Re: BBOTD Monday 22nd Top notch tonto. Win. 3.50 pontefract. 9/2 corals and hills Afternoon all. My first post after many months of reading on here. Missed this one last time out when it won on heavy going at Ayr. Ran well at York previously but got seriously blocked that day. Has been placed at Ponty previously but that was on good ground but seems to appreciate soft/heavy going better. Good luck all.

Re: Mileni Summer Jumps 2011 & Flat 2011
Unbelieveable shout mate - I was kicking myself for only backing it to place on betfair rather than win and place but thats my own stupid fault coz i'm on a bad run, but superb on your behalf :clap:clap:clap:notworthyNewton Abbot 6.15 Casper's Shadow 0.5pt EW - 22/1 Boyle VC Shown absolutely nothing so far, but encounters softer ground on handicap debut and cheekpieces are applied for the first time. Wouldn't be the first time yard has fooled the handicapper and off 82 with 7lb claimer on board, he could be competitive in a very weak race. Looked one paced over 2m, so easier surface and 2m3f could suit. -
Re: Mileni Over The Sticks 2010/2011 & Flat 2011

Hill Tribe a N/R unfortunately mate1 point win hill tribe 25/1 stan james 8.50 Kempton hill tribe is a forcast 5/1 shot with sportinglife so the 25/1 on offer is huge, hill tribe has won over this distance and has a record of 1/1/3 in its last 3 starts all class 5 contests the same as tonight, maybe a warning that the price is so big but i will take my chances and risk a pound @ 25,s:hope -

Re: BBOTD 17th October
great shout Lars, I had £10 each way with PP as well at 100/1 :clap:clap:clap:beer:nana:notworthy17:20 Newcastle I risk looking incredibly daft here, and chances are this won't do anything. BUT, Fama Mac will most probably be overpriced on it's actual chances and worthy of a small investment in this 7f maiden. Unraced as a 2yo, has only had one run to date, a maiden at Pontefract over 1m2f. That day he went off 125/1, but didn't run that badly considering. He was sent to the front which I wouldn't have thought suited, but settled well enough for a horse having his first run and bowled along happily enough until 2f out, where he weakened, received a bump and was eased right down. Today he runs over 7f, which is a distance that will suit on pedigree (related to couple of decent types who won over this trip at this age) so that's another positive, as well as on running style from his previous run. Should be able to handle the heavy ground as is related to soft-ground winners (with same trainer). Neville Bycroft is a decent trainer for such a small string, and in a poor maiden, and at these odds, I'm willing to back this one with a small investment. EW @ 100/1 Paddy Power BOG -
Re: Flat Racing ~Wed 8th Sept
Hi Spooner, are you keeping a track of your P/L on Place Lays as this is something of interest for me? Cheers. :):okDoncaster (All Lays to Betfair's Place SP) 14:00 - Bridle Belle PLACE LAY Currently trading around even money for a place, Hanagan/Fahey combo is dangerous to take on but I think this is a tough race to step upto, he won well on debut. Others have ran alot more times and have form in the bag at a higher level. You could argue the same with Godolphin's horse but I don't like taking that stable on, I could be wrong but I fancy Fahey's not to feature that heavily. 15:10 - Look Busy PLACE LAY Probably put in her best form for a while lto but she's hard to back in this listed race. She's been out of form for most of her races finishing down the field on a few starts, the softening ground could help her chances but not sure that'll be enough to see her make the frame. 15:45 - Flying Statesman PLACE LAY Could well need the run after not being seen since the 2009 Coventry Stakes at Ascot, he finished well down the field that day. As I said, he has been off the track for over a year now and to be put straight back into a race like this will take some training to get him to finish in the frame, the Fahey/Hanagan combo is alays likely to attract money so as always hoping for a nice lay price. Epsom (All Lays to Betfair's Place SP) 14:10 - Goodwood Treasure PLACE LAY Goodwood Treasure put up a poor showing lto when upped in class, she is back down in class today but having never run with some cut in the ground it will be another test for her. I feel there are enough questions marks about the horse and Epsom can be a difficult track. 14:45 - Prince Freddie PLACE LAY 997 is three form figures to date, he has not showed a great deal although did appear to be staying on slightly lto so he is upped to 7, could of just been he was running past beaten horses on their debuts. Anyway, although only seven go to post I feel others have shown more such as Enabling who's posted a 3rd and a 2nd. Mark Johnston's filly who's just had the one run but steps up a couple of furlongs which is interesting. Channon's horse showed up better lto and could feature again here. 15:20 - First Fandango PLACE LAY Won his last race at Bath, this looks tougher though and he didn't look the most straight forward, Epsom can be a difficult track. Upped in the handicap for that effort and I think he could struggle to compete although form figures look healthy. 16:30 - Sensationally PLACE LAY Feel this horse maybe better if he is upped in trip another couple of furlongs, has had four tries to get off the mark and been unsuccesful, I feel Music City & Alfonso Wise will be the two to beat here and could have the race between themselves.I wouldn't rule out Cecil's horse either who has shown bits of form. 17:00 - Yabtree PLACE LAY Did not enjoy the soft ground at Newmarket lto, has a useful claimer on board today which would be a positive for the horse. Has looked held since winning at Newmarket though and not sure the step back down to 7f will do him any favours. -
Re: BBotD - Tue 7th Sept
Morning Jay, the horse is at 'Lingers' 3.55 rather than Goodwood but thanks for the shout, could do with a better draw but A.B. is an excellent apprentice jock I.M.O. Best of luck :ok3:55 Goodwood - Exceedingly Bold The 3yo will be dropping down in class to take part in this Cl4 handicap and it might just be the tonic to deliver the colt's first win since a cl4 md as a 2yo, although an ew punt may be more sensible. Has a very capable claimer on board in Adam Beschizza. 50/1 ew paddypower (bog) -

Superb shout mate - had my free £25 win bet with Paddy Power at 12/1 on this one :ok :cheers:cheers:cheers:beerKempton 8.20 Faithful One e/w 12-1 Bet365 Very consistent filly holding her form really well and might be slightly more at home over this 8f than 7f. Re: BBOTD Selections ~ August 31st
Good shout for a place BKI, just covered my win bet with the place:ok4:20 Newton Abbot Coeur Brule 1pt win - 18/1 (VC) Easy to see why he is this price, yet to win a race in 18 starts. Still think the 18's on offer are too big in this poor event though. This horse has threatened to win a few times, and has run well on soft/heavy ground which is a bonus. Finished just 5l behind Alazan in a maiden hurdle last year, and 11l behind Anak in another. Both are rated 130 and 124 respectively. He is also only a four year old, so improvement can be expected. He gets the trip no problem and could spring a little surpise here. -
Re: Market Movers Thread Lees Anthem a non-runner Aidy - watching this thread with much interest - cheers and good luck :ok

Re: Wolverhampton (eve) - Friday 20th August Ted according to Betfair and R.P. Adam Kirby is on Mr. Choc. Drop unless this has changed? In any case A.K. has a good record on the horse. Good luck :cheers

Re: York (Ebor Festival - Day 4) - Friday 20th August Amazing Trotter, I have followed a good few of your tips recently and had a great win on the AW the other week. Decided to go to the gym about 2.50pm just before your post..............possibly the most expensively bad decision I have made in a long time :cryI am absolutely gutted but very very well done. I hope you had a raft of cash on it. Superb stuff :clap:clap:clap

Re: Best bet of the day 9th Aug
Well done on the place :clap' date=' but very unlucky not to get the win! Poor ride imo.[/quote'] I backed BookiesIndex E/W in the knowledge that he doesn't really respond to the whip. Travels well though. Good shout on the place.:cheers
