  1. Re: International Friendlies ( 10-11 Feb,´09 ) Hey fellow gamblers, plenty of games tonight, ive tried to stick to a treble and not get too carried away. I found amazing odds online with Ladbrokes, but due to a few problems im playing cash in hand at Corals, who do shit odds lol. Ok here goes, my selection: Spain V England: England to win @ 2/1 France V Argentina: Argentina to win @ 8/5 Portugal V Finland: Portugal to win @ 4/11 £10 pays £106.36 Since November 2006, Spain have played 28, W25, D3, L0. Carlos Puyol is missing tonight, and the only Spanish played to be killin it this season is David Villa, is he back from a minor injury he picked up a few weeks back? England have a freshness about them, the likes of Milner, C.Cole, A.Young, Agbonglahor etc. Pace and Power should be enough to see this through for them, even against the Euro champs. I fancy it. I hope R.Green starts in goal as he should clearly be number 1 by a mile. Beckham gets his 108th cap tonight, don't be shocked if he pulls a free kick or somethin outa the bag, its called destiny. France have become something of a joke in all seriousness, they drew their last game 0-0 with some country that is so bad at football I can't even remember their name. Benzema just isn't there yet at international level, he has a lot of learning to do and is far too young and inexperienced at international level to take down the Argentinians, do I really need to explain why I fancy Maradona's men to win this game? Portugal haven't played well at all under Quieroz, but better late than never, pressure is on even although its a friendly, expect Ronaldo to be on the score sheet tonight against a Finland team who really shouldnt be much of a match for the class of the Portuguese. Wish me luck, haha :hope

  2. Re: Croatia v Turkey - 2nd Quarter Final Croatia Vs Turkey This game is as even as can be, I can't believe the bookies are giving 4.50 on Turkey, thats suicide!! Ive take Croatia on £50 for the win, keeping my stakes small after a big loss last night. Away to Italy on monday for a month, dont wana be skint! lol Turks have their main keeper absent with Servet the central defender looking doubtful. However the more I think about this game the more I am bemused in working out who will win. Turkey have had real luck on their side in this tournament so far, but Croatia have worked hard, organised well and stayed strong through out. Therefore Croatia it has to be, plus you gotta love Bilic's sideline actions! Enough....time will tell! Croatia 1.83 - Ladbrokes :beer

  3. Re: Portugal v Germany -1st Quarter Final Portugal Vs Germany I fancy Portugal to reach the final, so therefore I am backing them whoever their opponents. Fear others but do not fear Germany, they are struggling to score, and seem to rely to heavily on Klose, who has had a shit tournament so far, and this Gomez is absolute balls, did anybody see his miss from a yard out when he put it over the bar?? Podolski is carrying the Germans on his back, and Ballack doesn't really seem to be very inspiring, yes great goal the other night but other than that all he does is moan at the ref, that aint gona help you! Also Germany without their manager is a huge blow, with Scolari leaving the Portugese at the end of the tournament, they will be more determined than ever to show that they are not affected by this and to repay him in all his hard work. You have to fancy Portugal to qualify for the next round at 1.72. The German defence as we all know is slow, with Lehmann well past his best. The likes of Deco's magic, and Ronaldo, Simao, Moutinho, Quaresma and Nani, all I see here is too much power, pace, and magic for the Germans to handle. I will be playing Portugal Qualify Next round 1.72 for £500 Also Portugal win in 90 mins at 2.37 for £150 :ok

  4. Re: Russia v Sweden Ooh tough game to call, however I am going to go with Russia, as you should in a game like this always expect the unexpected. Im up during the course of the tournament, thank to the Turks!! Anyway Sweden have a struggling to Ibrahimovic who probably won't last 90mins, yes he can score but if he isn't fully fit it's a disadvantage no matter who you are. Larsson is a legend who is clearly past it, and Isaksson is over rated by 8 goals! (Man City - Middlesbrough). Russia got pumped 4-1 in their first game against Spain, and although the scoreline tells different they did create enough good chances to score, as well as recording a victory against the European champions. With a man of Guus Hiddinks stature in charge, I believe Russia have enough confidence and ability to see this one through! Also Arshavin could be back. Im taking Russia win at 2.50 with Ladbrokes :ok

  5. Re: Holland v France (Friday) The French have a big hole in midfield, with Zidane (Legend) having retired. In the first game against Romania, we saw that nobody had what it took to step up to the plate and grab the game by the balls and dictate the play. The french attitude was shocking, they played the game as if they thought they were too good to try against a weaker opponent who should have punished them for it. Despite the past glory, players such as Thuram, Makelele, Sagnol etc need to be shown the exit door. They are at pensioner level now and can't keep up with the game. Look at the Dutch, they were not quite there for a few years, as Van Basten took them through a changing process, clearing the squad of the likes of Davids, Seedorf, Stam etc. He brought in fresh youngsters with real energy and buzz to play a fast paced game. France left out Mexes, Pedretti, Trezeguet etc this is going to cost them dearly. Henry clearly isnt fit but makes the bench, Trezeguet scoring goals for fun doesnt get picked?? Raymond who?? I will be hoping for a Netherlands victory and really can't see the French troubling them. Unless the main man Benzema turns it on, but with people like Malouda and Anelka around him, I dont see it happening. Despite all this, I am going to play the goal line as I see great value here at 1.70 for Over 1.5/2.0 - Ladbrokes

  6. Re: Italy v Romania (Friday) It would take a brave man to bet for the world champions to lose 2 games in a row. Just can't see it happening, but then again I bet nobody saw Germany getting beat last night. Romanian football is once again on the rise, but at this moment in time they surely don't have what it takes to beat the Italians. Everybody is talking about Italy looking vulnerable at the back, just because Cannavaro is missing. In my opinion this is not the case, firstly I do agree that Panucci should never be playing centre back, where is Barzagli or Andreolli?? These boys have great talent. Zambrotta or Chiellini at left back with Zaccardo or Panucci at right back. I believe Italy are weak up front, Luca Toni is a good target man, but Di Natale is nowhere near International quality. Del Piero is a legend and should be starting every game, this 4-3-3 doesn't suit the Italians, they need to play 4-4-2. If I was Donadoni I would start this game 4-4-2, with Del Piero and Cassano up front. Another problem is the way the national team has treated Francesco Totti, forcing him to turn his back on the team and retire. Despite all this I think Italy will just have what it takes to get past Romania. I will be betting with Ladbrokes at 8/13 - not the best but im on a roll with them just now!

  7. Re: Euro 2008 Qualifiers - Weds 21st Nov If you were ever to bet on England to win, this is the time. The players, staff and everybody else knows a draw is far too risky to play for and especially after been given another life line thanks to Israel, England simply can't afford to sit back and count who is the highest paid player. This game is more than a World Cup Final if you ask me. England knows, and England expects, now is the time to deliver, and without Rooney and Owen, also me main man Rio Ferdinand, England will win. I would put my life on it. at 1/2 not the best price but could have been worse. £1000 and u got £500 profit. Well worth it, especially if you really do call yourself a true fan. If you were to buy the best seats at Wembley you'd be looking at £1000 no problem, so why not back that seat on a win!! Its all about having balls, if you aint got 'em then you shouldn't be gambling! ENG-ER-LAND!!!!!!

  8. Re: Champions League Wednesday 07 Nov ok peeps, here it is, Treble for Man Utd, Inter and Fenerbahce. £250 returns £695. Man Utd game is more than a banker, shame the odds are way shit! Inter are not the best in Europe but are at home and should win comfortably considering they play to their potential, and that David Suazo is it?? Get him off the starting eleven, he is piss! lol, Finally with odds of 10/11 i think it was, its a good value bet to add in Fenerbahce, they are at home and hardly any teams go to Turkey and win, let alone PSV who are without a manager and will be low on confidence along with the extreme taunts from the Turksih crowd, I mean we all saw how Liverpool were humiliated, yeh I call it humiliation if they can go away and get beat and yet win the same game 8-0 at home! PS. Word of advice, do not play Arsenal for the win tonight, far too risky, No Van Persie, Toure, Fabregas, or Rosicky. Arsenal will be happy with a draw as they only need a point to secure qualification! Good luck everyone!

  9. Re: Uefa Cup Thur 25th October

Ok Boss1984' date=' I'm going to back Aberdeen to win! :tongue2 13 minutes after asking about the game, you were sure enough to pick it within your acca! :unsure Good luck with it but usually one that you're not so sure about that throws you out of the win![/quote'] LOL, I know enough about Panathinaikos to tell you that they are better than Aberdeen! Panathinaikos just a few years back were a solid team, maybe not elite, but yet good enough to hold Man Utd to a draw in Athens, whilst also making the knock out stages of the Champions League. Aberdeen on the other hand struggled to score at home in their last European fixture! I cant see the Dons goin over to Athens to spoil the party! :dude
  10. Re: Uefa Cup Thur 25th October Ok here is what I am going for thus far, 6 game acca. I would be here all day if i had to give my reasons, but basically I have checked form, home and away, read you guys' tips and made a few choices myself, if u really must, call it pot luck! AEK Athens to beat Elfsborg Panathinaikos to beat Aberdeen Tottenham to beat Getafe Bolton to beat Braga Zenit to beat AZ Helsingborg to beat Panionios ACCA PAYS 25.16 Looking at these games it looks straight forward. Hear to hoping!

  11. Re: Champions League 23rd/24th October Well done Arsenal last night by the way! flippin hell! Anyway tonights games are very interesting and every game tempts a punt. Im goin with a treble on R.Madrid over 2.5/3.0, Chelsea to win, and Valencia to win. Madrid game i can see both teams scoring. Chelsea will win, simple as that, and Valencia is a tough one away to Rosenborg who did well to draw 1-1 with Chelsea when really they looked like defeating the Blues. I see enough quality in Valencia to see them through this game. Ladbrokes treble pays 4.04! Happy days! Lets hope!

  12. Re: Champions League 23rd/24th October Here's a good tip for anyone unsure of what to play, as once again we are almost spoilt for choice! Man Utd to beat Kiev, Arsenal to beat Prague and over 2.5 in the Roma V Lisbon game. A treble on that is 3.64 If you prefer to look after all yer pennies then a trixie on this coupon is for you! Reasons: Utd are in total dominance in every game since losing 1-0 to Man City, they have come back really strong, keeping 6 clean sheets out of their last 7, I really cant see Kiev troubling us at the back. As for our fire power, its really started to click. Arsenal to be defeated at the Emirates by a mediocre team? No chance, I dont think Asenal will fly all over Prague, But I do think they will eventually put 2 goals past them, same scenario as the Bolton game at the weekend. Finally, Roma, what can ya say eh...They will score, they will concede, I see goals galore in this game!

  13. Re: Champions League 23rd/24th October

Is it confirmed that Torres will not fly? There is some conflicting information. Liverpool site says he will be late decision. Sportinglife writes that he is not onboard the plane to Turkey. Strange.
It would not surprise me if Torres did not travel, Benitez seems to be on Mars of recent and Liverpool truly look lost. Very lucky Against Everton at the weekend. The whole squad rotation this early in the season is a real poor excuse in trying to keep every player happy. Just doesn't work! Ask Martin Jol, he'll tell you! Besiktas V Liverpool is too dodgy to call, Liverpool really havent picked up any consistent form this season and by the looks of things will struggle away to Besiktas, and at very best may scrape a win. Zee :ok
