  1. Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 5th - 7th

The bookies do seem to rate Sainte really highly which means their prices just aren't juicy enough
Yes, you're prefectly right on that point.
I personally think possibly Lyon are slightly better
Hmm, can't be agree, Lyon is far from their best years. Lyon is a very good team yes, but without Lacazette, Lyon is really not the same. That is, in my point of view the difference with St-Etienne : no star but a really "deep" team. Thanks for your answer and GL for your tips !
  2. Re: Japan j1 league 2014

Kashiwa Reysol are 4th place and will play away against Niigata. They are with 8 consecutive wins and need a win to secure the 4th spot' date=' which will give ACL qualification if Gamba Osaka wins against Montedio Yamagata next saturday in the Emperor's Cup final. Also, it is the last match of Nelsinho as Kashiwa manager, and has left an amazing legacy. Players will be up for it, will want the 4th spot and will want to honour their manager. I'm expecting Kashiwa to win and odds have been shortening a bit. 2.1 at the moment, could be a good value still. 35% confidence.[/quote'] Hello JuMeSyn, just a question : if Kashiwa win this fixture with two goal difference are they qualified in ACL as they will have the same goal diffrence than Tosu (+8) but more goals scored ? I don't find the rules of J-League in case of draw in the final table ? Thanks in advance !
  3. Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 5th - 7th Hello folks, I'm very suprised how many people underestimate St-Etienne this season. Yes, they did not impress anybody by spectacular results but they are very solid team, without any star this year (remember Aumbameyang two years ago....), team is relatively the same since 2-3 years, very stable club, very solid defence, big and patient foundations. yes, I'm from Saint-Etienne but from a betting point of view (not a fan view, I'm 38 years old, so passion is relatively behind me ;-) ), but I'm certain that they can catch 3rd or 4th place of French Ligue 1 without problem. Lille, Rennes, Monaco, Bordeaux or even Lyon are not as "stable" than us this season. Maybe yes, we haven't got a serial goleador but the gameplay is OK since months. I don't want to say that you must bet every week on St-Etienne, but be careful to bet against them in local championship. And so many times here, I see predictions against us. Why ? Saint-Etienne is far more solid than Rennes or Bordeaux, for example. I wanted to write this thread long time ago since I read you, meatman (I want to say that I love your french predictions !), as I see you not very convinving by Les Verts this season... And I'm wondering why ? If you can reply, I'm very interrested by your point of view, just for discussion, no offense at all of course. And again, keep your (very) good work, i read you each week, your analyses are wonderful, a veeeery good work ! Cheers... and Allez les Verts ! PS : I doubt of my english language, so... sorry

  4. Re: UEFA Europa League > August 20th & 21st Hello, I'm from Saint-Etienne. After the disaster of last year against Ejsberg, Saint-Etienne will do all they can to go to group stages. And Thursday, they will field their best team. They begin the championship with two convincing wins, scoring 5 goals. Erding is on fire with 3 goals. He will play upfront and is very motivated to score against a turkish team. van Wolfswinkel should be on the bench. I don't know if Saint-Etienne will win, but they are 100 % focused on this match. And only one player (Monnet-Paquet) of the eleven probably starters wasn't in the team of last year, players knows all to play together, no problem with usual difficulties when the season start. Probably team : Ruffier - Perrin, Saal, Hamouma, Tabanou - Lemoine, Clément, Cohade - Monnet-Paquet, Gradel, Erding. Subs : Moulin, Théophile Catherine, Nyemeck, Diomandé, van Wolfswinkel. As it's very difficult to know the real difference of quality between this two teams, i think to bet small on Saint-Etienne @1.95 Pinnacle. No value but good odds anyway for a very motivated side. Have good bets and sorry for my english...

  5. Re: Coupe de la Ligue > December 17th & 18th

PSG - ASSE: both to score @2 Also they have lost their main weapon Aubameyang this summer, Saint-Etienne have scored in 14 of their 15 matchs this season. PSG is without Alex, Maxwell and Jallet in defence. Saint-Etienne is the defending champion of this cup, they will fighting for sure. PSG have not win against Saint-Etienne since two years and 4 matches (1-2, 0-0, 2-2, 2-2). Also Ibra is suspended, I think that both team could find the net tonight. Odds near @2 (betway, stan james) are valuable in my eyes (only @1.70 in poor french bookies). Good luck and Allez les Verts ;-)
    1-1 78' WON
  6. Re: Coupe de la Ligue > December 17th & 18th

Absolutely ridiculous time of year for this round to take place, I have no idea what the LFP was thinking tbh. Auxerre, Lyon, Nice, Evian, Toulouse, PSG, Bordeaux & Troyes are my predictions to progress into QFs. But as always, I won't be betting on the CDL, it's usually a minefield
    Minefield... You're absolutely right !
  7. Re: Super tip Evian vs. Bastia (Coupe de la Ligue) Again and again, cup matches are full of surprises... Like number of punters, i've finally bet on Evian tonight cause of the absences in Bastia team... And the Corses win at half-time... Publics bets... publics ennemies of bettors... Let's see in second half. And hope that Saint-Etienne will score a goal against PSG in second half, they had some chances in first half but PSG, even without Ibra, is really Champion's League material this year and it seems that they growing up match after match, really impressive, really... @13 for PSG win the Champion's League ? I will really think about it in 2014, they are not impressive offensively like Bayern or last years Barça, but they are so realistic when they have to... But "Allez les Verts" tonight !! Cheers ;-)

  9. Re: Europa League 18th of March I'm french, not an Marseille or Lille fan but since 6-7 years, i don't understand why bookmakers and football fans don't understand that french football is now at a very good level. If you have watched the first round, Marseille should have won in Lisbon and Lille was at the same level with Liverpool. So, for me, very clear value on Marseille -0.5 and Lille +1. My call : OM 2 - 0 Benfica Liverpool 1 - 1 Lille (extratime, so...) PS : Sorry for my poor english ;) PPS : I'm from St-Etienne... It is difficult for me to write that but remember that Lyon was better than Real Madrid in two legs... You will understand what is the french level now...

  10. Re: UEFA Cup ( 18-19 02 2009 ) Hello, i'm from Saint-Etienne... Like I did when Les Verts played in Copenagen (1-3) or against Rosenborg (3-0), i just advice you that Saint-Etienne is a French team with great players which have european level... Latest results against best French teams : - Bordeaux -ASSE 0-1 (cup) - Lyon - ASSE 1-1 - PSG - ASSE 2-1 I swear you that Saint-Etienne can take the draw or the win in Athens tonight... That is not sure, of course, but this team is plenty of great players : Gomis, Mirallas, Payet, Ilan, Talvaridis... My call : 1-1 cause oly (and greek team in general) is always hard to break at home... But I think Saint-Etienne will pass this round. So..... enormous value bet for me ! Saint-Etienne +0.5 @ 2,49 Pinnacle 4/10 PS :Return leg : ASSE 3 - Oly 1 PPS : DON'T FOLLOW ME...... I'm a Saint-Etienne fan, but, this year I have made some greats profits on UEFA Cup with Saint-Etienne... Imagine the odds if it was Marseille or Bordeaux against Oly... Saint-Etienne, Marseille and Bordeaux are likely the same level... So... Value bet ! Goooood luck to all tipsters and again............ Allez les Verts !!!!!

  11. Re: UEFA Cup - Thursday 6th October 2008

Hello folks ! As I said last time against Copenhagen, I think that Saint-Etienne can do the job tonight. Ok, they don't have good results at all in local championship. Ok, coach Laurent Roussey is in danger... But, but... Again and again it is Norvegian side against French side. And this French side is not playing so bad. saint-Etienne have problems in defence, yes, but they stay a solid team ! And Saint-Etienne play in is "Caldron" ! Two heavy defeats against Grenoble and Lorient, a good match but a new defeat against OM last saturday. I think that is too much. Saint-Etienne played well against Marseille, better than their last two home defeats. If they play like they do against Marseille, Saint-Etienne can trash Rosenborg who don't have good results in local championship too ! ! Maybe I wouldn't have bet if the odds haven't rising. But now, it is really too much : Saint-Etienne -0,75 @2.13 Pinnacle is a goood value in my eyes ! My call : Saint-Etienne 3 - Rosenborg 0 GL ! icon_wink.gif
    FT 3-0 :cheers

  13. Re: Champions League Group Stage: Matchday 4- Tuesday 4th November

I think the value of the day is Bordeaux. They are going well now in French Championship, they play better and better and Gourcuff is now a big leader of the team. It is the last chance for Girondins to dream of a qualification against a team who don't have the same results as last year... even if they have made a really good job against Chelsea last week. Against Bordeaux, Cluj must attack in order to get points so their will be many place for Bordeaux and Cavenaghi to score at least... one goal. So, for me, Bordeaux +0,25 (@1,943 Pinnacle) is a real value bet ! Score prediction : 0-1 GL :cheers
    FT 1-2 ;)

  15. Re: UEFA Cup - Thursday 23rd Oct 08

I have to disagree with that. SE are without 3 important players. They managed to score 6 goals in 9 games. Away record stands at 0-1-4. They lost away on Saturday to lousy Nantes. Where will they find any goals in this game? CO are in full strength (apart from few long time injuries). They are typical home team with record of 5-0-0. You have to remember, they beat Celtic and Man U at home last year. Copenhagen @2.2 7/10
I know the match is ended and saint-Etienne won 3-1. But I would like to answer with respect of course cause i'm not a good tipster at all. I said that 3 or + for an away win in this match was really surprising. In this kind of international clash, actual form and home/away record are not enough to compare teams. I mean that quality of domestic league is very important. It was the 5th French club who travel in Danemark yesterday. French clubs are so poor in international scene that books underestimate them and forget that our championship is not a poor one (I don't mean that danich league is a poor one !!!!) And thanks for this sensationnal betting forum ! :ok I would love to contribute more case i'm a big fan of meatman, mcfly and others "mega"tipsters... but i have not enough time to.... Bye :cheers
  16. Re: UEFA Cup - Thursday 23rd Oct 08 Hello, some of you know that i'm from Saint-Etienne but... When i was waiting for the odds, i was waiting for @2,5/2,8 for a Saint-Etienne win. Saint-Etienne will certainly go in Danemark with the best team they can have at the moment. Landrin (midfield) and Dabo (defender), both importants, are injured, like Ilan, but Saint-Etienne have some decents substitutes this year (Mirallas, for example who will travel in Copenhagen). Indeed, UEFA Cup is very important for Saint-Etienne (their return to Europe after 25 years without this competition), and they don't want to give up early in this competition. So, to stay alive until the reception of Valencia... Saint-Etienne must take point(s) from this encouter. Coach Laurent Roussey, who don't rest any player, said yesterday : "All points must be taken (...) With six points, we are qualified". So, Saint-Etienne +0,25 @1,962 is a nice value in my eyes cause Les Verts can take at least one point from this travel. Their position in Frech leagu is not brilliant so earlier they would be qualified, better it will be for domestic league... But I need some informations from Danish friends and will wait for the definitive line-up. Good luck to all ! :ok

  17. Re: Champions League: Group Stage: Matchday 2- Tuesday 30th September Hello guys, this is my first pick of the new season... I will go against the wind and will bet on Bayern straight win tonight (odds are rising, so i will wait the last minute to take best odds). Ok in their respective league Bayern and Lyon don't have the same level at the moment but I can't trust Lyon this year. Once again, french championship is very poor in terme of quality. Marseille, Paris, Bordeaux and the others won't give Lyon a fight. So I think that Lyon's results until now are not significative. Jsut remember the only european match of Lyon : OL - Fiorentina (2-2). The french were really lucky to come back in this match. They could easily lose it. This match can be the revival one for Bayern in front of their fans. Very small stakes on this second round, as always. Good luck :ok
