  1. Re: Heineken cup went with wasps and dragons 1-12 double willhill. absolutely disgusted with myself though- didnt get the 50 quid double down on perp and leicester to beat the handicaps (-14, -31) - i assumed the games were on at 1330 like yesterday....bloody things started at 1300. Very very bad from me, not happy.

  2. Re: Heineken cup Hi DB, well played yesterday man, had some success myself, mainly bet the margins with ppower, willhill and stanjames myself. Had a nice double northampton and cardiff 1-12 points in willhill. anyhow, my bets for tomorrow are a double leicester and perpignan to beat the handicaps, they both need to get a maximum to qualify from what i can see. Im confident on leicester, and to be honest, perpignan wont take any chances with the scarlets, with the outside possibility of scarlets getting through. Early lead for perpignan and they scarlets'll wilt is how i see it i'm undecided on wasps game. 1-12 for 12/5 is a big price in william hill. THe one thing that has me looking at it is thatwasps have a good home record, and, what could be crucial, kelleher is still out and theyve some nipper in there. Couple with the fact they were battered by stade away last week, i think i might have a punt on that wasps price/ How do you feel about that SH issue? Plus toulouse have guaranteed qualified and they won it last year and they mightnt be as hungry (no bonus v dragons last week) and they only need a losing bonus for a home QF etc etc etc. ! On the dragons game, ill be taking 1-12 8/5 dragons. Bottom line is, these two know each other very very well, everyone's putting their hand's up for for national squad selection (mainly the welsh players as glasgow and edinburgh are all the scots have bar a few outside players). I wouldnt be surprised if the dragons went 13+, but id hope familiarity will keep it tight and home advantage winning out. ANy thoughts on that wasps game in light of what i said?

  3. Re: Snooker: UK Championships

Global snooker is probably the best site out there and you can follow live scoring, but i don't think there is anything on there that will tell you the break sizes untill the game has finished. You could watch the live scoring console but no one in there right mind would want to do that. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/ gives you live commentary in text and is the best i can find. Back in the day before digital, ceefax done the job with live scoring including break sizes so that could still be apossible option for you?:unsure 5 so far mate but would have been more had Murphy not hit a red in when going into the pack of the blue, and Robertson refusing take a black on when sitting on 40.
he was probably right not to touch that black though, positionallyt fooked as he was. whats your reckoning on how the game will go later Broon?
  4. Re: Snooker: UK Championships how does everyone see the MUrphy robertson game going later? Always loved snooker but only really recently betting on it. Backed Murphy earlier, and thinking of trading out , but as far as i can tell hes playing better snooker that RObertson right now. ANyone any thoughts on how the game will go this evening? Murphy currently 2.24 with roberston favourite, based on ranking i suppose

  5. Re: Rugby Union 29th-31st fairly obvious they f**ked up, and yes these things happen. Do you always state the obvious? i was pissed off i missed a chunk of cash. Their scrum was on the up and up in the second half, and bobo somehow managed to drop an easy pass for a run in on 70 mins. How exacty was i kidding myself?????? not thta im arsed knowing....so its grand, honestly...

  6. Re: Rugby Union 29th-31st AAARRRGHHH! won the double on the trixie, when i saw bobo on the right about to run in for a try i was sure i was on for the guts of 7 hundred quid. and somehow he smacked the ball up in the air for the pass, which was fine!! Muppet cost me a fotune!! Then they have a 5 metre penalty with no time to go, their scrum has dominated throughout, the penalty right in the middle of the pitch, they score a try and they win and WHAT DO THEY DO, kick for a draw!!! Unbelieveable, despite the win, im fookin sickened!! :spank

  7. Re: Rugby Union 29th-31st Hi nigel, agreed on Racing, but ill be doing 1-10, 2/1 munster 1-10 same ladbrokes, 5/2 , better back line, better kickers, and trimles been scoring all of ulsters points and hes out scarlets 1-10. Glasgo are good to hang on, i almost went with them on this game too, but depite jones being out, i see them edging this, 15/8 ladbrokes. Id be on william hill as usual, but their 1-12 for munster is 9/4 and racing is 21/20, so im going with the bigger price/margin tradeoff here. 10 euro trixie for me. ive also been onto customer services in stan james and willhill as to why they had no margins last week (dunno if you saw my rant, mbut i missed out on the guts of 700 quid). Betpack, have said that stan james do all their online stuff, and stan james wont tell me why they stopped it. I think its because all the games were tunning so close over there. This is seen in the price on rracing 1-12 tonight at 21/20, which is pure shite. they must have both been taking a pummelling by someone.

  8. Re: Rugby Union 22nd-24th congrats nigel well lads, im actually sick as a dog. won a bit today, lost more, down about 60 for the weekend, but spent an hour and a half lookin over the top 14 last night, picked out three games, filled all my sheets in and came out with toulouse, stade and biarritz to win by 1-12 points. went to look at the bookies this morning, and NOT ONE F**KING ONE OF THEM HAD MY WINNING MARGINS 1-12 POINTS. Not willhill, not stanjames, not betpack....didnt even think to do the 1-10's. My god, im gonna vomit, i always do a 40 euro trixie for france. Anyone any idea whatsoever why the bookies would have dodged AND 1-12's in France this weekend? Im genuinely nauseous

  9. Re: Rugby Union 22nd-24th howye nigel, cleaned up last weekend, but was very lucky on the big double i had, ospreys and whoever cardiff played by 1-12. anyway, not much time, but my picks for tonight are ulster 1-12 (missing one of the blairs, and no matter what way you loook at it, ulster are a better team, and 3.6 is value on betfair, 12/5 on hills is too. Edinburgh will be empty in the cold tonight and after last weeks loss. sarries, 1-12, (its pissing rain, and they badly need the win, shouldnt win by more) Leeds, same as above, form suggests a win is on the cards, Then, in a little tenner double, munster 21-30 and cardiff 11-20 Ive been contemplaying sticking cardiff 1-12 on a yankee for about 70 euro with the four picks above, but i cant bring myself to do it. THe fact that is a derby, and the fact that cardiff got very involved and roughed up last wek, and its under lights and scarlets 'shouldnt' want to be beaten badly (the were battered more so than scarlets), tells me i should stick cardiff 1-12.Problem with llanelli is whether they have the heart if the chips are down. Like, you wouldnt put them up there with connacht for the sheer will to get one over on their neighbours... will make my mind up later on that.although with lamont as captain, and jones and others missing, if i had a gun to my head if say carditt 13+ at 5/4 or thereabouts. tough one this EDIT EDIT EDIT!!!**** Its pissing rain in cardiff according to bbc weather, 1-12 all the way this EDIT EDIT EDIT, going against the grain on munster, 1-12 is 3/1 or over in hills. With the rain that just went across the country, and the fact munster mih have a euro intensity hangover, ive decided to have a punt here with the odds available. Deasy mightnt ave the best of games best of luck all.

  10. Re: Rugby Union: Heineken Cup & Amlin Challenge 14th-17th

    Montpellier32 - 8 (9 - 8) Newcastle
:nanaFirst one of the weekend goes in! I have watched the odds tumble on this result all day, from 4/9 (1/2 in some places) down to 1/5, not sure how much the bookies would have lost but they certainly got this one wrong! I was sweating & swearing in equal measures for the last 10 minutes, as I had the correct winning margin after 70 mins, but with only two points to spare! :beer I hope there was plenty of you on this one!
    go some too mate, 2.6 13+ on betfair earlier-class prevailed.went into 11/10,lower than hills,b4 kickoff.nice 50 quid won :beer
  11. Re: Rugby Union-Heineken Cup & Amlin Challenge Howye nigel, havent been on posting, but its been an ok wkend so far. Got let down Friday by Northampton- had the double ulster 21-30 and Nthampton 11-20. Couldnt believe reihana missing all those penalties, f**ker cost me 400 quid! anyway, had a single leinster yesterday, 11-20 ( paid for my ticket! ) and was sickened, cos i didnt have time to go to willhill and do the quadruple 1-12 i had intended, but got 1-10 trixie on toulon, cardiff and scarlets , so made out there! :cow happy days. (although i would have made a fortune had i got up earlyenough to put Leicester on that aswell 1-12 in hills (didnt fancy them for 1-10 for some reason....) ANYWAY, apologies all for the stream of conciousness- Biarritz 1-12 today 7/2, pure value that, stuck 20 quid on betfair. Bath aint all that, Biaitz finding form, and one french team has to get something away from home surely!

  12. Re: Rugby Union-Heineken Cup & Amlin Challenge Howye Nigel- disagree on a few of your comments above but agree on most. I do think Ulser will come out of that group though, and ill be lumping on before tomorrows game. Anyway, tongiht, Newcastle v Bourgoin. Its sunny in Newcastle, it's not their full team, and they had a tough game on saturday. Obviously Newcastle have to try stay in the premiership, and in general, theyre pretty shit. Bourgoin also resting players, but they have pedigree, they have dryness on the field, and they'll have a go. Ive never rated Manning one bit to be honest, except when he did a dance for Munster against NZealand 2 years ago at Thomond park haha:D, and he's at 10 tonight. Bourgoin are playing some regulars and had a good solid win against Brive last weekend. This is all about value for me, Hills have Bourgoin 1-12 at 4/1. Betfair im seeing 6.4 and im gonna take it. Betpack.com have 11/2. And to me its worth a tenner or 15 quid. I reckon the quality of the TOP 14 is a good bit above the GP, so for that reason im going Bourgoin 1-12. I dont expect this to win, but it's worth the risk no doubt about it with those odds.

  13. Re: Rugby Union 24th-26th September lads as i said, im really stuck for time this weekend, so no big write up- going for three weekend wins in a row now, here's hoping- so, leinster and munster win by 1-12 points, best on Betpack, but willhill the most pactical for most people i think. also, treviso, toulon , Dragons also win by 1-12 points in their games. great odds on treviso at willhill Leinster, cos they have to win, and even without sexton, they should eek it out and you have to go for them on class alone, and edinburghs poor form munster, mafi back, so despite injuries theyre so much stronger than glasgow, and form wise, its a no brainer. interestingly a couple of places have the 13+ priced higher than the 1-12! Toulon- wilko on fire, bourgoin backlash anticipated but theyre captainless, and a few locks injured, or not 100%. After the game v clermont, id say toulon wont go to town here, but should have the boot of wilko to see them home. plus, theyre looking fantastic at the moment. dont like the 13+ only because they should be tired. Treviso- well, even though leinster were bad, treviso were really good! they have a couple of serious backs, and an animal in the backrow (cant remember his name right now). Cardiff resting players too, so chance of a home win at 13/5 hills, worth sticking on my acca Dragon- well, scarlets defence is awful, and my main reason is these derbys are usually tight and go to the home team, sim ple as, Dragons really need some points, and their captain is back too. Could go wither way, but at 2/1 im taking it. best of luck all, hopefully more badly needed cash made this weekend :ok
