  1. Re: Defender Anytime Goalscorer Strategy This is one of my regular bets, and at lower league level you can certainly profit if you know your stuff. Also as mentioned Coral seem to be the most generous, often offering 40/1 for 1st and 12/1 for anytime. Finding a defender who is a pen / free kick taker is a bonus, but backing a big aggressive defender who plays for a team that will be toward the top of the league is where I've made my money down the years.

  2. Re: lets break that 0-0 lay record I feel sick as a parrot. Had a go at 0-0 lays over the last few days. I did celta Vigo on Sunday (0-0), sporting Lisbon last night (0-0) and the notts county game tonight (0-0). Never known luck like it. Lost over £200 to win pittance. Just feel really disillusioned with this kind of bet right now. Notts v Preston was the only 0-0 in the whole of England tonight

  3. Re: Trixie system Thanks for the info. As always - if something appears to good to be true - it usually is. I'm not sure if this bet can be done with betfair using their multiples. Someone on another forum said William hill offer this bet as a multiple but I could not find it possible

  4. Been fiddling with some figures and systems. Based on (what I think is a Trixie – one £3 double and 2 £3 singles) I have back tested the following figures. * Season Games Staked Returns Yield Points 06-07 798 £7,182.00 £153.42 2.14% 17 07-08 722 £6,498.00 £333.22 5.13% 37 08-09 887 £7,983.00 £1,061.77 13.30% 118 09-10 750 £6,750.00 £943.77 13.98% 105 10-11 1719 £15,471.00 £461.21 2.98% 51 11-12 729 £6,561.00 £636.49 9.70% 71 Total 5605 £50,445.00 £3,589.88 7.12% 399 * The Trixie involves the over / under 2.5 market and match outcome and the figures I have used are fairly conservative (better ones were probably available by bookie selection). * Before I start applying this into live money would like to gauge some thought – and perhaps people’s advise on trixie betting. I have back tested using flat £3 stakes on each (even though the odds between the over/under and the match result bet will vary). Is this the best method – or should I bet more / less depending on the odds? * Hopefully get some decent feedback.
