  1. Re: bbotd 18th ascot345 BATED BREATH 1 pt win 10/1 hills BPG highly progressive sprinter that deserves this step up in class. stable really do believe that its a group horse so todays the day. slight worry regards the low draw but should handle the going and looks a fair bet at the current odds.

  2. Re: bbotd friday ascot305 FULGAR 1pt win 14/1 bet365 BPG two promising runs so far this term and an eyecatching 3rd lto staying on well at the finish. should cope with the sofening ground today and would be a welcome winner for the cumani yard. in an open looking event this one is certainly a lively outsider and has already been supported in the market this morning.

  3. ascot535 WELL SHARP 1pt win 40/1 paddy power BPG had shaped nicely this year and won lto albeit in a 3 runner affair. this race today is slightly more competitive to say the least but my fellow may benefit for the step up in trip and could just surprise at big odds.

  4. Re: BBOTD ~ Saturday york 315 DESERT LAW 1pt win 6/1 bet365 BPG highly regarded sprinter that should hopefully go one better than on seasonal debut. stable really do believe that they have a very smart one who could well be contesting group races before the end of the year. must therefore go close today if thats the case.

  5. Re: BBOTD Friday 10th goodwood645 PROPER CHARLIE 1pt win 16/1 paddy power BPG has had plenty of chances to lose its maiden tag but has run respectably on a few occasions. this race will not take much winning and i reckon this runner is overpriced. local trainer knows the score round this track and is the value bet for me against the two market principles.

  6. Re: BBOTD - Thursday 9th June nottingham435 LUCY LIMELITES 1pt win 6/1 v.chandler BPG big disappointment on seasonal debut when last of five runners, beaten favourite and pulled too hard before weakening. blinkers on today and has questions to answer but could still have improvement to come of this sort of handicap mark.

  7. Re: BBOTD 7th May haydock340 BALLYBRIGGAN 0.5pt ew 12/1 bet365 BPG decent novice from the john quinn stable that has shown plenty of promise over the last twelve months or so and comes here fresh having missed the cheltenham festival. could run a mighty race off 10-10 with richie macgrath in the saddle. certainly has the potential to take a decent handicap either today or in the near future.

  8. Re: Jump Racing SAt 16th April

Ayr 4:00: Russian War has a 7lb rise after winning at Aintree on Saturday, this looks a fair rise and he should go well after a drop in class with a less competitive edge to the race. If he recovers well, and seeing that he has been entered only a week after a great run at Aintree, the yard surely must fancy him to make it 2/2 and so do I. 15/8 win.
have to agree with you Cal mate - has outstanding claims as does gordon elliott's only other runner on the card CHICAGO GREY in the big one, the scottish grand national at 325. took the NH chase at the festival in the style of a most progressive chaser and looks to have all the credentials to go well given its impressive jumping. its attractively weighted with just 10-9 and is proven over the trip. methinks the double could pay the best part of 20/1 at early prices and i'll have some of that sir:ok
  9. Re: BBOTD Saturday 16th ayr325 CHICAGO GREY 1pt win 6/1 ladbrokes BPG won the 4 mile chase at the festival in great style and surely has all the credentials to take the world of beating in this race. jumps well, stays the trip and is still progressing. has 10-9 to carry which is a very attractive weight and hails from the bang in form stable of gordon elliott. can easily see this beast tanking along turning into the final straight and romping away from its field.

  10. Re: BBOTD ~ 15 April ayr325 DOOR BOY 1pt win 6/1 boylesports BPG back down the weights and down in grade quite significantly after contesting some hot handicaps this season. hopefully todays the day this beast can return to the decent form of last year. promising young jockey takes the rides claiming a valuable 5lbs.

  11. Re: BBOTD 14th April cheltenham430 BENBANE HEAD 1pt win 6/1 betfred BPG rather missed the boat on the price of this one but nevertheless worth a go. reportedly made a noise lto when disappointing at newbury and alleged to have had a wind operation since, runs here with a tongue tie and connections do believe that this one can finally show its true running today. having played on this a few times and lost im giving it one last chance.

  12. Re: Best Bet of the Day - Sat 9th April aintree145 MARINGO BAY 0.5pt ew 33/1 bet365 BPG a speculative selection in a race dominated by cheltenham festival novices. this fellow missed the festival but nevertheless is held in high regard by connections and is thrown in today against some top class opposition. on the ratings it has a mountain to climb and has been priced up accordingly but im hopeful of it running well and maybe sneaking a place.

  13. Re: BBOTD 8th April aintree340 MON PARRAIN 1pt win 5/1 bet365 BPG quite literally this young french bred chaser from the paul nicholls yard could be anything and with a clear round should have too much in hand today against a field of exposed handicappers. jumped particularly well when winning impressively lto at sandown. yet winner on the board for ruby methinks.

  14. Re: best bet of the day - thurs 7th april aintree230 PALAWI 0.5pt ew 25/1 ladbrokes BPG likeable youngster from the john quinn stable that has been running with much credit at a lower level than most of the opposition and is pitched in today for the acid test. has gained experience with several impressive front running performances and could quite easily surprise a lot of people today on this flat track which will suit its style of running.

  15. Re: Best Bet Of The Day - Weds 6th April beverley310 FOL HOLLOW 1pt win 14/1 victor chandler BPG was 4th in this last year and won it the previous year so without doubt i reckon this dandy nicholls runner will be primed for this race today. has some good early season form the last few years and is on a lower handicap mark than when placed 12 months ago so every reason to believe that it will be able to go close. adrian nicholls riding from the pick of three of his father's horses is in itself a tip imo. the high draw may seem to be a disadvantage but im not totally convinced as quite a few winners last year came up the middle of the track so id be hopeful of a decent run.

  16. Re: Best Bet Of The Day - Sunday 3rd April doncaster455 WELL SHARP 0.5pt ew 9/1 hills BPG from the yard that sent out the lincoln winner yesterday this unexposed 3yo is well regarded by connections and could easily be way ahead of its handicap mark. holds entries in several valuable 3yo races later on in the season so im hopeful it should be able to go well in this. whilst this race is highly competitive and the favourite from the john dunlop stable could potentially be very smart im happy to side with Well Sharp at the odds.

  17. Re: Cammidge Trophy Sprint Donny Sat 2nd April interesting to see what dandy runs in this listed sprint and which one he jocks his son on. id be interested in SILAAH if it was turned out after last weeks fine effort when just getting touched off in the listed sprint on the all weather at lingfield. this one has improved no end this year having shot up the ratings quite dramatically following a couple of impressive all weather victories and a gallant 2nd over in dubai. its certainly a sprinter in form and highly progressive. interestingly it does have a much lower turf rating than its all weather one so if connections decide to give it an outing in a handicap instead it could be something of a good thing for sure. either way it certainly is a beast worth noting wherever it turns out next. one other cammidge entry that took the eye was the roger charlton trained BATED BREATH who looks a improving type as a 3yo last year and could quite easily develop into a very smart prospect on this years sprinting scene. agree with you CPO that Prime Defender looks like it has certainly been aimed at the race as in previous years and sets the standard for the others to aim at. all being well we could be in for a fascinating renewal.

  18. Re: BBOTD 26th March newbury250 WHOOPS A DAISY 0.5pt ew 8/1 bet365 BPG missed several engagements at the festival and runs here instead. in a race that its trainer likes to win this one is probably he best chance from a handful of entries. progressive mare thats without doubt one to follow until beaten id say.

  19. Re: BBOTD 24th March carlisle325 PATAVIUM 0.5pt ew 6/1 bet365 BPG a duel winner on the flat last year and made an encouraging seasonal debut over hurdles this year when 3rd at catterick. its run last time can be forgotten as the saddle slipped during the race and it was pulled up. quietly fancied to run a big race that day and could easily be well handicapped. could be the one that gives the favourite the most to do in this low grade event.

  20. Re: BBOTD - Tuesday 22nd March kempton500 RARE SYMPHONY 1pt win 7/4 paddy power BPG highly unoriginal selection but need a winner to re install a bit of confidence. this one ran a most encouraging race LTO on its handicap debut finishing a very close 2nd (pair clear) in a similar event and goes again today off the same mark. gets weight from every other runner and does looks a winner waiting to happen and could progress further in handicaps.

  21. Re: BBOTD 19th March uttoxeter300 ALFIE SHERRIN 1pt win 12/1 hills BPG interesting that this jonjo inmate runs here after having multiple entries at the festival. may well be the stable "2nd string" here but i would not be at all surprised to see it run a big race in receipt of 20lb from synchronised. the step up in trip today is the big unknown but provided it stays i reckon it can go close.

  22. Re: BBOTD 17th March cheltenham205 CHARTREUX 1pt win 6/1 bet365 BPG sneaks into this race by the skin of its teeth, bottom weight 10-3 and looks all over like the typical pipe plot job. may not be much of a price given the competitive nature of the race but i really do reckon it a blot on the handicap with the potential to dot up. wouldn't at all be surprised to see this one go off at an even shorter price that it is now.
