  1. Re: Tennis: 2-8 August

Sorana Cirstea (ROU' date= #63) to beat Petra Kvitova (CZE, #31) 2.66 at local bookie (5/10) 20 yrs old SoranaCirstea meets today 20 yrs old left handed Petra Kvitova in Copenhagen. Petra made a huge appearance in Wimbledon this year, where she lost in semi with Serena Williams. Since then, however, she is struggling - she lost in the 1st round in all tournaments on hard she played after Wimbledon: in Portoroz with Voegele 5:7 2:6 and in Istanbul last week with Sevastova in a weird three setter 2:6 6:0 4:6. Sorana had two weeks off after Budapest (clay) where she lost in the 1st round with inconsistent Ondraskova, and just had a quite successful week in Istanbul, where she reached QF aftear beating Larsson (finalist from Portoroz), and lost with the ultimate tournament winner Pavlyuschenkova. H2H this year is 1:0 for Petra that beat Sorana in the 1st round in Wimbledon on grass. But my opinion is that Sorana has now better form on hard and certainly has a chance to beat Kvitova. I go with nice odds.
    Very Good Job Mate! :beer
  2. Re: Cycling: Le Tour de France 3-25th of July

Tomorrow is indeed perfect for a break and a stage I look forward to much more than today's. One last one, but overall a quiet betting day. Farrar top 3 finish @ 3 Sportingbet Tyler Farrar has only really contested one sprint since his injury, and that was while riding with it. On that day he came 2nd and the comments he has made suggest he is able to produce the effort and compete in the sprint. He has also said that he expects to resume his role as the team's main sprinter and with today likely to be the only bunch sprint, he can afford to give it his all.
He did it again! :cheers I don't know what Renshaw was doing there... :(. It seemed to be an ABC stage.

I am already on Sanchez. If the break fails he will win over 50% of the time from contender's group. Nobody can descend like him (except Cancellara and Hushovd). Moreau will for sure try again, but I wonder if Ruben Plaza is a better choice. He looked comfortable on the final climb and came in ahead of Luis Leon. Can't see the peleton letting Armstrong go. It's Lance, and nobody will give him an inch. Of course, he can't get back into this race, but then Chavanel was never going to keep yellow, yet look how Quickstep acted. Besides, everyone will remember what Floyd Landis did. Sure, it was a result of doping, but the fear will stop the peleton from allowing Lance to go. Personally I am hoping that they will unleash their in form, out of contention climber, Jani Brajkovic. Two other men to look out for are Linus Gerdemann and Vladimir Karpets. Both are reasonable climbers and lost over 20mins the other day, so will be looking for a move soon. There aren't many riders who can climb better than these two that would be allowed in a break. They are also very aggressive riders and attack a lot, often at times when it is sheer stupidity to do so. Fedrigo, probably he will attack, but I hope it is Pierre Rolland. He is a strong climber and is now far down on GC, so that is clearly not his ambition anymore.
I hear a lot of good analysing but what are your bets so far? :drums
  4. Re: Cycling: Le Tour de France 3-25th of July Stage 4. It will be a classical sprint race. An early demarrage, which would be caught up at 5-10 km before the finish line. Cavandish and Hushovd have their eyes on green jersey, and want to perform well early in the Tour to get maximum points. It will be a classic battle between these two powerhouses. I dont think others have a real good chance¨to win a sprint. Lets be honost Petachi was quite lucky with winning stage 1. 2.26 Cavandish betfair 6 pt. 8.4 Hushovd betfair 2 pt. GL :ok
