  1. Re: World Cup Qualifiers - October 14/15 Andorra has done the same in the past...when they lose they give up... Malta play for a respectable loss...I took 1.75... It is now @1.50...Should Malta hold until HT I'll take my cover and just wait for the profit...even if they concede 5 late I still don't lose... that's the beauty of live betting...take advantage of the odd swings...

  2. Re: World Cup Qualifiers 10th October 2009 Sweden Denmark I've read some fairly ludicrous remarks on this match. There are 1-2 post from locals but none seems to have taken them into account...so here is another one... A draw is not good enough for Sweden vs Denmark. If Portugal win (not a certainty but still) they have San Marino in last round and they can score the goals needed to beat Sweden in goal difference for the 2nd spot. This is a must win game for Sweden...not that they will go all out attack but if you think that the game is draw at 80 and they will play out the draw you are CRAZY! Also consider the fact that if Sweden score...Denmark won't exactly go all out attack themselves...they will continue the same style of play and try for the equaliser...but you certaintly won't see a defender substituted for an attacker...they know that a loss by 1-0 might be bad but a loss with 2-0 probably catastrophic as the goal difference advantage vs Sweden will evaporate and they will be in serious trouble for top spot in the group. Under2.5 is the obvious way to go in this one...nordic derby...good defenses... but if I had to pick sides I would go with Sweden DNB...team morale is high...Ibrahimovic has had a good season and he feels happy...Henrik Larsson has had a resurgence of form...Denmark is a stone's throw from Sweden and all flights to Copenhagen have been fully booked for days (i know it because I couldn't find a ticket to go to Copenhagen for an event i was invited to there over the weekend)... It might end a draw but still the reasoning should be solid behind a pick... So proceed with caution...

  3. Re: Greek Super League 3-5/10

Panathinaikos-Larissa PAO to keep clean sheet @1.50 is the way to go
Panathinaikos-Larissa 4-0 FT :) Match started as expected with PAO ball possession...Larissa had the first chance on a counter attack but PAO gk made a good save. Rest of the half was pretty uneventful with both teams circulating the ball but no clear chances. At the end of 1st half PAO pressed from some set pieces, hit the post once and broke the deadlock in injury time. One would expect Larissa to play more offensively in the 2nd half but instead PAO boosted from the goal seized control of the match. Larissa never even got close to PAO goal until min 70. PAO was fortunate enough to score 2 successive goals at mins 66 and 70 (the first due to a bad outing by Larissa gk, the 2nd from another set piece) despite them lacking in creativity. That posed a threat to our bet as the match opened up a bit with a 3-0 scoreline. Larissa became more attacking for a while and hit the post with a long range effort at min 72. They missed a sitter at 76. But then the pressure died down, they gave up and conceded a 4th near the end. All in all a match that went as planned until mid 2nd half when PAO scored twice within 4mins...but all's well that ends well... PS. I feel like Larissa are on the verge of a good run...their league table position is not indicative of their quality as they had many players out due to injury and many new players that needed to be integrated to the team. Two important 1st team players came back today from injuries and two more experienced players will be back in the next couple of weeks...the break due to WC Qual is a blessing for them...i expect them to bring us some money when league play resumes...
  4. Re: Greek Super League 3-5/10 Xanthi-AEK 1-0 FT :) I didn't watch the match...just got home...from what I read from the live commentary AEK had 2 goals incorrectly disallowed in the 1st half and prob deserved sth more in this match. Second half Xanthi played their usual catenaccio football and came away with the 3 pts as AEK could only create two worthy chances in the last 45mins. The last came at the 90th minute with xanthi gk making an amazing save. Blanco once superleague top scorer (07-08) continues to waste goal chance after goal chance for AEK and that inability has cost them dearly so far...

Xanthi-AEK Under [email protected] should be a winner here considering style of play and offensive inability evident in past results...
  5. Re: Greek Super League 3-5/10 No important news for both matches... PAO might change a bit the line up esp in attack from previous matches but that doesn't have an impact as they have good players coming from the bench... Xanthi has 2 players out but they haven't been playing eye catching football so far so none of them will be a miss...they are not a team based on individuals... Spain seems to have f¤%d my system. I might put some extra on Xanthi-AEK under...

  6. Re: Greek Super League 3-5/10 I have a good bet for tomorrow... Xanthi-AEK Xanthi have always played good games against the top3 the past few years esp at home. The pitch in their home stadium is small, they have a tight defense and with the home support they create big problems for top clubs. This season however they haven't convinced so far but they have the same style of play, meaning tight defense and if we score 1 we win... Results so far Xanthi 1 - 1 PAS Giannina Panathinaikos 1 - 0 Xanthi Ergotelis 1 - 0 Xanthi Xanthi 1 - 0 Panthrakikos Aris 1 - 0 Xanthi AEK's win against Benfica has lifted team morale but that doesn't mean they have become any better as a team...Certainly they are a better team than Xanthi but they had big problems in past seasons playing away against them when they had a better team...AEK seems to have a bit of scoring problems also esp against tight defensive teams... Results so far... Atromitos 0 - 1 AEK AEK 1 - 0 Iraklis PAS Giannina 1 - 1 AEK AEK 1 - 2 Olympiakos Piraeus AEK 0 - 1 Panathinaikos Some h2h 08-11-2008 Super League Xanthi 1 - 1 AEK 28-10-2007 Super League Xanthi 0 - 1 AEK 10-12-2006 Super League Xanthi 0 - 0 AEK Under [email protected] should be a winner here considering style of play and offensive inability evident in past results... ...................................................... Panathinaikos-Larissa Larissa last year finished top5 but they have started their campaign poorly this season..They probably deserved a couple more points and soon they will kick start their season but I don't expect that to happen tomorrow vs Panathinaikos. PAO is on a roll and although they haven't exactly impressed with their performances they always seem to find the odd goal to get the 3pts and lead the league. However the team is not again prolific in scoring this season as has been the case in the past despite the addition of Cisse in the attack dept. If they don't solve this problem they will end up disappointed again I'm afraid...The odds on home win are laughable considering the home team's inability to consistently score more than 1 goal in a match. At some point they will pay...however they have been more stable defensively this year...at least domestically (4/5 clean sheets). Ergotelis 0 - 3 Panathinaikos Panathinaikos 1 - 0 Xanthi Panthrakikos 0 - 1 Panathinaikos Panathinaikos 2 - 1 Aris AEK 0 - 1 Panathinaikos Larissa has always had a problem when facing clubs of the top3 away and they have been handed hefty loses even in their good campaigns. I expect Larissa to have big problems scoring as the team has big creative problems right now and ball possession should be in the 60-40 65-35 dept in this one. Asteras Tripolis 0 - 0 Larissa Larissa 0 - 2 Olympiakos Piraeus Larissa 2 - 2 Atromitos Iraklis 2 - 1 Larissa Larissa 0 - 0 PAS Giannina No goals in 3/5 and more importantly no goals vs Olympiakos which is a team of PAO calibre. Results last 3 years have been 2-0 3-0 and 3-1 last season when Larissa finished 5th. But team rosters for Larissa have changed in a major way every season so not much to read into that I think... PAO to keep clean sheet @1.50 is the way to go ............................................................. I have personally played a system...3 doubles out of 3 picks. The two mentioned above and Spain to beat Italy in the U20 WC at odds of around 1.70. I have staked 10pts (out of 10) and the return is 3/3 about +14 2/3 roughly money back -1.5 1 or 0 -10

  7. Re: Ukrainian Premier 3-4/10

Don't think so Mozzi' date='not today. It will be intresting match.I hate Dnipro, they are so boring i just don't like the way they play football. Also today Seleznjov will want to prove Lucesku that he was wrong when sold him to Dnipro.Personaly i never rated Seleznjov as a good striker. He never scored many goals and never played sharp, would miss 100% chances all the time.I think Shakhtar will still win this one.Shakhtar have full squad available for this match.[/quote'] Seleznjov just made it 2-1 for Dnipro... ;)
  8. Re: Greek Super League 3-5/10 Aris has traveled to Thrace for the match with a depleted squad. 5 players are out most of them of the South American clan you mention. Ronaldo, Prita, Nafti, Vangeli, Nacho Garcia are all out... Panthrakikos is not as bad as the league table suggests and they are bound to get a point sooner rather than later esp at home. Aris has a problem in the scoring dept and with their missing players (midfield will suffer) it will be more evident... Odds are about right but I have a big bet on under2.5 @1.50+ (would go as high as 8/10). I expect this to be decided by the odd goal... No other bets today from Greek league...Thinking about the under in Giannina-Kavala...both solid defensively...but newcomers tend to play more open football when facing each other as they don't have superleague syndrome so not sure about it witthe odds on offer...

  9. Re: Sweden Allsvenskanliga Oct3~Oct6 It is generally a no bet round for me...even Monday's match odds are ridiculous considering GAIS excellent form and what I mentioned above about team differences in Sweden...Göteborg is having a tough time and they seem inclined to gift the championship to AIK... GAIS have the pts deduction problem hanging over them and that can affect team moral but when the players are on the pitch all they think about is the win... I find GAIS overpriced in this one...but I don't know if I will pull the trigger because of the unrest described above... the rest are a coin toss for me...

  10. Re: Sweden Allsvenskanliga Oct3~Oct6 Djurgarden fans are having a protest tomorrow...they won't enter the stadium before the 15th minute...they will go in to set signs to show their disappointment for the current situation...but they won't go in to watch the match until after the 15th min. Djurgården have one of their top strikers out injured, Trelleborgs full squad... Problem is that Djurgården have 5matches left to avoid direct relegation while Trelleborgs are indifferent...Team differences in Sweden are not that big and any team on a good day can beat almost any other. Trelleborg played a Jekyl and Hyde match midweek (4-2 after 0-2 at the local derby) and noone knows which team will appear this time... Djurgården will play for the quick score but without supporters and with their poor attack I can't see it going all for them. On the other hand they have all the motivation in the world. No bet for me... Also during the week there was a "scandal" with a GAIS player who was found to be playing without legal papers to stay in Sweden...there have been tons of discussions about how that affects the league and what kind of penalty GAIS could get...It can totally flip the championship upside down if they just get 0 on all matches he played because it would affect every single team on the table (esp those who have lost pts to GAIS)... The general consensus coming from players and coaches is for a penalty against the club but not against the league...meaning no pts deduction...but the uncertainty is never a good thing...

  11. Re: UEFA Europa League » Oct 1 I lost all my Nigeria HT/FT wins on Benfica... Sad day...even sadder when you have to watch the match... I still can't believe they couldn't score... Let's hope the night matches generate some profit... Lazio kept a system alive...with PAO DNB and Din Z DNB And I have money on Galata-Hamburg-Paraguay treble... but this shaped up to be a great profit day and now I'm just scraping to get by with some profit...

  12. Re: UEFA Europa League » Oct 1 55' Benfica substitute...midf and striker come on...Saviola and a def out... it is just a matter of Benfica effectiveness in front of goal... 66' AEK gk Saha is having a fantastic night...reminds me of Nikopolidis vs Arsenal on tuesday... 68' Forced substitution for AEK...best def midf out injured...sub is another 20 year old... This is getting ridiculous for Benfica...

  13. Re: UEFA Europa League » Oct 1 Watching AEK-Benfica live... Benfica has obviously more quality...AEK decided to play the counter attack game... Benfica opened strong and hit the post once but at 20' AEK missed a huge chance with Blanco heading the ball wide facing an open goal... After that the match evened out with Benfica still circulating the ball better but being a bit careless with their defense...at the end of the half AEK was more pressing and scored from a set piece... AEk players are young and one or two good moves make the crowd go wild and they play with more enthusiasm...but they lack in technical ability... Benfica can change this around but it won't be easy... :(

  14. Re: World Cup under20 in Egypt (24/09 -16/10) The Coach Samson Siasia led-team have not been able to record any goal since the start of the championship, have promise to spill their blood on the pitch and redeem their image and that of the coach. Speaking to Daily Sunsport in Cairo, Helsinborg player, Yakubu Alpha and Uche Okafor, the Kaduna United FC keeper whose mistake led to the first Spanish goal in Flying Eagles’ match on Monday says they are set to correct their past mistake. “It is difficult to explain what is actually wrong with us, and is unfortunate that things are not working as planed. We know we have brought disgrace to our country, but we are bent on correcting it in our match against Tahiti to ensure we redeem our image and that of the coach which was highly rated before now. “We have overcome the shock of the last two matches and the spirit on camp is high we are determine to go all out to right all we have gotten wrong and ensure we win our match convincingly and wait for all the losers probably we might be among the best losers."

  15. Re: World Cup under20 in Egypt (24/09 -16/10) "We are well aware of the differences between the two teams on an individual level, but my players have been gaining in confidence despite the results and they know we can still qualify if we beat Nigeria. Of course it's going be very tough to do that, but anything can happen in football." Tahiti coach Lionel Charbonnier "We have absolutely no margin for error now. We need to start doing all the things we've failed to do so far, and that's winning and scoring goals. And even then that might not be enough." Nigeria coach Samson Siasia.

  16. Re: World Cup under20 in Egypt (24/09 -16/10) I know this is not exactly rocket science but Nigeria HT/FT is money in the bank. Nigeria have a good U20 team traditionally and went far in the last WC... Tahiti have lost both group matches 8-0 to Spain and Venezuela.. Moreover Nigeria need the win and with a big score to qualify to the last 16 as one of the best 3rd placed teams...so they need the win and they need to start scoring early and as much as possible...If you can find Nigeria to win both halves it should give you more value but as William Hill haven't made the same mistake twice Nigeria HT/FT @ 1.20 or so is a good way to buy money... If I were a bookmaker I would go

  17. Re: UEFA Europa League » Oct 1 I agree with dak 100% on everything regarding the AEK v Benfica match... I can't for the life of me see how AEK can win this match...they are a total mess on an off the field... I just hope Benfica score...Benfica DNB should be money in the bank...but I will add some on straight away win for more value...
