Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series I work as a manager in credit department in a small public sector bank in India..

Re: Cricket: Asia Cup Oh. in the excitement of WC, I even missed the Pakistan vs Bangladesh game. Over to another yawnfest between SL and India.. Couple of bets for me Match betting at Will Hill My tip: 4 pts on India @ 2.00 Reason: Do not compare this Indian team with the one that toured Zimbabwe. This team has some canny bowlers in Zaheer and Bhajji and some solid batsman in Gambhir and Dhoni. Even in the absence of Sehwag, this team is more than handful for the Lankans.. At evens, I am going in for India. Top Indian batsman at Will Hill My tip: 1 pt on Virat Kohli @ 6.00 Reason: With Sehwag out, the pressure will be on openers. Gambhir has delivered so far, but he has not looked fluent. Kohli on the other hand has looked fluent but not delivered so far. IMHO He is a much better batsman than current crop like Sharma, Raina and Kartik and is a good bet to top score. Player performance (Harbhajan Singh) at Bet365 My tip: 2 pts on 32 & over @ 1.83 Reason: Bhajji is a canny bowler and he bowls at the death. This gives him a good chance of taking more than 1 wicket when batsman look to slog. Moreover, his batting has given me enough confidence that he can make up with the bat even if he doesnt take too many wickets. Player performance (Mahela Jayawardene) at Bet365 My tip: 2 pts on 30 & over @ 1.83 Reason: Jayawardene loves batting against India and this gives me reason to pick him. Moreover, he is usually fields in catching positions, so 1 or 2 catches can't be ruled out..

Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series congrats again.. so ani.. wat do you do apart frm occasional gambling..
-
Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series good call in selling gayle... it looks like spread betting can be very interesting.. i ll try my hand at it too...
-
Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series Gayle looking good mate.. good luck.. hope he scores a double or even triple... :ok
-
Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series that dear friends is the reason for not betting bfore reading kevshat's analysis.. lost 2 pts due to an awful WI opener named Dowlin. :wall
-
Re: Cricket: Asia Cup thnx for the encouragement kevshat... missing out on ur solid pics on Asia Cup though...
-
Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series i dont have an account with sporting index but i would recommend a buy on chanderpaul as soon as he comes to bat.. he was the mainstay during the ODIs and missed out on the first test.. but with flat track and short boundaries, he might get a big one..
-
Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series good call with that SA score Ani.. unlucky with Amla runs though as I too believed he would score a big one on this flat track..

Re: Cricket: Asia Cup Not a good day for me... Shoaib Malik looked good but could not stay on for long enough to top the innings and Butt managed to top score.. so lost that one Mohammed Aamer troubled Sehwag and he swung and missed 5-6 times but could not produce the edge.. in fact he could not take a single wicket.. so missed that one too.. Kamran Akmal played a blinder to manage a single win for me... Loss for the day: 2.51 pts.. Profit for the tournament comes down to 2.01 pts.. Suddenly cricket seems more uncertain than I had predicted. .

Re: Cricket: Asia Cup Now's the big one India vs. Pakistan My 3 pics Top away batsman 2 pts. Shoaib Malik @ 6.50 at Will Hill Reason: Malik has come under much criticism recently. But with a fragile top order, I can see Malik taking responsibility to guide Pakistan. He has historically done well against India. Even Butt has a great record against India, but at 6.50, I am going with Shoaib Malik Player Performances (1 run = 1 pt., 1 catch/stumping = 10 pts., 1 wicket = 20 pts.) 3 pts. Kamran Akmal (37 & over) @ 1.83 at Bet365 With the kind of pace battery Pakistan has, I think Akmal can take a few catches in addition to useful runs he can score.. So I am going with it. 3 pts. Mohammed Aamer (40 & over) @ 2.00 at Bet365 If my memory serves me right, India has not faced him yet. He can rattle some of the right handers in the Indian top order especially Sehwag and Rohit Sharma who have problems with left arm medium pacers. Moreover, he is a handy lower order batsman too. So, going with him

Re: Cricket: West Indies vs South Africa - Test Series I bet myself on the opening partnership (WI to have highest opening partnership) for the following reason before reading this post Return of Roach: Alviro petersen does not impress me much, i expect roach to snare petersen early. But ur solid analysis has made created a doubt in my mind, now keeping fingers crossed

Re: Cricket: Asia Cup One prediction got awry.. I dont knw what is the role of Samaraweera in SL side. He averages over 50 in tests and still he is not given a chance to bat. Still the other bet saved me. Profit for the day 1.32, profit for the tournament a meagre 4.52. Need to improve..
-
Re: Cricket: Asia Cup 3rd match today (SL vs Bang) 2 tips for the day at Will Hill Top Home Batsman My tip: 2 pts. Thilan Samaraweera @ 7.0 Reason: Bangladesh have made a habit of putting early pressure and then letting it go. So I expect a couple of SL wickets to fall early and then Samaraweera to bail them out. Samaraweera is a decent batsman at putting away a mediocre Bangladesh attack. Total Match Boundaries My tip: 4 pts Over 41.5 @ 1.83 (only if SL bat first) Reason: Will Hill closes total markets just before the start of innings. This gives me approx 5 min to place the bet after toss. So, if SL bat first, I can see them putting up a decent total of over 270, which will cover at least 30 boundaries, leaving Bangladesh little to do.

Re: Cricket: England vs Australia - ODI Series (plus Ireland & Scotland games) thanks Ani for explanation.. Congrats on your Paine Call...

Re: Cricket: England vs Australia - ODI Series (plus Ireland & Scotland games) ok i got an idea of the spread betting system by going through training academy. But I want to ask existing users whether it offers decent potential to make money??? What are the pros and cons in their opinion?
-
Re: Cricket: England vs Australia - ODI Series (plus Ireland & Scotland games) I may sound naive but how does this buying and selling works @ Sportingindex
-
Re: Cricket: Asia Cup Again I win 1 and lose 1. Tamim had a role to play in both. Earlier he hit the only six in the Bangladesh's innings which could not be overtaken by a dull Indian batting performance. Later, he spilled an easy chance of Gambhir to allow him to top score easily. Total profit for day = 3.00 pts, for the tournament = 3.20 pts.

Re: Cricket: Asia Cup Hi Ani.. whr r u frm?? I m frm Pune.
-
Re: Cricket: Asia Cup Off to second match.. My pics from Will Hill Bang vs. India (Top Away Batsman) My pic: 2 pts. for Gautam Gambhir @ 4.50 Reason: It is a pitch where you have to graft for runs (unless you are an Afridi). Unless Sehwag has a very good day, I can see Gauti scoring lots of runs Bang vs. Inda (Most sixes) My pic: 4 pts for India @ 1.67 Reason: India has all the big hitters which in my opinion will cover the spread comfortably. Except Tamim Iqbal, I haven't seen other Bangladeshi batsmen hit big sixes. So, the big boundaries at Dambulla will favour the likes of Sehwag, Dhoni and Raina.
-
Re: Cricket: Asia Cup What to say?? Afridi must be gutted after he hobbled and limbed to get Pakistan so close.. So, I win one and lose one, gaining a net profit of a meagre 0.20 pts.
-
Re: Cricket: Asia Cup already fifth wkt down and the bet is priced at 2.10 now..
-
Re: Cricket: Asia Cup An in-play tip for today's match.. My tip: Pakistan @ 2.50 With Jayawardene gone and score at 150/4, I think the inexperienced middle order will find it tough to negotiate Pakis fast bowlers. Moreover, SL bowling looks brittle and won't get the same help as they get in Colombo. Expect SL to score around 250-260 and Pakistan to chase it down..

Re: Cricket: Asia Cup another poor day for me.. maharoof's hat trick sank India just when it looked like they could post a good total. Virat Kohli failed with the bat again and Harbhajan Singh was surprisingly rested.. So two bets lost and one void. Only saving grace was Mahela Jayawardene who covered his spread comfortably. Loss for the day: 3.33 pts, Loss for the tournament: 1.32 pts.. Over to final now.
