  1. Re: Spain v Italy > June 10

I think it is no longer a good bet since Chielini and Barzagli' date=' two main central defenders will miss the EURO due to injury, so goals look very likely in this one.[/quote'] Hi Mustafa, these are sure part of the problems Italy is having... but I have a feeling this game in someways can be compared to Barca - Chelsea and the 3/4 ball spread... Still we have not really many solid statistical datas on how national teams can actually perform under pressure as we can have the datas for club teams, the big question is: is there a 3/4 ball spread between Spain and Italy? Italian ill defense vs Llorente and Torres? I think survival instinct of Italy can come out, expecially vs a bit victories satiated Spain, but gotta see if the price is worth backing it... we will see what will happen in the prices in next days. For now let's keep the money in the wallet, at least for me. All the best!
  2. Re: Spain v Italy > June 10

Good point and I wanted to back Under 2.5 Goals, but bookies are not that stupid and unders are already priced @ 1.50-1.57. Guess if most people (including myself) will be leaning towards a low scoring game "Time of Goal" markets might be a good option. Probably something like First goal after 31st minute @ 2.00, or after 46th minute @ 3.20.
Nice option those of the First goal after 31st @ 3.2, but then I like very much also Pinnacle's offer on the U0.75 HT @ 2.16... seems even rather protective, not to forget the many trading possibilities you can have in live after about 30 minutes... On the other hand, let's keep an eye on the troubles that Italian squad is passing, Ranocchia is out (Astori on his place) and maybe De Rossi will have to play as a central defender... Surely he already covered this role in the past, but nevertheless it is not his natural one. I believe that because these troubles maybe the price for Italy will grow up a bit more in next days, and I am wondering to take Italy +0.75... we will see, even if Italian I never had too much pleasure in backing my national team, but this time the price maybe hides a value...
  3. Re: Europa League 17 September

line-up for Austria Wien - Bilbao Athletic Bilbao: Iraizoz - Iraola, Ocio, Amorebieta, Castillo - Susaeta, Gurpegi, Gabilondo, Muniain - Toquero, Llorente. J. Martinez, De Marcos (not allowed to play), Orbaiz, Munoz, Diaz de Cerio, Yeste (all 4 Injured) Austria Wien: Safar - Standfest, Bak, Ortlechner, Suttner - Klein, Vorisek, Dragovic, E. Sulimani - Jun, Diabang. Baumgartlinger (not allowed to play), Okotie, Junuzovic, Hattenberger, Acimovic (all 4 injured) Lazio: Muslera - Lichtsteiner, Diakite, Cribari, Radu - Dabo, Baronio, Mauri - Foggia/Meghni - Cruz, Zarate backup: Bizzarri - Siviglia, Bonetto, Stendardo, Eliseu, Del Nero, S. Inzaghi Kolarov (not allowed to play), Rocchi, Brocchi, Scaloni, Makinwa (injured), Salzburg: Gustafsson (very good goal-keeper!!) - Schwegler, Sekagya, Afolabi, Ulmer - Leitgeb, Pokrivac - Tchoyi, Zickler, Svento - Janko Missing for the match: Pitak, Ngwat-Mahop, Jezek, Rakic, Ilsanker, Aufhauser, Ilic, Boussaidi, Traoui Lazio doesn't really care about this tournament, rather focus on seria A... Still...Lazio should win, but i won't bet on that one
Hi Filoshi, in my opinion Lazio cares about this cup, just seeing Zarate and Cruz means a lot. And by the Lazio in Serie A can only fight eventually for a place in next Champions League, but not much more than that, so why wasting the opportunity to do well in this European scenario? Just my opinions mate. BTW tonight Muslera most probably won't play, as the goalie tonight will be Bizzarri, Lichtsteiner could have some problems and so Stendardo could play. we will see anyway. I am on Lazio -1 BTW. good luck to anyone! Luigi
  4. Re: Finland, weekend, 25-27th of april.

Hey Luigi, I share your views about the Veikkausliiga - I'm probably one of the few people in England that actually watch it! However, something I have to point out - TPS didn't win the league last season. Inter Turku won the league last season. TPS are a good side though and I expect them to win the game with relative ease despite a pretty shaky start to their campaign. JJK are a side that I expect to be good only on their own turf, if you can indeed call that quagmire "turf"!
Hi Mozzi, thank you for pointing out this mate. It is all fault of my lousy English, because when I wrote " TPS instead is one of the most credited teams for winning the title this year." I was speaking about this season being TPS a team that can win the title:-) Thanks you too Shagrath, I wait eagerly for your news and infos for tomorrow!
  5. Re: Finland, weekend, 25-27th of april. Hello all, I always liked Finnish Veikkausliiga, as this league let's, togheter with some other ones, to keep alive football betting also in boring summer months. And over all this league looks to have a rather good quality, often, in my opinion, too much underrated by the big audience. For this monday this is my bet: Turku PS - JJK: Turku PS -1 @ 2.06 Stake: 10/10 JJK is a newcomer in Finnish VeikkausLiiga. TPS instead is one of the most credited teams for winning the title this year. TPS has also taken for this season Fulham's midfielder Wayne Brown, that has certainly brought a lot of quality to the team, and thanks to his help TPS was able to draw away in the nest of the strong HJK, 2-2. Still TPS has to win the first match in this season as the are 0-1-1 until now, but the first home loss was against the strong Haka (another team that could well win this title). So TPS looks very hungry to win, and considering that they already won in March in Liiga Cup 3-1 against the modest JJK, I think that if they push the throttle they have many chances to win this important match. As a side note TPS now deploys on the midfield the strong Fulham's Wayne Brown, but gotta add that also JJK (that hasn't played yet the first match in Veikkausliiga, but only in Liiga Cup in March) has in the group the 3 not so well known Korean players they bought. They can be a surprise, but overall I think that TPS has really more quality and experience in the league than JJK. I suggest to be very very careful with the stakes anyway, and just working to experiment a bit for now. Not to undervalue the factor that Turku is pretty distant from Jyvaskyla, and being this a monday night match I suspect that there won't be many (if any!) visitors' supporters. Certainly Turku's Veritas Stadium won't be the Old Trafford, but the home factor must always be taken into account in my opinion. Still the league is starting up, and of course anything can happen, but all in all I think that there is value in TPS AH-1 @ > 2.00. ANy thoughts, corrections, suggestions or advices by any of you will be strongly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :hope

  6. Re: World Cup 2010 ( 31 march - 02 april ) I am proud of myself, betting against my own national team means that I have reached the betting kharma level: Italy - Ireland: Ireland to win, draw no bet @ 5.80 (betfair) Stake: 5/6 units I just have a bad feeling about Italy and his coach Lippi: not only there will be some missings, expecially in the offensive side like Di Natale, but also there will be many unfit players on the defense side like Chiellini (nose problems, much pain) and Zambrotta, but also it seems that there may be many changes in the regular players, expecially it seems that Giuseppe Rossi will play... I think he is just an overrated player, after all if he was that good he would have been playing for a top team (with all the respect for Villarreal of course!). Irish coach, Trapattoni, knows too well Italian football, and certainly he knows well Italian problems. Also Italy had serious difficulties in Montenegro, even more than the difficulties that Ireland had against Bulgaria, and if it was not for Buffon, Italy wouldn't have won away. And the odds for the away win looks just crazy in my opinion (I saw yesterday Ireland @ 11.0), and the draw no bet looks a very intersting option I think. BOL to anyone!

  7. Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) Thanks for all your inputs folk! I spotted in my opinion nice odds on Algeria to win away in Rwanda @ > 2.70 on Betfair. Actually I am not a great expert in African football, but I think that Algeria is a better team than Rwanda, as many Algerinians players have some European experiences, while I never heard too much about football from Rwanda. All in all an away match is always a bit more difficult match, and certainly to play away in Rwanda is not the same feeling to play away in Lugano... Is there anyone that has more infos about this match? Thanks in advance! Ignore what I said, thanks Youssef for your very good inputs too!

  8. Re: CL - Wednesday 11th of March Hello Toronto Mike, I just hand copied Inter's squad tonight from this morning Gazzetta dello Sport. I agree with you about Samuel, he will indeed be a boost because we all know how "shameful" can Rivas be. On the other hand I think that even if the 4-3-2-1 may look a bit defensive and "conservative" for Inter, I also think that Ibrahimovic may change the match in any moments... also the same thing in my opinion would apply for Ronaldo, but as I said, it was the odds that mostly pushed me for a bet on Inter.

  9. Re: CL - Wednesday 11th of March Hello all folks, looking at the prices of the Italians team tonight, I think that the one I like more is definitely Inter. AS Roma tonight not only will miss De Rossi, Cicinho, Panucci (who was not inserted in the Champions League's players' list) and Perrotta, but also I think Pizarro won't be at all in a good shape, after the muscle injury he suffered during last match against Udinese. Infact he was substituted and showed lot of physical pain for that while exiting out of the field. So most probably he won't be at the top tonight. Same about Totti, if he will play he certainly won't be very fit after the last week's problem. So ASR will be with a totally "revolutionized" midfield, missing the columns of the play like De Rossi and Perrotta, against a strong physically team like Arsenal. I don't see any values in AS Roma odds for tonight actually. Nevertheless also Arsenal will be missing Adebayor, Fabregas, Arshavin and Rosicky, but they can comfortably defend tonight. I think last tiny AS Roma's chance stands in the legs of Mirko Vucinic, I think he will be the key of the match: if he will be able to take on his own balls from the midfield and go ahead, then things may change... but I won't dare to bet on AS Roma, hoping on Vucinic, for such short prices. So, for now, my only bet is: 5/10 on Manchester UTD - Inter: 2 @ 5.00 (I suggest anyone to bet it at any odds more than 5.00 if he has the possibility to do that!) Samuel will be back in the defense, and so Inter will be missing only Burdisso, Materazzi and Chivu. Chivu is an important absence, but I wouldn't say so about Burdisso and Materazzi. Tonight's Inter: 4-3-2-1 Julio Cesar, Maicon, Cordoba, Samuel, Santon, Viera, Cambiasso, Zanetti, Stankovic, Muntari/Balotelli, Ibrahimovic. If Mourinho has been able to handle the internal pressures, I think that Inter tonight stands a chance. And actually I am tempted to bet something like 2/10 on AS Roma [-1 Handicap] - Arsenal: 1 @ 6.00 just in case Vucinic will feel in good mood tonight. Good luck to anyone. Luigi

  10. Re: CL - Tuesday 10th of March I think that Panathinaikos may look rather "boring" when play, but all in all during all this Champions League season they were in real troubles only in Cyprus against Anorthosis, and they managed to qualifying winning also away in Milano against Inter, this means that Panathinaikos is a very cynic (I hope this is the good translation) team, and can be always dangerous. Gotta also add that they can be fine with a goalless draw, and gotta consider how this could effect the match. If this match was the first leg I would have certainly bet on home win, but since the situation here is different I will take more hours to think on this. Also, I have to look at injuries situation, are there any last minute news? Thanks in advance.

  11. Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February

Inter - Manchester UTD: X @ 3.15, 0-0 exact result @ 7.00, (both teams to score @ 1.80, just to have a bit of "cautiousness" for my budget in this match :-) ) Probably the best of Italy (even if I am definitely not an Inter's supporter) vs best of UK as many posters already said. It will be a tight match, fought on tactics. Inter apparently seems to be at best of its shape now, Manchester maybe at 90% of its physical shape. The fear to take a goal could lead to a draw and the odds are definitely not bad in my opinion.
I didn't take the good reasons of this outcome, but getting it saved definitely my night! :)
  12. Re: CL - Tuesday 24 February Hello all, my attempts for tonight: Atletico Madrid - Porto: 1 @ 1.95 It is true that Atletico lately has had a not great time in Liga, but tonight the whole team, supporters and society will want to prove they really have a chance to do well in the "Great" Europe! Porto is maybe the not the greatest side of all the CL (expecially away), so in my opinion Atletico tonight stand some chances and the odds are good enough. Arsenal - Roma: X @ 3.25, Both teams to score @ 1.80. This will be an intersting match, I will be most probably watching it live on TV. Arsenal will be missing Adebayor, but in my opinion that they have enough offensive midfielders able to score. On the opposite side we have Roma, that probably will try to score, since they had very very severe lessons in UK last years in CL, and maybe they learnt something. I think this could be a furious match on the start with attacks and counterattacks on both sides, that could lead to some goals scored. After this things may calm down and flow toward a draw. Lyon - Barcelona: 1 @ 3.50 Lyon is ready to fight the match of the life in their home turf. Lyon has lot of "forgotten" talents (like Benzema and Juninho) and Barcelona is risking to ruin a great start of season with latest "non-top" performances, as Real could restart again to be a worry for them in their Liga. So Lyon in my opinion could take advantage of this pressure on Barca, boosted by home supporters. Good Luck to anyone!
