belgium. Belgium are traditionally defensively strong at home and Germany always have trouble beating defensive teams that stay in their own half. An instance will be the 1-0 win against Ghana in the World Cup and 1-0 over Russia during the qualifiers. I believe if Belgium is able to keep their cool, this might just end up as a draw instead. Besides, Germany's midfield players haven't been performing in the Bundesliga. Top players like Schweinsteiger, Khedira(Played better in the opener than Higuian though) and Kroos seem to be still mulling over the World Cup exit. I think Belgium will be very keen to get a draw against Germany and i am not saying that they will get it definitely but, i do think that Germany is going to have a hard time getting that winning goal. So i will definitely not put my money on waiting for the Germans to get it. Even if they do win, it will probably be by a 1 goal margin. 281.gif BELGIUM + 1 @ 1.92 188BET

    ENGLAND V.S. BULGARIA

I dont know if anyone is interested this but, this is the squad Capello has named...

England Squad For Euro 2012 Qualifiers Against Bulgaria and Switzerland Goalkeepers - Scott Carson, Ben Foster, Joe Hart Defenders - Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Kieran Gibbs, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Matthew Upson Midfielders - Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Steven Gerrard, Adam Johnson, James Milner, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ashley Young Forwards - Darren Bent, Carlton Cole, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney Quoted from this webby... The main differences between this team and the one at the World Cup will be the Keeper and the Midfield area. Paul Robinson was woeful at the World Cup, and Robert Green was no better(if anyone remembers his howler against USA). Joe Hart is in fine form for Man City and i think it was an oversight from Capello to have omitted him from the squad. England always have problems sending balls forward from the midfield area and i believe this is because Lampard and Gerrard's styles of play do not complement each other at all! If Capello is willing to play Johnson(he was FANTASTIC during the Liverpool game) and Walcott(That boy broke Blackburn's goalpost net and hearts), the two on form wingers, alot of goals will start to flow in. Gerrard will do just fine in the middle alone. So i say Lampard's injury is a blessing in disguise. Lets start with some team news from the English side shall we? The latest bad news is that Ferdinand, Foster, Carson, Lampard and Terry are all injured.:eyes

The positive news will be Joe Hart and Walcott. It seems that both of them will be featuring in the match this weekend. This is encouraging because Hart and Walcott have been on fabulous form in the Premier League. So far, the only goal that Hart was conceded was a spot kick from Bent last weekend. I can see much problem in the man between the sticks. As for the attacking, Rooney is not firing yet. However, when i saw Defoe's performance against Young Boys during Champions League, i was pretty convinced he will score in this match(I thought he was going for surgery?).

We should forget about England's performance in the World Cup and look strictly at their past records in Wembley. The last time England lost in the Wembley stadium was in year 2007, against Croatia. Since then, they have remained undefeatable and out of the past 15 matches, 8 of them had more than 1 goal scored against their opponent. My guess is that England will go all out on Bulgaria this weekend. Amidst all the criticisms, the 3 lions are actually capable of much more, especially at home. The only weakness that i can see in England is the back 4.I can tell that they are still not accustomed playing together. But England should dominate possession and Joe Hart can bring his PSP on the pitch cause i'll doubt that he will have much to do anyway..:lol
