  1. Re: League 1 > 21st Dec - 22nd Dec Have to agree , i think Shef Utd DNB look decent. Utd are no world beaters but, they have only been defeated twice this season away from home and this was against arguably the best 2 sides in the league ie. MK Dons & Brentford,. In my opinion Crawley can not be compared with these teams, they are much inferior. Their home record is far from impressive with only 1 win in their last 5, it is my opinion that the value lies firmly with the away side.

  2. Re: Championship > 18th Dec - 22nd Dec Sorry C Tips without trying to offend your efforts , just thought id let you know that no one will take a 2nd look at your selections without reasoning. The whole idea is that you express your logic as to why you feel the games will finish as you have predicted. In short its pretty much a waste of time posting material like this. Sorry bro.... For example I fancy the Over 2.5 goals in the Crystal Palace v Huddersfield game. My reasoning is because C Palace have gone over in all but 1 game at home this season. Palace in my opinion will go to win this from the off and this could well leave them open to a Terriers team that have quality to break in Scannell and Beckford both returning from injury and should start. The Terriers like to play attractive footie and Palaces style will be easier to play against as opposed to Hull last week that tend to stop everything happening in the middle with their 5 man crowding style. Holloway is not likely to employ that tactic and this should allow the away side more room to supply their front line. Its a televised 5.20 KO so you can be sure all involved will be keen to put on a good show and this can only enhance the overs probability. Over 2.5 Goals - 1.75 - VC / Bet 365

  4. Re: Bank Holiday > Championship > April 9/10 Blackpool have been really decent of late and outside Reading they are form team in the league taking some decent scalps. Barnsley are quiet the opposite and haven't won away in some time. Two teams for me heading in different directions and for short priced backers this is best net material.

  5. Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March Hi das phantom I think this game is perfectly suited to westhams style. I have questions over big sans ability t break teams down at home but away he doesnt have to do this as its generally down to the home team to go forward. I think this will play into the hammers hands and I can see them winning this on the break. Burnley have been really poor of late and based on their last 5 games I have seen little that should concern the hammers. The greater motivation will also be with away here so all in better than evens will do for me.

  6. Re: Midweek > League 2 > Feb 27/28 Agree with the post on the morcambe game, 2 teams heading in the opposite direction. On Saturday morcambe were much the better side as far as chances created against southend a team with promotion aspirations. By contrast the dags were unbelievably lucky to take a point at Plymouth as it was a real backs to the wall job. I think morcambe should win this with gas to spare as they are a much better outfit than their struggling opponents.

  7. Re: Weekend > Championship > 17-18 Feb

Are Nottingham Forest worth single against Coventry this weekend? Just notice Coventry poor away forregardim' date=' just three points and no away win, but they are coming with a home winner against Leeds. But somehow 1.90 are kind a short for Nott. but anyone saw Forest or Coventry playing lately?[/quote'] Regarding the forest v coventry game this is going to be a real tough one to call. Despite their recent poor run coventry have for what its worth lost with dignity. I think it will be a real battle and I can't see either running away but if i had to put my neck on the line to pick a winner I think coventry are the better bet. Beating Leeds will have gave them a big lift and even their defeat to reading was creditable as fedarichi was tested on more than a few occasions. Personally I wouldnt bet on the game but i see no value in forest.
  8. Re: Weekend > Championship > 17-18 Feb Agree with above tough set of fixtures mainly due to postponements teams cihaven't really got runs going which makes things more difficult to predict. One game in the championship I like is the posh v bristol c, both sides have goals in them, neither can defend and both will surely view this as a winable fixture, over 2.5 goals for me is the bet here , awaiting team news.

  9. Re: UEFA Europa League > Tues 14 & Thurs 16 February Not wanting to do the lord mayor show but theEuropa league really is a time bomb for.the punter. My advise is minimum stakes as it , really only favours the bookie. Time and time again we have all been burnt on sure things in this 2nd rate competition and still the old urge lingers to take the bookie on. Personally i stopped speculating on this competition years ago as it will clean your pockets. Just my opinion

  10. Re: La Liga - 11-13 February

This is all true. A terrible start in the season' date=' CL was awful, now on relegation. This year instead, good results...last game a 2:1 victory in sevilla and berfore a draw against barca. La Liga is the only competition left for Villareal. the game against Granada is quit important. They are just 2 points ahead of Villareal. Some good results and even europe league qualification is touchable (only 8 points behind the 6th atletico). My pick: villareal@1,7 (bet90.com)[/quote'] I agree with the last 2 posts, but I think there is great value in the Overs at better than even money, both teams seem to be confident in front of goal, I know previously the home team have not scored many but their season seems to be finally coming together, anyone put me off back over 2.5 goals? Appreciate any opinion
  11. Re: Weekend > League 1 > 27/28 January 2 singles : 1st is the Brentford / wycombe game, watched brentford last week and thought they were very unlucky to leave huddersfield with nothing as for long periods they dominated the game, they looked a constant threat up front and i think with wycombes poor defensive and decent offence record this game has the hall marks of over 2.5goals. Wycombe have lost trotter back to the premier league but they showed last week that in bevin they have more strings in their bow. With neither side looking defensively sound I think goals should be on the cards. (med stakes) 4/5 Coral 2nd Is Charlton to beat Exeter, I dont usually do Charlton away as they dont create that many chances and philips has not been at his best for a while but after taking the scalps of both shefield clubs and coming up against a side that traditionally under tidsdale like to play football as opposed to a more physical game which should play into the aways hand, I just think the away teams class and confidence will be enough to win this tie. Factor in that Exeter can't buy a goal of late I think anywhere close to evens on the league leaders represents value. (medium stakes) Evens Boyles / VC Just my thoughts best of Luck

I believe its bad form and not business like to advertise your site on anothers forum, i looked at your site and to be honest its "woeful" to put up teams with no reasoning and recommend all odds on shots will never endear you to anyone who really follows football. The only thing that is predictable is your selections, dont waste your time posting here as i dont think anyone will be mug enough to follow your lead. Sorry just been honest.
  13. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 7th September Have to agree , good post. Yes Portugal seem to be there for the taking. There is no doubt a disrupted camp has a big bearing on results, just look at France. Definetely wouldnt put anyone one off backing Norway as they are a disciplined outfit with a decent home record. They have only lost 1 of their last 6 games and these scalps included Switzerland, Slovakia, Montenegro, Iceland and you guessed it FRANCE. For those less adventerous 6/5 is widely available with the DNB. good luck.

  14. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 7th September Hi All Internationals - not the greatest of fixtures and a potential graveyard for those looking to make a quick pound. Nevertheless for those that wish to get involved heres my predictions. ireland to win - 3-0 , 4-0 . Andorra are poor and although i hate the cliche of a must win game, Ireland will be looking at this fixture as one which they can win with goals to spare. No major injury concerns points to an irish victory , i dont think it will be a big rout as Ireland traditionally dont score alot of goals and Andorra have shown in their last game that they can keep good teams down. Andorra haven't scored since they lost 3-1 to Kazakhstan last September and it would be a huge shock if they find the net against the Republic. Home advantage should see Ireland with this scoreline. Both 3-0 and 4-0 correct scores are around 11/2. Scotland to win - 1-0 , 2-0 - The scots would be happy to win this by any scoreline. Spain on friday beat these guys 4-0, but lets face it they are the world champions. I expect Scotland to be a little more laboured, they dominated in their game on friday but just couldnt find the net, i think they will win here but i dont think it will be a rout and 8-1 with ladbrokes for 1-0 is a great price for a team who dont score alot. 2-0 is priced up at 11-2. i like the holland - 2 , 11-10 ,they play a Finland side who undoubtly will park the bus , but with sneijder, Huntelaar and Elia coming through i cant see them holding out. I would expect the dutch to win this with relative ease. latest reports are that Kurt will not be playing but i dont expect this to change the result. I like the look of Austria, Albania and Denmark but not enough info to place any money, so if anyone feels there should be reason to back any of these without the obvious please feel free to input your thoughts. I would like to reiterate, that punting on Internationals will not make you rich but they will often empty the bank, so best of luck.

  15. Re: Champions League Wed November 4th Better than even money on Unirea, surely has to be value, watched Rangers against Dundee Utd at the weekend and although they lead 1-0 b4 the game was postponed Utd had several opportunities, I feel this is real value for a team who humbled Rangers in their back garden. This is not Rangers of old, this is a poor team, and I just cant see them winning this tie. Rangers and Celtic have not got the players of quality they had in the past and I feel this price is based on past performances. Rangers must go to win this game and I feel when they do they will be found wanting! Elsewhere I feel Lyon draw no bet, is value as at best I feel with all the injuries Liverpool have this is the very best they can hope to achieve. Liverpool are a great champions league side but for me the selling of Alonso to feed through balls and all those missing just make it impossible to back them. Jamie Carragher a great player looks like he may have played one to many season (I hope not ) but Liverpool look vunerable on the counter attacks and I feel as they need to get something out of this match they may suffer big style on wed. I feel Benitez has totally lost the plot, taking off Torres, Kuyt etc in the last fixture just shows the man for me has accepted he wont be there to long, as these have been liverpools best servants and fans favourites and he still does his own thing. I expect this to be end to end but i feel Lyons quailty will shine. Sevilla playing decent footie and almost full strength against a team nt playing particularly and several injuries. My bets Single - Unirea Win (Best Bet) Double - Sevilla and Lyon Draw no bet Double - Overs in both the Rangers and Lyon match :hope

  16. Re: Europa League 17 September Minimum stakes as one does not really know who is REALLY taking this competition seriously but based on my assumption and previous games I fancy the following to win on wednesday: Dinamo Z - Watched them against Hearts at home (won 4 - 0 ) and thought they looked quite handy, intimidating venue, combined with the fact that last time out Anderlect looked poor ( lost 4 - 0 to a good Lyon side away and should have been more ) and have been generally been poor travelers for the last few seasons, I believe home win is very strong possibilities. The fact that Fulham have dropped most of their first team has to make me feel there is value in cska, I will wait on their team news but fulham are a mid table english team who excelled last season with their full team, surely their 2nd string will not trouble Cska. Interest bets only but these would be my fancies, Good luck
