  1. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Saturday November 22nd Notts county again look value! Actually available at 2.30.4th v 24th...at home, looks too good to be true?. A bit like 2 weeks ago v Walsall a closer look reveals a mixed home record although and a pretty poor performance in midweek v Accrington in the cup does not inspire confidence.however neither does 1 point from the last 15 for Yeovil on the road and 7 goals in 8 and so surely a home win will be in many accumulators.

  2. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > October 28th & November 1st

Notts County v Walsall 2.80 366bet Very strange, almost suspicious(?) odds for this game. Notts County are 4th and have won the last 5 games. Walsall are 18th and only won once in the last 5, and that was against a Chesterfield side who have picked up 1 point from a possible last 15 The odds for the home side make no sense at all to me, except that Walsall have a fairly good record against county Have chosen 366bet as I'll be using my free bet token on this game, and covering it with last week's winning from the Luton game. However, the odds seem fairly similar on most sites at the moment.
Hi mate, notts county fan here.all I would say is that our home record is not that impressive 3 wins from 7 all of which came against teams in the bottom half and one of which was a fortunate 1-0 against Gillingham who missed a penalty.still good luck with your bet and I definitely hope you win.

3pts Notts Forest to beat Cardiff 2/1 BetVictor Both sides have question marks hanging over them but the international break might just have come at the right time for Stuart Pearce and his side. Cardiff will have to get used to Russell Slade’s way of doing things and there is no guarantee he will be a success at this level. Forest have goals in them which is some semblance of confidence and I think they might just edge their way to three points here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/cardiff-vs-nottingham-forest-betting-forest-can-sneak-a-much-needed-win-in-wales
Notts!!!!!!!!!!??????? Forest have not won since andy Reid was injured against derby a month ago and is missing until the new year.can't see them getting a win at Cardiff without him
  4. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Tuesday August 19th Notts County really are dreadful, one goal in 3 games which was a break away goal at Preston, 5 conceded, no goalscorer. As i said in another thread 4/1 for relegation is a great bet due to last seasons best players leaving.Ok Colchester are no great shakes but 5/2 looks generous to me.oh and i am a Notts fan so i know how bad we really are!

  5. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Saturday August 9th

tough opening fixtures are in this league bar preston who seem to be a banker of the weekend but i also like milton keynes doncaster and coventry to win. i haven't done any thorough analysis but does anyone agree?
Probably worth watching this league for a week or two to see how things settle.I do think Notts County could struggle this season after some major departures but would be wary of backing Preston in an opening day fixture at such short odds.Personally i think Peterboro will be the team to beat this season having been free scoring last year but then suffering a mid season slump.
  6. Re: Ante-Post > Championship Promotion 2014/15

Nottingham Forest As a supporter I don't think I have felt such excitement for the new season. Pearce has already galvanised the club. He has money and the signings so far have been quality. We still like a 20 goal a season striker and injuries are still an issue. If Forest start well we will finish top six.
Pearce!!!!!!! Absolutely shocking at man city..nearly relegated them.9 home league goals in his last season and none after New year's day.Ok that might not mean much now but I have a feeling that this will end in tears
  7. Re: Ante-Post > League One Relegation 2014/15 Notts county 4/1 with Stan James.numerous departures including keeper bialkowlski, captain Sheehan, best player liddle, wingers grealish and Campbell-rice and leading striker Spencer is out for the season.we escaped by the skin of our teeth last season but it won't happen again and it won't be long before the team contains veterans shaun Derry, Alan Smith and hayden Mullins.

  8. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > Saturday October 19th

Swindon look very short to me tonight' date=' Notts County improving and played very well away at Wolves in the JPT the other week. Have backed Notts +0.75 with sbo @2.19. Swindon's home form looks impressive but if you look at who they've played (Gillingham, Crewe, Stevenage, Bristol City and Tranmere) they are all in the bottom eight. They have only beaten Crewe by more than one goal. Notts should finish mid table and can definitely get something tonight.[/quote'] Hope you are right mate as NCFC fan here however an away record of P5 W0 D1 L4 F5 A13 does not inspire confidence.Looking closer though the defeats were at table topping Orient, strong at home MK Dons, improving Carlisle, and Sheff Utd when we played with 10 men for 73 minutes.
  9. Re: Sky Bet League 1 > September 15th - 21st Notts County v Tranmere.Got to be an away win here.Notts fan here and we are truly woeful, the table does not lie.6 defeats from 7, and the draw at Walsall we were losing so could easily be 0 points.Kiwomya has lost the dressing room and is clutching at straws picking on loan kids and constantly changing the formation.Last seasons 'star' player alan judge has long gone as has captain Neal Bishop and Jeff Hughes. Also with the cricket club at Lords tomorrow expect an even lower turnout than usual which will negate the home advantage.Tranmere 3.4!!!!!!!!!!! put your mortgage on it.

  10. Re: Npower Football League Two > 15th September

I'm a Barnet fan, and even I have to agree with the gloomy predictions in this thread. I would note though that the last couple of signings that we have made, namely John Oster and Krystian Pearce are very decent signings for this level. Whilst I don't think they'll make much difference to tomorrow's score, it is worth keeping them in mind for the games in the near future when prices might be a little on the long side. As stated, we are missing a goal threat, so the only hope I see is a rear guard strategy to frustrate and hope that something can be nicked on the break by the lively Ricky Holmes. Realistically, without time to integrate Pearce fully into the heart of our defence, I can see us conceding early again, so the Bradford HT/FT odds of 6/4 look appealing.[/quote Just a quick note from a Notts fan re Pearce.......great loan signing in my opinion, can make the odd mistake but at a lower lever should definately make a big difference
  11. Re: League 1 > 25th August

Notts County v Walsall Hi all.Notts seem a bit short to me here.ok 2 wins from 2 playing against a Walsall team who are likely to be at the wrong end of the table come May, however the wins were against newly promoted Crewe and a truly woeful Hartlepool team. Also of the 4 goals scored so far Arquin (1) is definately missing suspended and Zoko (2) injured is also likely to be missing.Reserve striker showunmi is also still missing as is campbell-rice.This is likely to leave the ageing Lee Hughes as lone forward.low scoring draw on the cards for me i suspect.
late goal ruined the draw but i was right about Notts being too short !
  12. Re: League 1 > 25th August

I've checked the Notts County forum and there fans are confident that they are going to steam roller Walsall predictions range from 5-0 to 2-0. Personally even without Arquin and Zoko they will still put Walsall to the sword.
Hope so! Wouldnt trust the views of the muppets on that board though!

  14. Re: League 1 - April 21

no one hs mentioned the side i fancy the most. Notts county -1 over Bury. Obv high motivation as they chase a playoff place and Bury have been pretty poor on the road lately
Hi Notts fan here.not sure about this one, Lloyd Sam (5 goals in 7 since loan move from Leeds) is doubtful as is Lee Hughes(as always) so goals may be hard to come by tomorrow.
  15. Re: Weekend > League 1 > 25/26 Feb

Having witnessed Notts County last Saturday I'd be leaving them well alone. They kept the ball well in the first half but our keeper Scott Flinders didn't do a thing all game. Hughes and Burgess upfront were abysmal and defensively they were a shambles. The fact they've appointed Keith Curle does little to inspire me given his record in management. If Chesterfield have a go at them I am sure they're capable of getting something. I didn't watch Pools at PNE but everyone I've spoke to said we battered them, they were mediocre and how we lost was hard to fathom. I trust those I spoke to and they're another team I avoid.
Notts are a different beast at home, and Curle made several changes Tuesday including dropping calamity Chilvers and Burgess will be about as near to the team as i will.
  16. Re: Weekend > League 1 > 25/26 Feb My team Notts County look good to me, which is unusual! Close to evens and at home to Chesterfield who are truly woeful.Notts won under the new manager(Curle)the other night against a decent Stevenage team and have now won 3 from 4 and have only lost 2 at home all season one of which was to Charlton.

  17. Re: England: League One Nov 26-28

Like the look of Notts County -0.5 @ 1.95 - Bet365 Expected Notts County to be tad shorter here, at home they have a super record (5-2-1) only losing to Charlton, and are definatly big play-off contenders. Martin Allen has certainly done well in his time at County, and by the sounds of it they gave high flyers Huddersfield a good game last Saturday, if it wernt for a defensive slip they may have got something out of the game. Scunny on the other hand have only won 3 out of 18 games since their relegation back to league 1, and also lost to League 2 side AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup last night. I imagine there is pressure growing on Alan Knill to get some results and i think Saturdays game will be a hard place to start.
Nice post mate.NCFC fan here.although we have spluttered recently, only 6 defeats in 18 games 4 of which were to the top 4 says that close to evens at home is a good price.hopefully Lee Hughes will start(for a change) and this comes in.best of luck
