Close House looked too be going quite well when falling in fact just looking to go past Wonderful Charm. Too far out to make a firm opinion as to what might of happened however in receipt of seven pounds from the market leaders and similar hurdles form to Taquin Du Seuil, Close House looks worth a go. 1:55 Cheltenham: Grand Vision 1pt win 5/1 Bet365 Grand Vision has been off a long while and is just about about worth siding with at the prices as he could be well in on his novice form and first time back is often the time to catch horses these days. Grand Vision has proven course form and that often counts for a great deal here. 2:20 Cheltenham: Ackertac 2pts win 12/1 Betfred Course form is often the key to these races and Ackertac has some fine efforts to his name and he looks overpriced here. His fine run at the Festival when just being touched off by Rajdhani Express and then subsequently beating Goulanes reads very well. A big run looks possible with Richard Johnson back in the plate.

    Re: New Year's Resolution Thread A terrible year. Barely kept the thread going. Fewer and fewer write ups and less and less time spent on selections and studying generally which all lead to a downward spiral. I still think there is mileage in the exactas but like everything they need time and study too and better staking not just boxing. Its like anything, what you get back is reflected by what you put in. No point going on like this. Either need to get back to it or give up.     Re: National Hunt Racing > Saturday December 7th 1:50 Sandown: Hinterland 2pts win 11/2 Stan James Hinterland had looked pretty decent last year and won nicely last time appearing to be going the best before Grandouet unseated so its a little of a surprise to see him at a bigger price and drifting. Looks the value. 2:05 Aintree: Bostons Angel 2pts win 16/1 Willam Hill & Across The Bay 1pt win 12/1 Boylesports Bostons Angel has done well over the cross country courses so should hopefully take to these fences. Also has his first run for David Pipe which may bring a little improvement / freshened up. Across The Bay ran well for a long way in the Grand National and this may just be his trip. Looks likely to give a good account and trainer likes to do well here, where his father had so much success. 2:25 Sandown: Seventh Sky 2pts win 25/1 Betbright & Deep Trouble 1pt win 8/1 Betfred Seventh Sky looks pretty big in the market. He looks to be on a reasonable mark here and off a break could go well at a big price. Charlie Mann is in decent form and does well here. Deep Trouble ran well at Cheltenham and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close. 3:15 Aintree: Dunowen Point 2pts win 7/1 Betfred, You Must Know Me 1pt win 16/1 Stan James & Your Busy 1pt win 33/1 Betbright Dunowen Point ran a fine race here in April and that form has been franked by the winner. Donald McCain does well here and a big run looks possible. You Must Know Me catches the eye coming over from Ireland and given some of his form as a novice he could make the journey over worthwhile. You Busy is another that looks overpriced. Again travels over from Ireland and has some course form.
