Re: Dutching 1-0 & 2+ (Part 2) (1) Nancy - Motherwell, CS (1-0) - £3.27 @ 7.0 | 2+ Goals - £16.73 @ 1.37 - Combined odds of 1.14 - £21.93 Not a massive win, but hey, they all count :) Should have got a bet on the Citeh game with this too, but was at work and missed the kick off :(

Re: Hooloovoo's Dutching 1-0 and 2+, bank doubled! Wow. In just 5 quite safe bets too. Now go again, starting from £40 :p Well done, I must say
-
Re: Dutching 1-0 & 2+ (Part 2) Sorry about the OP lads :( - Should be good enough now, I hope :D And yay @ Nancy :)

Re: Dutching 1-0 & 2+ (Part 2) Cheers lads. :) Thanks for the Av Odds tip HLV. I'd be lost without you :D

Idea behind the thread : Thanks to HLV's thread, the idea is to back 1-0 for the fave, and back 2+ Goals and dutching them to make a profit. It seems the average odds is around 1.17 / 1.18 - So it could be a steady way to make profits. £20 Starting Bank. My Aim - nothing in particular, just really like the looks of this strategy, and feel it could bring many fortunes. I'll be going in full bank each bet, and when the bank is doubled each time, I'll remove 25%. (1) Nancy - Motherwell, CS (1-0) - £3.27 @ 7.0 | 2+ Goals - £16.73 @ 1.37 - Combined odds of 1.14 Not sure what the combined odds are, or how to work them out really :D

Re: Dutching 1-0 and 2+ Excellent form thus far, HLV. Cheers for that Calc link too. You wouldn't mind if I jumped in this thread with you, do you? Or would you rather I started my own? I've put my bets on for the Nantes game already.

Re: Dutching 1-0 and 2+ Another winner the HLV :) 1-1 Villa now.
-
Re: Dutching 1-0 and 2+ Oh, may I please ask, what do you use as your dutching calculator?
-
Re: Dutching 1-0 and 2+ Excellent idea for a system here HLV. Your third bet looks fairly safe, with Villa 1 down but its a very open game. Might try this one myself. :)

Re: Another 1+ thread Good luck HLV.! I'm 100% certain there is money to be made from 1+ threads, but it does require stedy progress and a good staking plan, and more importantly, discipline.! Good start you've had though. Something I found in the Prem last season, was doing 1+ goals at HT in games. (No matter the score. So if the score was already 2-0, I'd do 3+ Goals) - as the price was generous, and there was often a second half goal.!

Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? Would like to see the outcome there, happygooner.

Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? Shoudl do happy G. That sthe general idea I had too. For this one, set every lay price up at 1.95 pre race. Keep them in-play. For every horse that goes below 1.95 you make money. Seems far too good to be true.

Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? Thanks for the feedback DP  Certainly quashes that. :D

Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? Race 1: 9 Horses. 3 Horses hit 1.2 (3 to place) (Great Yar. 15.25) Race 2: 5 Horses. 3 Horses hit 1.2 (3 to place) (Salis. 15.35) Race 3: 8 Horses. 3 Horses hit 1.2 (3 to place) (Bev. 15.45) Race 4: 6 Horses. 4 Horses hit 1.2 (3 to place) (Yarm. 15.55) Race 5: 9 Horses. 4 Horses hit 1.2 (3 to place) (Salis. 16.05) Projected profit if I had genuinely followed the method thus far. Race 1 - +6 Race 2 - +6 Race 3 - +6 Race 4 - -4 Race 5 - -4 Total Profits - +10 So another race with 4 horses getting to the 1.2 - and the profits are being eaten into. Perhaps this wont work after all. Will continue testing a little later.

Race 1 - +6 Race 2 - +6 Race 3 - +6 Race 4 - -4 Total Profits - +14 The first race to cause trouble. 4 of the 6 horses went close, and 1 horse that didn't place even hit 1.03 ..!! Of the horses that went as low as 1.2 - they all had money matched on that amount. 1 more race for now - then I'll give it some more looking into later in the day. -
Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? Ahh. Yes, that does make sense. There seems to be a lot of money in the place market though. In the last race nearly £100,000 was matched. I'll keep an eye open for the actual matching of 1.2 in the next race.

Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work?
How so.? If I were to set my bets to match at 1.2 - would it still take lower? Obviously the 3 winning horses went lower than 1.2 - but they were the only 3 to get as low as 1.2 (if that makes sense)Did they hit 1.2 or go lower than 1.2 though. If it went lower then profit is less. -

Race 1 - +6 Race 2 - +6 Race 3 - +6 Total Profits - +18 Again, only 3 horses hit the 1.2 mark. One horse did get as low as 1.41 - but this is 3/3 so far.

Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? I will do. Race 1: 9 Horses. 3 Horses hit 1.2 (3 to place) (Great Yar. 15.25) Race 2: 5 Horses. 3 Horses hit 1.2 (3 to place) (Salis. 15.35) Only a 5 horse race, but still 3 to be placed. Rather odd. the 2 that didn't place did get quite low, 1 hitting 1.21 and the other 1.5. Projected profit if I had genuinely followed the method thus far. Race 1 - +6 Race 2 - +6 Total Profits - +12

Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? I would first need to find a bot that could hold bets at 1.2
-
Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? Of the 9 horses that ran in the Great Yarmouth race I just watch, the 3 that finished on the podium all hit 1.2. The other 6 horses never got close.
-
Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? The place market is definitely in-play, too. Watching it now.
-
Re: Am I being stupid, or would this work? the 15.25 at Yarmouth place market is in play. I've watched a few other place markets go in play too. More than 3 horses hitting 1.2 in play is a risk I didn't factor in, and perhaps something that nullifies my thoughts :(
-
So in Betfair you can put your price in yada yada yada. Everyone knows I know. I also know there are certain "bots" or external programs for betfair. Now I'm not sure if the bots could do this, but would it not be possible to do the following... Scenario : 10 Horse Race. Place Pot. Most horses are valued at 1.7 and over. So would it not be possible to tell a bot to place a £10 bet on every horse, but to only match it when the price hits 1.2 ? So for the 3 horses that are placed, you win £2 per horse, and for the other 7, the bet never gets matched, so you don't lose your stake. Am I completely off the ball here, or is what I'm saying making any sense, and actually possible?
