Anyone got any thoughts as to how it will run in this shorter trip, bearing in mind it's handicap ?

Re: Milan to win Uefa Cup I wouldn't touch Milan with a bargepole. I think they will concentrate on the league.

Re: What is Longchamps like Interesting Steve. According to Sportinglife it was his last run. So what is his form since that race at Longshamps ?(7th October)

Re: What is Longchamps like I think its more to do with the ground being firm today.

I noticed that Yeats came third to a horse that is running today. Is there much significance in this ?

Re: 2.50 plumpton lay He says "and i won £100", which suggests he probably backed the winner at sp. Saw the race myself despite not knowing a great deal about horses. I thought those odds were strange.

Re: Enjoyed watching Cheltenham on the box What made you stop betting for a while, a big loss or something ? I'm stating the obvious here, but it's bloody tough picking a winner. The vast majority of people on the table are in red with their predictions. I'm not a big gambler, but i hope to not get into the habit of betting for the sake of it, or boredom. Football coupons are easier i think.

I don't usually bet on horses because i'm clueless, but thought i'd have some small bets for the festival. I went pretty solidly, breaking evens or slightly above which is not bad for first time around. I got a good buzz out of it i must say, and each of my three winners came in my first bets of each race(after that i was shafted) ! when Captain cee bee won on the first day i jumped up and smacked my head of the metal light shade.:loon All in all it was good to watch, but i doubt i'd be saying that if it wasn't for a bit of luck.

Re: what do you think of this bet Good luck Tam. We all need a bit of luck anyway.:ok

Re: Denman drifting? How do we all fancy for this one ? mileni, think there's any of chance of anyone others that den or KS winnin it ?

Re: Yup, Yup Yup - Another free £5 bet (Blue Sq) Right so does anyone know what race todays can be used on since Cheltenham is cancelled.

Re: Champions League (Feb 20th) I'm not touching the Celt Barca game with a barge pole. Everyones best bet is combining coupons from past weekend or weekend coming up with this midweek coupon. If Hartley plays right back then that is far from ideal, he's too slow for a right back at such a high level.

Re: Champions League (Feb 20th)
I bet you said Man Utd would be Celtic aswell.:cowvery optimistic lads ur bettin with ur hearts rather than ur heads.. barca will beat celtic hands down and are only team t beat em in europe i wudn read too much into that but with the quality on display henry eto'o messi ronaldinho iniesta the celts wont need to go t nou camp 4 2nd leg theyll be well beaten.. 3-1 t barca get on at 16s -
Re: Champions League (Feb 19th) I like to combine weekends with midweeks, so this time my selections are. Marseilles(they beat PSG) Liverpool Arsenal 10/1 I fancy Liverpool to come back with a bit of bite after recent problems, and the bigger players will be back. Arsenal have a real toughy against Milan, but i fancy their players to stretch that Milan team who have a great calibre in this competition. There could be very little in either game, but i liked the odds. I'm not too optimistic about the Barca game, although United nuts comments have little substance behind them. Especially when you consider Celtic beat Man Utd at home last time round.:ok

Re: 47 (8 members & 39 guests) Cheers for the help lads. Fingers crossed that i pick a winner or two along the way.:nana

Re: 47 (8 members & 39 guests) Cheers mate. Where's the table ?

Re: 47 (8 members & 39 guests) What brief tips would you give to a novice. I don't expect the family recipe or anything.

Re: 47 (8 members & 39 guests) I joined yesterday. I'm pretty much just looking to pick up on some advice. I must admit i'm clueless about horse racing. I thought i'd look in because my football coupon has been bollox of late. :ok
