Re: Racing Post Fav's to Place. £262 Staked. £116 Profit Just in general yeah, expect big fluctuations

Re: Racing Post Fav's to Place. £262 Staked. £116 Profit I really would test this over a considerable time period, i have found that 440 matches into my spreadsheet testing system, results are varying quite a bit, you can't use this as the basis for anything.

Hi guys I noticed Masey has compiled the SP odds of all runners and has recorded the win ratio etc but what I would like to know is where has he compiled this info from? Thanks in advance Looks I have found the answer

Re: Horses To Be Placed System
Lol, yes there is sometimes a big difference in prices, I concur with what you decided to though, that there is no reason to alter this system of yours, it's going well. I have had one shot at a system on here and that began to die a very painful death so I put it out of it's misery. This on the other hand has been consistent, well done :clapBetfair SP's Mister Incredible - 7/2 Tag Team- 3.8/1 Do you enjoy it paddy? do ya? -
Re: lay the place Whoops I absent mindedly edited the post, just to say also, that was not a criticism, this is after all just a paper experiment at the moment. However having said that, it does look promising on both the place market and the win market. I am not sure if much liquidity exists in the place market for the unfancied horse but I am sure there is enough there. :D These systems can be frustrating I know, but it's going well, hope you don't get deterred :ok

Re: lay the place Hi just wondered whether you have recorded the odds for each of the horses on the win only market? the reason i ask is because after the 100 bets, I think you will need to set an odds cap. I am not necessarily sure that the odds cap need to be really low but in some cases I have seen the horse odds at almost 50 and sometimes more, so you would have to ignore those because when one of them succeed it's going to wipe out perhaps a weeks profit in one fell swoop.

Re: lay the place I think Zekos might have just exceeded the reasonable odds limit :lol

Re: lay the place Great stuff and just to clarify something mate, you mentioned about other users deterring people xcode but the fact is I for example did remark that I thought one of his choices was misleading but I didn't continue to attack him and his record spoke for itself. If you look back on the thread, I think he got deterred eventually because unfortunately results started to go against him. You can't argue with 98% :clap

Re: Racing Post Forecast Favs Cracking stuff, out of interest when are you taking the prices?

Re: Racing Post Forecast Favs Superb

Re: xCode Lays Thread 2009 Hi I know what you are saying but this evens itself for instance he could have picked a horse at odds of 3 and then at sp it drifts to 4, meaning on the recorded results he lost 30 instead of 20. Therefore the standardised means of recording it is fair.

Re: Lay the Fav Thread Move on already, I was perplexed, however I am not going to keep on repeating that it's done and dusted. I am not going to cause friction, the results again today speak for themselves well done.
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread I haven't bothered replying to most of the retorts because they are nonsense. I like everyone else am very impressed with his record, the record speakers for itself. However I was very perplexed by that one pick which seemed to make no sense considering the horses odds and it's record. Having said that, whatever I take nothing away from the guys ability to pick horses at all.

Re: Lay the Fav Thread Actually that's too strong i retract that, it's inconsistent
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread It's very simple, it's misleading, deliberately misleading. No one could tell you that that horse was equal to the favourite and so why tell people there must be a minimum of 4 horses only to then ignore that?
-
Re: Laying Favs increasing stakes after loser Jon perhaps you should firstly look at your strike rate and then if you are intent on pursuing this strategy then set a max number of losers. You said you have never had more than 3 lose in a row, well if that is the case, how many times has this occurred? I ask because this will allow you to see whether setting the maximum number of losers at 3 before starting again will yield a profit. I wasn't trying to be patronising in the previous post, just wanted to stress the pitfalls. :ok
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread So much for looking at 4 horses which can beat the fav then. There were 5 horses in the first race and one of those horses feeling peckish, couldn't beat a snail lol.

Re: Laying Favs increasing stakes after loser Laying the fav at what odd? What is the point in seeking to win a pound? Let's say you are looking to win a fiver at average odds of 2, that's ,5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160 if you lose 6 bets on the bounce, which is possible, you have just lost 315.00 and for the sake of getting a potential return of a fiver. You could make hundreds from it initially but one bad run and you are toast.

Re: Lay the Fav Thread Oh okay, guess it was bad timing on my part
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread how did you make a profit from that one when diamond harry's odds were above 3?
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread what sites do you use for stats?
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread fair answer, thanks
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread hi xcode what criteria are you using to lay the horse? because at the moment this is not really a system, all you have said is short priced favourites which you think are weak but weak in what sense?
-
Re: Lay the Fav Thread Hi I noticed your first layed horse was at ireland, where do you find information for the irish races? because racing post doesn't cover it in detail like it does the GB races. Thanks and well done on another day :ok
