  1. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 14-16 January Liverpool v Stoke City Defender Jose Enrique is set to return to Liverpool's starting line-up for Saturday's visit of Stoke in the Premier League. The Spaniard was left out for tactical reasons in the Carling Cup semi-final first leg win over Manchester City but is likely to return. Midfielder Jay Spearing sustained a minor hamstring injury in midweek and that is likely to allow Charlie Adam to regain his place. Stoke manager Tony Pulis has concerns over a number of players ahead of Saturday's trip to Anfield. Defenders Jonathan Woodgate, Marc Wilson and Ryan Shotton are all nursing what Pulis describes as "niggles" and will be assessed. Andy Wilkinson could return at the back having overcome his recent knee injury, while the likes of goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen, winger Matthew Etherington and striker Peter Crouch are set to be restored to the team after they were rested for last weekend's FA Cup victory at Gillingham. Stoke scored from their only shot on target (a penalty) in their 1-0 win over the Reds who failed to score with any other seven shots on target. Stoke have lost just one of their last eight Premier League games (W5 D2 L1). There have been just 11 goals scored in the seven Premier League games between Liverpool and Stoke. The Potters have failed to score in their three Premier League trips to Anfield and have netted just once in their last 10 away games against Liverpool. Stoke have never won away in the top flight against Liverpool in 48 attempts (W0 D9 L39), the most winless games by one team at the home of another in top flight history. Liverpool have lost just two of their last 15 Premier League games (W7 D6 L2). The Reds are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League matches at Anfield (W4 D6), but have drawn five of their last seven.

  2. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 14-16 January Chelsea v Sunderland Florent Malouda is doubtful for Chelsea's Barclays Premier League game against Sunderland. The winger picked up a knock in Sunday's FA Cup win over Portsmouth and failed to train on Wednesday or Thursday. Daniel Sturridge and John Terry have both been passed fit but the game comes a week too soon for Michael Essien (knee), Branislav Ivanovic and John Obi Mikel (both hamstring), while Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou are on African Nations Cup duty. If Chelsea can complete the signing of Gary Cahill he will not be eligible for the fixture, with the club having missed the player registration deadline. Nicklas Bendtner could return to the Sunderland squad at the weekend. The Denmark international missed the FA Cup third-round victory over Peterborough because of a knee injury, but is expected to be available for the game at Stamford Bridge. If so, he will be joined in the squad by fellow frontman Fraizer Campbell, who is available for the first time since August 2010 after recovering from a second serious knee problem, but Jack Colback (ankle), Wes Brown (groin) and Titus Bramble (calf/Achilles) remain on the casualty list. Chelsea have won 13 of the last 14 Premier League meetings against Sunderland (W13 L1).

  3. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 14-16 January West Brom v Norwich West Brom head coach Roy Hodgson will check on the fitness of six first-team regulars before naming his side for the home Barclays Premier League clash with Norwich. Hodgson has to assess the chances of centre-backs Gareth McAuley and Jonas Olsson (both calf), winger Jerome Thomas (groin), midfielders Paul Scharner (Achilles) and Youssouf Mulumbu (groin) plus striker Shane Long (back) being available. Skipper Chris Brunt (fractured ankle), fellow midfielder Zoltan Gera (knee) and defender Steven Reid (ankle and knee) are definitely ruled out. Goalkeeper John Ruddy returns to the Norwich squad after missing the FA Cup win against Burnley after his partner gave birth to a daughter. Full-back Marc Tierney is back in training after recovering from a groin injury. On-loan Manchester United defender Ritchie De Laet (back) is still out. Centre-forward James Vaughan and defender Elliott Ward (both knee) are still several weeks from returning. West Brom have won their last four league matches against Norwich City.

  4. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 14-16 January Striker Robbie Keane is in contention to make his Aston Villa debut - subject to obtaining international clearance - in Saturday's home Premier League clash with Everton. The Los Angeles Galaxy player, who has joined Villa on a two-month loan, will replace Achilles injury victim Emile Heskey - sidelined for a month - in the squad. Goalkeeper Shay Given is available after a six week lay-off with a hamstring problem but defender Carlos Cuellar (thigh) and midfielder Chris Herd (ankle) are still ruled out. New signing Darron Gibson goes straight into Everton's squad for Saturday's match at Villa Park. The midfielder was registered in time to be eligible after his move from Manchester United. A hamstring injury to Sylvain Distin leaves manager David Moyes with more problems at centre-back as Phil Jagielka is still sidelined by a knee problem, which could mean a start for Shane Duffy, who only made his first league appearance as a substitute in the midweek defeat at Tottenham. Aston Villa have failed to score in six of their last nine Premier League games. Five of the last six meetings between Aston Villa and Everton have ended as draws. Aston Villa have lost none of the last 11 matches against Everton (W4 D7 L0).

  5. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifiers > 7-8 October

Armenia vs Macedonia Pick: 1 Armenia is a strong favorite against Macedonia. There are many reasons for that. First of all, the home advantage. This match will be played in Yerevan, the tickets are already sold and it is clear the fans will give a great support to their players. Next, the motivation factor. Macedonia have no chance for something more in the group B. No matter how the last two games will finished, Macedonia will stay on the fifth position. On contrary, Armenia have historical chance to reach one of the first two places. So, the whole motivation will be on the home side. Next, Macedonia is playing poor. They have a problem to win even against poorest side in the group Andorra (last month Macedonia won in Skopje, but the final score was only 1:0), not to speak about some stronger team. Finally, the most important reason. Macedonia will be missing three players. One of them is Goran Pandev, the key player in the national team. Pandev is injured and won't travel to Armenia. Ibraimi and Tasevski will also be missing the game due to different reasons (first one is injured, the second one refused to play), but the absence of Pandev is crucial. So, Armenia should win here.
I agree with this tip.I m from Macedonia and we will lost this game. This is good pick ARMENIA TO WIN :ok
  6. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 1-2 October Tottanham V Arsenal Over 4,5 There were 16 goals scored in the three meetings between Arsenal and Tottenham last season and four penalties netted. Robin van Persie has scored four goals in his last four Premier League starts against Spurs. Rafael van der Vaart has scored three goals in his two Premier League appearances against the Gunners. Gareth Bale has scored three goals in the Premier League against Arsenal, more than versus any other opponent.

  7. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 1-2 October Bolton v Chelsea CHELSEA WIN Bolton manager Owen Coyle faces further selection issues ahead of his side's clash with Chelsea at the Reebok Stadium on Sunday. Coyle is already without a number of long-term injured, with the casualty list compounded this week when it was announced midfielder Stuart Holden faces another six months on the sidelines with a knee problem. To add to his woes, on-loan Gael Kakuta is ineligible as he cannot face his parent club, David Wheater and Ivan Klasnic are suspended, and goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen is doubtful with a leg knock. Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 15 Premier League games against Bolton (W12 D3 L0) with the Blues winning the last six in a row and not conceding in the last four. Bolton have lost the last eight Premier League games in a row at the Reebok versus Chelsea, the longest losing run of any team at home to a single opponent. Bolton haven’t scored in that eight game run and hold the record for the longest run of home games against a single opponent without scoring in Premier League history. Bolton have lost their last five home matches, their longest run in the history of top flight football. Oddly, before this run, they won five matches in a row at the Reebok Stadium. Nicolas Anelka has scored five goals in his last eight Premier League games against Bolton. Didier Drogba has scored five goals in his last six appearances against Bolton in all competitions and in his last two games at the Reebok Stadium. Chelsea have won just one of their last five Premier League away games (W1 D1 L3). Bolton have lost 10 of their last 11 Premier League matches. The Trotters have drawn just one of their last 22 Premier League matches. Chelsea have drawn only one of their last 19 Premier League visits to play north west clubs. BOLTON J. Jääskeläinen,D. 8. Re: Italia Serie A second round Napoli v Milan Home team scored one or more goals Champions AC Milan have been hit by a rash of injuries ahead of Sunday's late game at Napoli. Along with Gennaro Gattuso, Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic being out, midfielders Kevin-Prince Boateng and Massimo Ambrosini suffered side and back strains in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Barcelona in the Champions League. Napoli, may well have to do without talismanic Argentine striker Ezequiel Lavezzi who has a heel injury. But here is Goran Pandev to replace Ezequiel Lavezzi, and Pandev is very good player AC Milan are unbeaten in the last six Serie A meetings with Napoli (three wins for the Rossoneri and three draws). The Partenipei have managed to beat AC Milan only once in their last 16 league encounters, 3-1 at the San Paolo back in 2008. AC Milan have won more Serie A games at the home of Napoli than any other side (22 times). Napoli have scored in each of their last 11 Serie A fixtures – currently the longest streak in the competition. AC Milan are unbeaten in their last nine Serie A games, however they have been held to a draw in three of the last four. The Rossoneri have suffered only one defeat in 2011, at Palermo last March (1-0). Massimiliano Allegri’s side collected 39 points away from home last season, at least nine more than any other Serie A side. AC Milan won seven of the nine league games they played without Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season (78%); with Ibra on the pitch their win percentage was 59%. Antonio Cassano was caught offside more than any other Serie A player on the opening match-day (four times). Allegri is currently unbeaten against Walter Mazzarri in Serie A: three wins for the Rossoneri manager and two draws.

  9. Re: Italia Serie A second round

Nice post! I agree with you here and will be backing Juventus to win today. The other bet i like the look of is over 2.5 in the Atalanta vs Sampdoria game @ evens which looks good value. Both teams play attacking football whilst they seem shaky at the back.
    I think you like to say ATALANTA VS PALERMO :) Here is the last 5 games of bouth team ATALANTA’S LAST 5 RESULTS Serie A Sunday September 11, 2011 Genoa 2 - 2 Atalanta Coppa Italia Sunday August 21, 2011 Atalanta 3 - 4 Gubbio Serie B Sunday May 29, 2011 Grosseto 1 - 1 Atalanta Serie B Saturday May 21, 2011 Atalanta 2 - 2 Cittadella Serie B Monday May 16, 2011 AlbinoLeffe 2 - 3 Atalanta PALERMO’S LAST 5 RESULTS Serie A Sunday September 11, 2011 Palermo 4 - 3 Internazionale Europa League Thursday August 4, 2011 FC Thun 1 - 1 Palermo Europa League Thursday July 28, 2011 Palermo 2 - 2 FC Thun Coppa Italia Sunday May 29, 2011 Internazionale 3 - 1 Palermo Serie A Sunday May 22, 2011 Palermo 1 - 3 Chievo And i think that you may bet that this game will go OVER 2,5
  10. Re: Italia Serie A second round Siena v Juventus JUVENTUS WIN Siena are without striker Reginaldo and defender Gabriele Angella due to fitness concerns. Juve's summer signing Mirko Vucinic has recovered from his ankle problem that kept him from starting against Parma last weekend. Vincenzo Iaquinta, Luca Toni, Amauri and Fabio Quagliarella are all also pushing for starts up front, but after the 4-1 win last time out, displacing Alessandro del Piero and Alessandro Matri will not be easy. Siena claimed the most points (49) and scored the most goals (45) at home in the last Serie B campaign. Juventus conceded only 16 goals away from home last season, only AC Milan (12) had a better record in Serie A. Juventus have won 10 of the 12 games played against Siena so far in the top-flight, losing only once in May 2008; the last meeting ended in a 3-3 draw. Siena have only scored one goal in six home Serie A meetings with the Old Lady so far. Juve conceded only one goal in their last four games on the road last season. 5 minutes and 38 second were enough for Arturo Vidal to score his first Serie A goal after coming on from the bench on his debut for Juventus against Parma. Juve recorded the highest ball possession of the opening match-day of Serie a (65.9%). Andrea Pirlo made (109) and completed (96) more passes than any other player in the first round of this competition, and also made two assists.

  11. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 17-18 September Manchester United v Chelsea HOME WIN and OVER 2,5 :ok Chelsea will once again be without Didier Drogba. The striker will not be risked at Old Trafford three weeks after his sickening head injury, meaning manager Andre Villas-Boas must decide whether to start Fernando Torres or Nicolas Anelka. Ramires returns after being suspended for Tuesday's Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen while goalkeeping understudies Hilario and Ross Turnbull are both carrying knocks, although one will be on the bench. Sir Alex Ferguson has reported no fresh injury concerns. Nemanja Vidic (calf), Tom Cleverley (foot) and Rafael (shoulder) remain sidelined, whilst Danny Welbeck (hamstring) is not expected to be available until next week. Changes are anticipated though, with Ferguson expected to recall many of the players who were left out of his starting line-up for the midweek Champions League draw with Benfica. Javier Hernandez scored in three of his five appearances in all competitions against Chelsea last season. The last three Premier League meetings between Chelsea and Man Utd all ended 2-1 as did the last meeting in the Champions League. United won four of the five meetings with Chelsea in all competitions last season. Man Utd have scored more goals after four Premier League matches than any other team in Premier League history. Man Utd have scored with 30% of their shots so far this season (roughly one in three) compared to the Premier League average of 11% (one in nine). Chelsea have won five times at Old Trafford in the Premier League era, more often than any other team. Man Utd have averaged fewer points per game at home against Chelsea than against any other opponent (1.47) and are the only team they have a lower than 50% win percentage against (37%). Man Utd have scored in their last 32 consecutive matches at Old Trafford in the Premier League, winning 30 and losing just one of those matches. The solitary defeat was against Chelsea in April 2010. Wayne Rooney has scored nine goals in his last five Premier League starts. Ashley Young has a joint-high four goal assists in the Premier league this season. Man Utd have set a new Premier League record of 17 consecutive home wins.

  12. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 17-18 September Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool OVER 2,5 Harry Redknapp will revert to his first-choice XI after resting a number of key players for clash at PAOK Salonika. Rafael van der Vaart (hamstring), Aaron Lennon (groin) and William Gallas (calf) are making good progress in their recovery from injury and could play some part. Steven Pienaar (groin), Tom Huddlestone (ankle) and Ledley King (knee) face fitness tests but Michael Dawson (Achilles) is out and Sandro (knee) is unlikely to be risked despite returning to light training following a knee injury. Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson will miss the match at White Hart Lane after a recurrence of a hamstring injury last weekend. Captain Steven Gerrard is nearing a return to fitness after six months out following a groin operation but he may not be risked. Defender Martin Kelly is also close to a recall after coming back from a hamstring injury. Since taking over, Harry Redknapp has overseen five wins in seven games in all competitions for Spurs against Liverpool. There has been a penalty awarded in each of the last four Premier League matches between Tottenham and Liverpool. Jamie Carragher has scored the same number of Premier League goals for Liverpool as he has for Tottenham (3). Defeat last time out against Manchester City ended a run of 17 Premier League home games without a loss for Spurs, but they have won just one of their last five at White Hart Lane. Spurs have conceded as many goals (14) in their last six home matches as they did in the previous 25 matches at White Hart Lane. Spurs have won the last three home games against Liverpool by a 2-1 scoreline and their previous victory back in January 2004 was also by that score. Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven Premier League matches. Liverpool have won 35 corners this term, more than any other team in the Premier League. The Reds have allowed their opponents the joint-fewest shots on target against them than any team in the Premier League (11). Tottenham have allowed their opponents more shots on target against them than any other side in the Premier League.

  13. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 17-18 September Sunderland v Stoke City HOME WIN 2.4 odds John O'Shea could return to bolster Sunderland's defence against Stoke on Sunday. The Republic of Ireland defender missed the defeat by Chelsea due to a calf strain but has returned to training. Nicklas Bendtner is likely lead the attack and Connor Wickham could make his first start. Craig Gordon, Fraizer Campbell and David Meyler (all knee) remain sidelined. Several Stoke squad members did not travel to Ukraine for this week's Europa League game against Dynamo Kiev, with record signing Peter Crouch staying at home as a precaution after missing training, and Matthew Etherington (back),Rory Delap (groin) and Marc Wilson (hamstring) also absent from the trip. That quartet and Jonathan Woodgate, who is not registered for the Potters' European campaign and has been working to shake off a minor injury, are among those that will be assessed, while goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is expected to return in place of Thomas Sorensen. None of the six Premier League meetings between Sunderland and Stoke has ended as an away win, with five wins and a draw for the home side. Stoke have had a player sent off in two of their three Premier League visits to the Stadium of Light. The Potters have failed to score in all three of their Premier League visits to the Stadium of Light. Sunderland have won just three of their last 18 Premier League matches. The Black Cats have lost eight and won one of their last nine Premier League matches at the Stadium of Light. It is 10 games at the Stadium of Light without a clean sheet for Sunderland. Stoke’s win over West Brom at the end of August ended a run of 11 away matches without a win for The Potters in the Premier League. Stoke have only scored three goals in their last six Premier League matches. Stoke have fired in fewer shots on target than any other Premier League team this season (8). Stoke have recorded the lowest percentage cross completion in the Premier League this season (15%). :ok

  14. Re: UEFA Europa League > 15 September PAOK - Tottenham Pick home WIN 3,55 here some news way i pick this game Injured Spurs midfielder Rafael van der Vaart was left out of the group stage squad list, much to his chagrin, while Scott Parker, Emmanuel Adebayor, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale are rested, meaning Giovani dos Santos, Tom Carroll, Jake Livermore (pictured), Yago Falque and Andros Townsend will be given a chance to shine. Kyle Walker is the only player to travel who featured in the win at Wolves. Michael Dawson (Achilles) and Sandro (knee) are out.

  15. Re: UEFA Champions League > 13 September TEAM NEWS Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez will miss the clash after being ruled out for up to two months with a hamstring injury suffered in the club's 2-2 draw at Real Sociedad on Saturday. Gerard Pique has not been available since the Spanish Supercopa win over Real Madrid but Carles Puyol returned to the bench at the weekend. Former Barca striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not play due to an adductor injury. Midfielder Gennaro Gattuso limped out of the Lazio clash but is suspended in Europe for four games anyway following his headbutt of Tottenham assistant boss Joe Jordan last season. Philippe Mexes is also suspended and injured. Mark van Bommel was a doubt before the Lazio clash but came on for Gattuso and impressed. MANAGER QUOTES Pep Guardiola: "When we won in Rome, I said the same thing I will say now: we are not favourites because no-one has been able to win two titles in a row in the last 20 years. AC Milan have done it and no one has been able to repeat it during all this time, and this shows how difficult this competition is." Massimiliano Allegri: "We must pay Barcelona due respect and attention, but without fear. We must try to show our qualities ... Barcelona play in the same way. They are good technically and often matches are one-sided as they have great ball possession. But a moment's inattention can happen." MATCH FACTS Barcelona and AC Milan have met nine times previously in the European Cup/Champions League, with four wins for the Catalans, three for the Lombards and two draws. They famously met in the 1994 Champions League final, with AC Milan running out 4-0 winners, still the last time the final has been decided by four or more goals. Barcelona have not failed to score in any of their last 21 Champions League games. The last side to stop them from finding the net were Rubin Kazan in November 2009. AC Milan have failed to score in their last three Champions League games – never before have they gone four games without a goal in European competition. AC Milan have won only two of their last 13 Champions League games, both against Auxerre. Since Pep Guardiola took over in 2008, Barcelona have scored the most goals in the competition (82 in 38 games) and have the best passing accuracy (89.2%). Lionel Messi has been the outright top scorer in each of the last three editions of the Champions League: he netted nine goals in 2008/09, eight in 2009/10 and 12 in 2010/11.

  16. Re: UEFA Champions League > 13 September TEAM NEWS Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey was left out of the squad after injuring his ankle in training. The 20-year-old Welshman was not in the 18-man squad after he limped out of training on Monday before the team's departure to Germany. Arsenal are not in the best of shape for Tuesday's encounter with manager Arsene Wenger starting the first game of his two-match touchline ban and injuries also keeping out key defender Thomas Vermaelen and midfielders Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky. Julian Koch has not played since tearing his knee ligament on February 25 and is not in Dortmund’s squad. Lucas Barrios hasn’t featured this season after tearing a thigh muscle while Marvin Bakalorz and Patrick Owomoyela look likely to miss out. MANAGER QUOTES Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on his side’s shaky victory over Swansea: "We started quite well, but the nerves took over and we played with the handbrake on. Confidence goes quickly, and comes back slowly, and for us to be in the situation we are in, we are not used to that. We need to put a few wins together." Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp on his side’s uninspiring first home defeat in 18 league games: “We can play much better than we did against Hertha and with a lot more creativity." MATCH FACTS Borussia Dortmund are making their first appearance in the Champions League since the 2002/03 season. Arsenal are making their 14th consecutive appearance in the Champions League, only Manchester Utd and Real Madrid are on a longer run. Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund met in the group stages of the Champions League in 2002/03, with Arsenal winning 2-0 at Highbury and losing 2-1 away. The Gunners have won their last five home games against German sides. Dortmund have won 15 of their 26 home Champions League games, losing only five times. Arsenal have won their last three encounters with German sides in the Champions League, including an away win against Hamburg back in September 2006. The Gunners have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 16 Champions League games away from home, their last shut-out dating back to March 2008 against AC Milan.

  17. Re: UEFA Champions League > 13 September

paun - I've moved your posts into here: http://forum.punterslounge.com/f59/possible-cl-line-ups-13-sep-121390/ Your previous starting line-ups have at times been pretty inaccurate, so please can you post them as possible line-ups in the future. Also, putting them all in one post and formatting it so that the players names are all on the same line would make them a lot less intrusive. Finally, can we have some reasoning to go with these picks please? It's what we do on PL. :ok
Do you see HastGill1 how you will speak with the new PL?Becouse i m new you will tell me where i make mistake to fix it, not to dellete all my post, or bether let they kick me, becouse i make one mistake
