  1. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifiers > 2-3 September

Are you kidding me? Charlie Adam more technically gifted than any Czech player? :D He's a good hard working professional who can deliver a decent set piece. He's not particularly blessed with an abundance of technical ability. And I think you'll see today he's certainly not even close to being more technically gifted than anyone in the Czech team today. The Czech's may not be as strong as they have been in the past, but they are more than capable of passing Scotland off the pitch this afternoon. 19/10 is a very fair price on the Czech's walking away with the 3 points. They are the better team pure and simple.
Adam plays for a (probably) top 4 Premier League side. Why did they sign him? Because he works hard? There are a lot of players who work hard. He's one of the best passers in the league. Passing is a technical ability. I'd make a more accurate comparison but my TV doesn't pick up the Gambrinus Liga channel.
  2. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifiers > 2-3 September I personally can't see how anyone could describe the Czechs as technically superior to Scotland. Perhaps in the days of Poborsky and Nedved yes, but now? I'd argue that Charlie Adam is more technically gifted than any Czech player in that squad. Darren Fletcher too perhaps. Scotland's lineup will consist of mostly English Premier League players whereas the Czechs, the woeful Rosicky aside, have to call on players who are playing at a decidedly lower level. Baros can be a threat but Scotland play a cautious style and have played far better sides and kept far better strikers quiet. Fletcher is adept at doing the dirty work in midfield which should give Adam a chance to flourish. Set pieces will also play a big part for Scotland with Adam's deliveries. It's a shame Levein is so afraid of being a bit more ambitious, I think a 4-4-2 here would result in a comfortable Scotland win, but as it is I think they'll just edge out the Czechs. Scotland @ 6/4. Bet365.

  3. Re: Czech Republic Gambrinus Liga 2011/12 I'm no expert on the Czech league but on a quest to find a decent bet on a Monday I stumbled across the game between Jablonec and Mlada Boleslav. I watched Jablonec in midweek against AZ and although they lost 2-0, they played well and created plenty of chances. With no knowledge of the away side and unsure of how the midweek European excursion will affect Jablonec, I've decided to look at the overs market. The Czech season is just beginning but the statistics from the tail end of last season are making the 21/20 on offer for over 2.5 goals very tempting. Jablonec's home games have gone over in 15 of their last 17, Mlada's away games have gone over in 8 of their last 9. Jablonec had the highest average goals per game of any side in the league last season, with their home matches providing 56 goals in 15 games. This is one of those bets where I'm willing to put my faith in the stats. Over 2.5 goals @ 21/20. bet365.

  4. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 23rd November I really like the look of Chelsea to win to nil tonight. They've scored 12 goals in 4 CL games, conceding only 2 and are up against a side who have absolutely nothing to play for and have only managed to score one goal in the group stage so far. Stamford Bridge is as tough a place as any to get goals and considering that the chelsea win is 1/7, odds of 8/11 for them to win to nil seems very generous. Chelsea to win to nil @ 8/11. Bet365

  5. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday 21st October I'm no expert on the Europa League but I will have a dabble tonight and one bet that looks interesting is Lech Poznan to score against City. City's defensive record is generally good so far both domestically and in Europe but Blackpool showed last weekend that a bit of determination and doggedness can expose frailties in their defence, something that Lech Poznan would certainly appear to possess (and again, I'm basing that on what I've seen from them in this competition alone). I fancy City to win the game, perhaps even comfortably, but I do feel that Lech have more than enough ability (and tenacity) to get a goal. Lech Poznan to score @ 19/20 (Bwin)

  6. Re: UEFA Europa League 22nd April Atletico went through the champions league group stage without winning a single match, 3 draws and 3 defeats. They have since played 6 games in the Europa League and have only won one, against Galatasaray in the round of 32. Therefore they are in the semi finals of a European competition having won only ONE game in Europe this season. Quite extraordinary. For this reason, and for the reason that their defence is shambolic at times, I would certainly be staying away from backing Atletico in this match. And I would refrain from backing Liverpool for obvious reasons. Despite Atletico's dire defence they have some fantastic forward players, even without Aguero. Therefore I'll be going for Both teams to score@ 4/5 (BET365), which I think is much safer than 1x2. Good luck everyone ;)

  7. Re: Champions League- 6th April

I dont think you understand the arguement that the other side are making' date=' if you did, you would agree with them. :lol[/quote'] no i understand completely. the odds on arsenal suggested that the bookies saw arsenal winning this game just 1 time out of 10. some people thought that this was wrong and that arsenal would in theory win more times than this and thats where the value comes from. i can see the logic, but i'm still never going to bet on a decimated arsenal side, at the nou camp, against one of the finest barcelona sides in living memory, with one of the greatest players of our generation on scintillating form. i took only one bet tonight and that was barca -1.5 @evens, not very high stakes but it returned a nice profit.
  8. Re: UEFA Europa League 1st of April

:puke. lol! you are using BET365 to LAY Liverpool' date=' what a joker! You cant lay on bet365. Who you trying to con?[/quote'] you can effectively lay a team on bet365 by selecting 'double chance' although the odds dont seem to be anywhere near what you can get on betfair.
  9. Re: Champions League 31st of March I have a good feeling tonight for overs in both matches. I had the same feeling last night and had a nice little double on overs in both matches. First of all I think that the form book has to go out of the window to a certain extent because these are cup matches and not only that, cup matches with a Champions League semi-final place up for grabs. Therefore the usual study of form and past encounters has less relevance in a competition where literally, anything can happen. The Arsenal - Barca match for obvious reasons stands out as a game with at least 3 goals, both sides will be attacking from the off and neither can boast the best defence in the world, or anywhere near it. As far as a result is concerned, I must admit I have only bet on a result in a Barca game once all season, and that was last month when they lost to Atletico. I had Atletico to win that match because the cracks were just starting to show in a Barca side without the likes of Pique, Toure, Abidal and Alves. In fact I personally think Barca have looked shaky for a number of weeks and it's taken outrageous performances by Leo Messi to gloss over it. Anyway, both sides don't know any other way to play than to play offensively and with the quality on display tonight I would be dumbfounded if there was less than 3 goals in the match. Over 2.5 - 17/20 @ bet365 The inter game is a little different. Mourinho is under the spotlight by the Italian press and will desperately want to reach the semis at the very least before he most likely departs Italy in the summer. He will know that he got probably the best tie against CSKA and may well want to try to wrap up the tie in the 1st leg. The way the game pans out in terms of goals will depend mostly on how CSKA approach the game. If they go to the San Siro with an attacking philosophy and try to get the away goal, which I think would be their best chance of progressing, then this could be an explosive game. If they try to maybe take a 0-0 back to Russia then I think Mourinho is far too clever and experienced to let the Russians dictate play and will himself go for that early goal to settle the nerves vis-a-vis when Chelsea came to Milan. Either way I think the chances of a few goals are high, and although not as confident in the overs as I am with the Arsenal game, I'm still more than willing to take it. Over 2.5 - 19/20 @ bet365 Double Over 2.5 in both matches - 2.6/1 @ bet 365

  10. Re: World Cup Qualifiers - September 9/10

They always think they are better than they are' date=' Like Celtic Supporters. Then when they come up against real class, they get taken out of the game and get shown up. [/quote'] you mean like when we beat the world cup finalists france twice, beat the world cup quarter finalists ukraine and outplayed the world champions at hampden? take the poker out of your arse you idiot.
  11. Re: CL - 7th & 8th of April just having a look on bet365 at more interesting bets as im sick of trying to bet on outcomes of matches this season im looking at 'goalscorer match bets', can someone let me know what this is exactly? for instance for the barca v bayern match it has 3 options leo messi 7/4 tie 8/11 luca toni 9/2 am i right in thinking that if i bet on messi then i am betting on him to score more goals than toni?
