  1. Re: In-running betting Dont post much as i tend to bet in running mostly. So this thread is right up my street.;) I have spent a lot of time watching and analysing in running betting over the last 9 months. Watched over 1500 races ! There are many different strategies to use such as in running trading as well as finding winners. I only use pictures from my sky box and have found this adequate. Not looked into fast pictures so cannot comment on that but it must give an advantage. That said i usually get onto the horses i want at the right prices . I think at the end of the day it is how good you are at race reading and also watching how favourites perform as they affect the market the most.

  2. Re: The 2009 Grand National Toatally agree with you on the french bred thing but was not expecting it to go this year . But the trend on weight continues with the winner carrying 11 stone. Lots of bigger weights placed but the trend is only for winners so is still relevant. Mon Mome accelerated away after the last as the others felt the weight burden. Thought Comply or Die ran a great race again.

  3. Re: south central Yep . Just seen race at carlisle . I have been watching at the races so only saw leicester. Both looked good and also both were well backed on betfair at big prices. In fact Free Agent drifted just before the off out to 20's .

  4. Re: Predicting which way the pendulum will swing longterm Fair points Ginge. But there are also lots of people who make money on the trading of prices where the result of the race is not important! Being able to predict the movement up or down of prices can be extremely profitable and does not need extensive research and experience of horses. For example a well backed horse will usually give you a run for your money and although it may not win you can trade out in running for a profit. To turn it round for the layers . Horses that like to come from the back (usually Jamie Spencers odd on favs) will drift in running, again allowing opportunity for profit by trading out. Different people like to do different things so it is interesting to learn how others do things.

As stated earlier I do actually use bettrader at the moment which allows me to set up automated tools for when a bet goes on. How would a betting bot differ from this out of interest?
I use Betangel pro and this has facility to chart prices and also amount of money being gambled on a horse. As someone who does not know a great deal about racing it has been brilliant for me and dare i say it profitable too. You still have to make judgement calls but i started off staking small and built up as my results improved. I rarely do any other type of betting these days and find a good amount of selections to back or trade on. I have never been into laying as i am sure there is more to be made from backing so it may not suit . However it is a great way of earning and learning.
  6. Re: Handicap LTO winners I have been following this thread as i love the simpicity of it. I have also followed the irish racing using it and it threw up a couple of nice winners yesterday. Drumnavaddy Lough 5.0 and Asian Royale 5.5:clap These were the only 2 qualifiers so a nice profit. A couple of filters i have put in is that it must be running in same class and also up no more than 7lbs. Will see how it goes. Thanks for the thread
