  1. Re: Northern Ireland > Carling Premiership > 2012/13 I will go against most peoples views and go for a Crusaders win today against Cliftonville @ 8/5, as jackie mentioned earlier if Crusaders lose this game the league is over (not in actual terms) but in the real world it is. Crusaders players were all very hurt by their poor performance in the League Cup final and want to put that right, I think Crusaders best player returns today and probably just a gut feeling but really fancy them today. Other games are all hard to call as there isn't much between them all - DC v Ballinmallard - DC have been up against top teams recently and done alright but the mallards are a tidy wee team that need to keep winning to get into the top 6 before the breakaway. They also are a pacy side and should be too strong for the home team today - AWAY WIN Ballymena v Coleraine - Coleraine haven't lost a derby game in years and I think it will stay that way after todays game, Coleraine had a hard trip away to top ROI team Shamrock Rovers and beat them 1-0 but I fancy a draw today. - DRAW Dungannon v Portadown - I watched Dungannon last week against Linfield and spoke with a few local supporters who confirmed that their team just aren't up to much this season, they took the lead but then run out 4-1 losers to Linfield and looked very weak in midfield and the back. Portadown have to keep winning to make breakaway top 6 and this is a game they must take maximum points from - PORTADOWN Crusaders Ballinmallard Ballymena DRAW Portadown Those 4 selections are 32/1 with William Hill

  2. Re: Northern Ireland > Carling Premiership > 2012/13

Linfield-Cliftonville looks like a high scoring game. These two sides just cannot stop scoring as well as concedeing.Head to head stat show that over 2.5 is the safest bet here...or not?
Only thing against that pick Simeon is that for Cliftonville it is imperative that they don't lose, if they can avoid defeat they will be on their way to the league title. On the other hand Linfield must win this game and will be going all out to win this game, they have been playing well recently beating top teams - Crusaders & glentoran and winning at a canter against Glenavon on Saturday. It's tough picking this round of fixtures - Crusaders v Portadown should see goals and I am not sure how Crusaders will hold up to 3 games in 6 days, Portadown have signed top scorer from Southern Ireland League - Gary Twigg but he is unavilable for this fixture. Ballinamallard are still surprising people with their pace & performances + Distillery conceding 9 in last 3 games I can see the Mallards taking the 3 points here, probably safer going with away win and 11/10 but the -1 goal for Mallards at 11/4 is tempting My pick though is Coleraine v glentoran to be more than 2.5 goals, the stats would go against me with Coleraine being unders 8 times in last 10 games but the glens are scoring quite regularly although being 4 times unders in last 10 games. They have though scored 10 in last 3 games. I just feel both teams need a much required win and tiredness could see chances appearing for both teams. Pick Coleraine v glentoran +2.5 goals @ 4/6 Also look at Crusaders +2.5 goals 8/13, Ballinamallard 11/10 @ 5.65/1
  3. Re: Northern Ireland > Carling Premiership > 2012/13

Irish fellows it seems that Glentoran and Cliftonville will achieve big wins this weekend.Cliftonville defeated their rivals during the midweek and if they don't win against Dungannon their Linfield's defeat will be for nothing.Glentoran should win comfortably too but i will wait for you to respond Thank you
I agree with Cliftonville who although didn't play well scrapped the win, that might act as a wake up call to their players and you could see a few goal win here for the Reds. I would slightly beware of glentoran, they had a tought game with 10 men for nearly 85mins 2 days ago and will be tired as a team. Donegal Celtic have shown good fighting spirit since their new manager took over and can score goals, the glens should win but don't spend big on them. My tip for tomorrows games has to be Linfield @ 10/11, they have been playing well in the last few games and getting their mojo back. They should of won by a far larger margin against glentoran but no luck and poor finishing they only scored the 2. Glenavon are a strange team and can play good one week then really poor the next, squad size and quality favours Linfield by a large slice and I really can't see by an away win. Maybe even a -1 bet should prevail. So my choice is Linfield at 10/11 @ will hill Portadown game +2.5 @ 8/13 & Cliftonville -1 @ 10/11 also worth a look = 5.55/1
  4. Re: Northern Ireland > Carling Premiership > 2012/13 Derby Day all around tomorrow in the Irish League, biggest game will be at Cliftonville where they take on Crusaders - 1st v 2nd. I watched Crusaders play Linfield on Saturday and they were poor, very lucky to get a last minute equaliser. Linfield aren't the best this season but really should of won that game. Cliftonville also had a rest with their game being cancelled and will be far fresher going into tomorrows game. So my choice is Cliftonville at evens with will hill Other potential winners could be Coleraine & Ballinamallard while Glenavon are in good form and look interesting at 12/5

  5. Re: Northern Ireland > Carling Premiership > 2012/13 Not much value in tonights match between Cliftonville and Distillery, Cliftonville should win quite easily but you are looking the Reds to win by 4 clear goals or more at 11/4 - not worth it for me. With the Reds a cert to win with plenty of pressure from the home team I am going to go for the William Hill match treble - Cliftonville to win, more than 12 corners and more than 6 cards @ 22/1 I feel the first 2 options of the treble will happen ok and hopefully the ref will want to show off since he is on tv and brandish the cards freely!!

  6. Re: Northern Ireland > Carling Premiership > 2012/13

Agree with Jackie above that Crusaders should have too much for DC' date=' Crusaders are a top team here while DC normally frequent the bottom few places. One team I have a good feeling about is Ballinamallard away to Glenavon. Watched Glenavon last week and although they nearly won but ended up drawing they just don't look a good team, the pace of the Mallards will trouble a slow Glenavon defence and with odds of 7/5 with paddypower they seem a good shout[/quote'] Crusaders & Ballinamallard both win - happy days

  8. Re: Northern Ireland > Carling Premiership > 2012/13 Having watched Cliftonville destroy current champions Linfield last Saturday I am all over them @ 10/11 tomorrow on Will Hill. They have built a very good squad and now seem to have depth and some top quality players. Ballymena are missing quite a few players and struggling for various positions Coleraine really need to win this game against Dungannon and I feel they will win by a couple of goals. Another team who really need to win is my team Linfield, 12 points nehind the league leaders they really need to start winning again, Glenavon shouldnt offer that much to stop us. Distillery really are a poor team and must be favourites to go down this season, their manager McCann is struggling with his first taste of football management and his former team glentoran should win tomorrow although not by that many goals as they are strugging with injuries. So bet for tomorrow in Irish league is : Cliftonville Coleraine Linfield -1 goal glentoran Just over 8/1 on William Hill

  9. Re: Football treble betting Gave your strategy a go tonight, easy to do. Pick your 3 teams and go into each one and chose the 3 scorelines, once all 3 teams and scorelines chosen William Hill gave you the option of doubles or trebles = 27 bets. For first time just stuck 10p on each costing me £2.70. The potential winnings was quoted as £173 3 teams are - Sporting Gijon Excelsior Connah's Quay Fingers crossed

  10. Re: Irish Leagues & Cups 2011 Todays bet for me looks to be Cliftonville -1 goal - The reds have been on one hell of a winning run, I think it's 14 games in a row. The are beating all around them and with Rory Donnelly scoring for fun a win today by a couple of goals shouldn't be an issue. Distillery are far better away from home with 2 wins and 4 draws from 9 while losing 7 times at home, but I still feel they will struggle against a tip top Reds team. Coleraine -1 goal - Coleraine are a team wanting to push on for a higher position, they have some quality players throughout the team and in Allen, Knight 2 top forwards who can score you plenty of goals. Today they play a Dungannon side who are having a poor season and are sitting on just under half the amount of points Coleraine have. Can't see past a home win here and hoping for some goals from their front two. Linfield - Now onto my team, Linfield having been playing that well this season but getting the results. 2 weeks ago at same ground we tanked Carrick scoring some cracking goals. The pitch isn't a problem to us and it won't play a part today. We are still missing some top quality forwards in Thompson and Patterson but have able replacements in McAllister and Carvill. Goals from midfielder Lowry really help the team too while Mulgrews creates goal chances. Still not 100% sure of our defence though. Crusaders like Dungannon aren't having their normal type of season, currently sitting in 5th 13 points behind Linfield isn't their normal fare. They are another team better away from home. This will be tight but I think Linfield will pull through by the odd goal. All William Hill @ 8.18/1 Cliftonville -1 - 3/4 Coleraine -1 - 6/4 Linfield - 11/10

  11. Re: UEFA Europa League > Wednesday 15th December FC Utrecht @ 7/1 with Skybet Liverpool have qualified as group winners (99.9%) while Utrecht with a win might see them scrape through in second depending on how many goals they score and if Steaua draw in Napoli. This gives the dutch team plenty to play for and value at 7\1 especially if Liverpool rest players with the EPL game against Fulham coming up on Saturday. Also don't forget how poor Liverpool are at the minute, Newcastle had an easy 3-1 win on Saturday and Liverpool looked disheartened. Small stakes I have added them to Villarreal, Dortmund and PSG to make 83/1. Would be a nice £5 spent if all 4 come in!

  12. Re: UEFA Champions League > 13th - 14th July Linfield are my team and I have good connections with the club, Rosenborg are top seeds in this rounds and well worth their favourite status. Last year against Randers was our worst performance in some time, the previous season we lost 2-0 at home (a 92nd minute goal) and drew 1-1 away in Zagreb. This season we have re-signed our top striker from England and another good young defender from Scottish football. I still can't see us getting anything from this game though, Rosenborg should be too strong especially with them being in mid season.

  13. Re: CL matches - return leg - 6-7/3

:rollin :lol :rollin Your credibility just went with that ! Anyway, back on topic? Celtic could qualify, if they can score, because I certainly believe Milan will.
Goram was a cracking keeper and beat Celtic on his own sometimes, not sure if he was world classthough, Nicholas - not a chance. Milan are to strong for Celtic, and with Celtics away form being so bad I can only see a HOME win. Milan ain't no Motherwell or Dunfermline!
  14. Re: International Friendlies - 8th/9th Feb

Don't know if this is blind faith but I really see N.Ireland beating Canada tonight. We have been due a home win for some time and having been hitting the bar recently. Although Canada are above us in the rankings I see us scoring a couple of goals tonight. Some of the fringe players brought in for tonight have a point to prove for our next game - England away. Healy our top scorer has also passed a fitness test and will start. Canada have left some of their better players out and are trying some younger ones. N.Ireland 1/1 N.Ireland -1 goal 13/5
SHOCKING, Still cant get over this game. Don't ever listen to me again... :unsure
