  1. Re: NRL Round 25 The penultimate round of the Telstra Premiership presents us with some huge matches that look set to have a massive bearing on the finals chances of many sides this week. Which teams will rise to the occasion and deliver a performance worthy of a top eight spot? NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS V BRISBANE BRONCOS A massive game for both sides, given a win for the Warriors would seal a finals birth, while a loss for the Broncos would almost end their season. The key to this match will surround the availability of Broncos stalwart Darren Lockyer. He has not been named by Coach Ivan Henjak, but one suspects he could be a late inclusion in the side. Brisbane are in desperate need of Lockyer’s vision and patience with the football, and if he plays, they are a genuine chance of knocking off a determined Warriors outfit who were gallant in their defeat to Manly last week. If Lockyer continues to be sidelined however, the Warriors could easily rack up a score here and put themselves within touching distance of securing a home final. Tip – Warriors SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS V PARRAMATTA EELS The finals chances of both these sides appear all but over, which suggests that pride will be the only thing on the line in a game that promises a lot of points. The Eels came agonisingly short of producing a miracle win against the Tigers last week, but a missed penalty goal by winger Luke Burt ultimately cost them dearly. The Rabbitohs on the other hand produced arguably their worst performance of the season against the Panthers last Friday night, conceding over 50 points to suggest the club already has its focus set on season 2011. South Sydney do welcome back Queensland Origin forward Dave Taylor from injury, but even his inclusion in the side will do little to mend the point scoring spree the Eels look set to dish out here. Tip – Eels CRONULLA SHARKS V GOLD COAST TITANS Although the Dragons appear to be the obvious premiership favourites, spare a thought for a Titans outfit which has now won five matches in a row and is gunning for a club record six straight victories. What makes the Gold Coast’s run so impressive surrounds the fact they have beaten finals aspirants, the Dragons, Warriors and Sydney Roosters all away from home. The Titans are the real deal this season, and a trip to Toyota Stadium to play the cellar dweller Sharks shouldn’t present too many obstacles for John Cartwright’s men. The Sharks will do everything to turn this match into a grind, but the Titans have shown enough this season to suggest they should win this game fairly comfortably. Tip – Titans CANBERRA RAIDERS V NTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS Brace yourself Cowboys fans because your season from hell could get a whole lot worse down at the nation’s capital. The Raiders stand alongside the Titans as the two form teams in the NRL at the moment, winning six of their past seven matches. The Green Machine was simply outstanding against the Dragons last week, beating the ladder leaders 32-16 and putting themselves right in the running for a top eight birth. The Cowboys have been gallant in their past two matches, but there will be serious concerns about their capacity to hold out a Raiders unit which posted six tries against the NRL’s best defensive team last Sunday. If Nth Queensland can somehow stay in touch come halftime, then they are a chance of causing one of the season’s big upsets. If Canberra starts well however, don’t be surprised if we see Dave Furner’s men crack the half century mark before fulltime. Tip – Raiders

:welcome to PL collo, some nice selections there. Just a couple of things mate. Can you put the bookmaker for where you're getting the odds please? It's just if people want to follow, then they know where to go. Odds for the roll-ups would be good too - I see you got one up yesterday, but no sign of the what the odds would be. Just helpful for us all. One other thing - I've had to remove the direct link to your site. We don't allow that on PL. However, you can put the name of your site in your signature at the bottom, which a lot of people do. You can do this by going to the control panel next to your name and configurating the settings. Sorry to sound like the web police, just the policies on here I'm afraid. Cheers :ok
Hey mate, I went to the signiture bit but could not put in www.thebigtip.com.au

Ok cheers mate, will do that. :)
  4. Re: Tennis - 16-22 August Well its going to better for the 2nd day. BEST BET: Take a treble. Berdych, Fish and Gulbis to win. SUGGESTED MULTI: Kohlschreiber, Fish, Monfils, Youzhny, Berdych, Gulbis and Isner. Some interesting match ups as they have not played against each other before - $2.08 Denis Istomin (UZB) v James Blake (USA) $1.86 A first career meeting between the pair and a very tough one to call. Istomin has improved this season and should not be taken lightly, but I think Blake is still good enough to win this. His results this year have been well below par but the conditions are quick and if his error count can be kept down, he can come out on top. $3.95 Alejandro Falla (COL) v Gael Monfils (FRA) $1.33 Another first career meeting here and Monfils looks a class above in this match. Falla is gritty and always dangerous, but he struggles against the world’s best. Monfils can rally or attack and his exciting shot making should see him breeze into the next round with a straight sets win over the Columbian. happy punting

  5. Re: Tennis - 16-22 August

lopez definitely looser of the day. PATHETIC dent is like a piece of shit and still able to break him unbeliveble. He did 3 df in one ******* game he should be banned from the atp for this
yep i agree :(, this tip didn't exactly go to plan - BEST BET: Take Lopez to beat Dent. The American has qualified this week but Lopez has a clear class advantage and looks a good price. The conditions will be hot and quick, perfect for the Spaniard.
  6. Re: Tennis - 16-22 August

WAWRINKA 2-1 - Sets Betting 3.95 centrebet Wawrinka plays better on hard and defeated Almagro in DC earlier this season. Almagro will get problems here. Could even be over in straight sets. Wawrinka is just to good for Almagro right now. TROICKI 2-0 - Sets Betting 2.37 centrebet Stepanek is not ready for a challenge like this. He is unfit. Could not win a game without problems last match. Lost to Fognini in straight sets and this is no easier task. LU 2-1 - Sets Betting 5.00 bet365 Hewitt is not exactly flying after Wimby but Lu is going strong. Also beat Hewitt on hard in Delray beach last season. Hewitt is complaining about injuries again to blame his last two first round loses to Lacko and Falla. LLODRA 2-0 - Sets Betting 3.00 centrebet Llodra going strong and is a better player then Benneteau.
My tips -Best Bets for Cincinnati Day 1 I agree Wawrinka will be too good - Stanislas Wawrinka (SUI) v Nicolas Almagro (ESP) A tricky match to start the tournament. They have played twice on a hardcourt with one win apiece, but I will side with Wawrinka. The Swiss No. 2 has been travelling better in recent times whereas Almagro has looked patchy away from his beloved clay. It may go the distance, but look for Wawrinka to take this one out. BEST BET: Take Lopez to beat Dent. The American has qualified this week but Lopez has a clear class advantage and looks a good price. The conditions will be hot and quick, perfect for the Spaniard. SUGGESTED MULTI: De Bakker, Troicki, Querrey, Ferrer, Melzer, Roddick, Ginepri. A pick 7 to get you off to a good start to the week.
  7. Re: NRL round 23 It’s now or never as the race for finals spots nears its end. As the Dragons power on to the Minor Premiership, the teams below are yet to secure their status as Premiership contenders, and will be eager to showcase their best form in a round which will throw up some enticing match-ups - NRL preview round 23

BRISBANE BRONCOS V PARRAMATTA EELS The Eels are out of second chances and simply need to win this match if they are any hope of replicating last season’s fairytale run. Standing in their road is a Broncos team with genuine aspirations to go deep into September. Brisbane have won their last two matches and did it easily against the Cowboys last week. The loss of captain Darren Lockyer to injury however is a huge blow for the Broncos, and his absence grants the Eels with a huge opportunity to play themselves back into form. Brisbane are still capable of beating Parramatta, but a desperate Eels side should surely have enough points in them to win this. Tip – Eels
    good luck this weekend guys
  8. Re: NRL Round 22 my tips for the round - NRL preview for punters round 22 Despite the closeness of the 10-6 score line, the Broncos never looked headed against the Dragons and now look on course to reach their 19th consecutive finals series. With such a young squad, the Broncos have defied the odds yet again, but they will face a stern challenge against the Cowboys, who themselves did everything but win last week against the second placed Panthers. This should be a very entertaining match with the personal duel between Johnathon Thurston and Darren Lockyer yet again the highlight. Nth Queensland have every chance of upsetting Brisbane in front of their home fans but the Broncos at this time of year rarely buckle under pressure. Tip – Broncos $1.45 On track with the broncos Let me know how you all fair this round
