  1. I'm using Skybet/Betfair for my matched betting at the moment. I have a £50 non redeemable cash amount in my account. Slightly different to a £50 free bet in that unlike the free bet I can obviously break this £50 bet up into various bets if I wish. Which brings me to the question - Is there any more profit to be made from breaking it down into various bets or does it come to roughly the same amount? If anyone knows hows how to best play this - please let me know. Thanks.

  2. I'm looking at targeting the free bet offers that all the bookies offer as an introductory. I haven't looked at it in depth but I don't really get how it is enticing. From what I can see you generally have to stake a fair wad of your own money first and you also don't get to withdraw the free bet token - instead just the winnings. Sometimes you have to turn over the free bet token value 5 times over, or something like that. Is there some kind of trick to it or way around it? I've heard people making use of the offers and stuff but I just can't see where. Any help would be appreciated! Ta.

  3. Re: Newsletter Basically I had a load of unread newsletters in my emial and deleted them all. If it's something I get every week then I don't know if there's any point subscribing to it ... but if it's say 1 time a month then I think it's fine. I deleted my emails and only then realised I should have checked the dates lol.

  4. Re: England > Barclays Premier League > 2-4 January Taking a £2 punt on City/Liverpool to be 0-0. Think it could be a cancel each other out job. Liverpool strong at the back, especially when away and City are struggling to break teams down at the moment. Liverpool will sit in front of City and just stifle them all game long. Sunderland away at Wigan interests me (DNB). In good form and putting in solid displays. Tough game to be fair away at Wigan ... somehow I think the game will be a draw ... but nonetheless the DNB protects my belief, so I'm edging towards Sunderland.

  5. Re: England > Midweek > Barclays Premier League > 20-22 December Successful night last night for me and I'm hoping for another tonight. I have placed 3 bets, £10 stakes a piece. Total stake of £30. (Betfair) 1) First bet is on 'any unquoted' at odds of '9' on the Arsenal/Villa game. I watched Villa against Liverpool on Sunday and I couldn't quite believe how poor they were. Absolutely diabolical. They look so so prone to letting goals in. If Arsenal turn up, they could slaughter Villa. £80 potential profit if they can manage 4 goals. 2) Bet number 2 is on the Liverpool/Wigan game. I've got £10 on Liverpool to keep a clean sheet at odds of '2.08'. Liverpool are strong away from home and don't concede many. Seem to be very solid away from home this season and I'm backing their form with this bet. 3) Bet number 3 was a gamble. QPR/Sunderland. Very very close game and very very hard to decide what way to go. I reccon if a team win it'll be by the goal. I've decided to plump with the home team and home advantage at odds of '2'. I think Sunderland will pick things up but maybe it's still a bit too soon. Either way I wouldn't be surprised if they won. But I'm going with QPR and I reccon this may well be a draw or a 2-1.

  6. Re: England - Barclays Premier League - Nov 5 - 6 Newcastle vs Everton - Newcastle DNB 1.61 Aston Villa vs Norwich - Norwich DNB 3.35 Going with Newcastle's form here. High flying and seemingly don't want to stop. Backing their confidence/form + the home advantage on this one. Norwich is a nice little bet I think. I can see them potentially pulling off a shock. I saw them away at Liverpool and they were ever so close to causing an upset. Liverpool did have many glorious chances if I remember correctly but I like the way Norwich stifled them. I feel it is very effective. They could and should have done better at United and they were so close to stealing a draw at Liverpool. I really think at 3.35 away at Aston Villa, a side with no real sort of character or form ... is great value. This is my BIG tip for the weekend.

  7. Re: England > Weekend > Championship > 23-25 September Personally I think Blackpool are really good value at 2.46 (DNB) Hard to beat and have yet to lose away from home yet. Good experience in their side and with a bit of luck they'll nick this (provided their 1st team are out). I don't know what to make of Portsmouth?? I have no opinion on them .. they just seem to be making up the numbers.

  8. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 17-18 September

2 good bets that stand out for me this weekend. Newcastle DNB (3.4) & QPR DNB (2.86) Both teams have a good chance of winning I feel. Newcastle have a strong team and Aston Villa aren't that convincing. An away win could easily be on the cards here. Similar reasoning for QPR. They will be hard to beat and with Wolves being a team who are also difficult to beat ... I foresee a very tight game. QPR are under valued here though for me .. they've put together a decent team. I think both bets represent very good value.
    £18.60 profit. Boom.

  10. Re: England > Weekend > Championship > 20-21 August I'm taking up Brighton (DNB) at 1.62 .... good value for me on a team who are just a good footballing team. I saw Blackpool against Hull on the first footballing Friday and Blackpool looked a good unit and difficult to break down. I just fancy this Brighton team though to score goals. I'm also not sure Blackpool have the goals in them to put 2/3 into the net away from home. They lost Adam & Campbell .... therefore their current midfield 3 is Southern, Grandin and Ferguson - solid but lacking in creativity and goals. Upfront the goals will be between Taylor-Fletcher and Phillips but I'm not sure they will get as many chances this year. The full backs support the midfield well but I see Crainey was missing tonight .. injured? He is an important player for them. Brighton have bags of flair, enthusiasm, energy, creativity & goals in them .... Blackpool don't possess the same flair this year and I don't see them scoring many; therefore my tip is Brighton. I'm also mulling over DNB bets on Ipswich and Middlesbrough although I think I'll sleep on those two. Boro are looking strong to me and are scoring goals, in particular Emnes. Ipswich have got some decent midfield/attacking players on paper, just need to get their act together. I see value in both bets but will sleep over it.

  11. Re: England > Midweek > Championship > 16,17 August

I've gone with over 3.5 goals at odds of 3.6 in the Cardiff vs Brighton game. (Betfair) Score currently 0-0 after 5 minutes or so. I see goals in this. Cardiff put 3 in at home in their last home game. Front 3 of Mason, Earnie and Miller ... so attacking intent. Whittingham chips in with goals too. Brighton are a team also who attack and can score goals. I envisage a game of goals from 2 attacking teams who attack with conviction and go for it. 2 teams with ambition.
Well good Sir .... Cher ching :cheers

  13. Re: England > Weekend > Championship > 13-14 August Portsmouth vs Brighton - Brighton DNB 2.12 (Betfair) Don't really take much notice of 1st couple weeks of games but this one is a good one to me. Brighton are full of attacking flair and positivity and have goals in them. That feel good factor is very strong in their club and I think they're more than capable of winning here. Saw them against Doncaster and they were in control for most of the game and I just feel there's a spirit of positivity and real belief there which will see them do very well. IMO. The bet here is good value.
