  1. Re: Ax in last rounds of a Sit'n Go Sorry, I forgot, I am talking about No Limit Hold'em And another question. I am looking for a good book about Sit'n Go tournaments in No Limit Hold'em. I have heard about one from Collin Moshman. Does anybody know where to find it on-line for free? :) Or another good book for these Sit'n Go's? I am looking for on-line books, in free pdf format or available in torrents or something similar :) Hope somebody can help me with my doubts

  2. Hello, I have started playing poker about a couple of months ago, mainly Sit'n Go tournaments (5+0.5$) In a recent tournament, when we were only 3 players remaining (two players with about 6000 chips and the other about 3000 or something similar) the game was very very tight at first rounds. Every player trying to steal blinds, not a lot of defense at first, but when we noticed that strategy, the game became not so tight and players started defending the blinds, calling and raising, but not big pots at all. In this situation, I raised with A 7 offsuited to 3 BB and the other player (the one with least chips) made all-in. I called and he had A 9. And I lost 1/2 of my stack, becoming third player. After several rounds I made an all-in with A 9 offsuited and the same player called with A 10. Again I lost and out of tournament. Is it correct to push all-in or to call all-in in this situation? With three players and Ax? Is it better to wait for a better hand? Try to steal blinds but fold if they re-raise? Some advice here please

  3. Re: Anyone speak spanish? I am Spanish. The conversation means: Call los dos y lo echamos: "Why don`t we both call and put him out of the tourney?" ("echamos" means put out of, eliminate) When the other guy says ok, Espero que no tenga el 5: "I hope he does not have the five" Of course I have written the spanish correctly, they used abbreviations and was not correctly written in order to look for in a dictionary

  4. Re: Creation of a "systems calculator" tool for Punters Lounge Hi, I think it is a great idea :clap. About two months ago I was looking for a similar tool for testing an idea I had. Let me explain the idea and think about it: I would like to look at several soccer leagues: Premier, Spanish... and take the last 5 years results. Perhaps if we examine the number of goals in each match (over or under) we could find a profitable system. For example, betting on all the football matches of the Premier for over result. In the teams that it is over, continue with progressive staking until, for example, 5 matches. If we succeed in "x" progressive stakings during the season, perhaps it is possible to obtain 10-15 % profit using the system. Of course it would be profitable only using a lot of money, but for me it would be ok. The problem is that looking for such a system (over, under, even goals...) would require to take the number of goals of all the matches in several leagues and in the last 5 seasons and run a program in order to look the required parameters. All of you know that every year there is a team with at least 5-7 consecutive matches over. Perhaps it is possible to create a program to check several strategies taking into account only statistics... I hope I explained myself, it is easier to think about it than to explain the idea :unsure I am sorry I can not help with the tool, I have no idea about programming :cry

  5. Re: strategy over 2.5 Well, I am back again. It is a pity the last result: Initial bankroll: 100 units Actual bankroll: 102.12 units Norwegian league, 1 division, Raufoss-Maldalskam H2H meetings: 4/5 over Raufoss home: 4/5 over in last 5 matches home Maldalskam away: 4/5 over in last 5 matches away Stake: 5 units Odd: 1.4 :hope

  6. Re: strategy over 2.5 Norwegian league, Tippeligaen, Stromsgodset-Rosenborg H2H meetings: 4/5 over Stromsgodset home: 5/5 over in last 5 matches home Ronseborg away: 5/5 over in last 5 matches away Stake: 5 units Odd: 1.55 :hope I will be away this week, so I do not know if I will be able to post any matches until next weekend...

  7. Re: strategy over 2.5 Thanks jtw1, nice result :loon Initial bankroll: 100 units Actual bankroll: 103.62 units Total stake: 22.5 units Returned stake: 26.12 units Profit: 16% Let's see if we are able to continue with profit until the end of the leagues...

  8. Re: strategy over 2.5 jtw1, I will continue with single bets, but when the leagues I am now following finish, I will check the same bets I have made using progressive staking and we can compare results ;) For today: Norwegian 1 division, Mandalskam-Haugesund H2H: 4/5 overs Mandalskam at home: 7/8 overs; 7/7 in last 7 matches home Haugesund away: 2/3 overs in last 3 matches away Stake: 5 units Odd: 1.39 :hope

  9. Re: Head-to Head Meetings Hi jtw1, Another nice system :clap Have you been running it for a long time? I mean, is it just a trial of have you obtained profit in several years? Another question, where do you take these statistics from? I mean, H2H previous results. I usually use several webs where you can see only 5 or 6 previous matches, but not more than that...

  10. Re: strategy over 2.5 Sorry jtw1, but I do not know exactly what do you mean by progressive staking :unsure There are a lot of betting expressions in English that I am learning know By the way, 0-3 in the match :ok: Initial bankroll: 100 units Actual bankroll: 101.67 units Total stake: 17.5 Stake returned: 19.17 Profit: 9.5 %

  11. Re: strategy over 2.5 Lets try today in Iceland League (Landsbankadeildin)Akranes-Fylkir Not all the conditions apply here, but almost all: Akranes 6/6 overs at home (10/12 overs in the league) Fylkir. Although there are more unders away, they have been in the initial matches of the league. In last 3 matches away: 2/3 overs. In previous hand to hand matches:4/5 overs Stake: 5 units. Odd: 1.6 :hope

  12. Re: strategy over 2.5 Thank you very much for all your ideas, jtw1. You are the legenday pounter here and I am just trying to make a profitable system similar to yours. I hope to be at least half succesfull as you are :notworthy. I will focus a little more in the last 5/6 results instead of the full season, because otherway I will post only a few matches :). Well, finally Aalesund-Odd Grenland: 2-1. So we continue with the good results. :ok Initial bankroll: 100 units Actual bankroll: 104.125 units :D

  13. Re: strategy over 2.5 A little more difficult today. I do not find any match that meets the criteria 100%, so I will try this match only with the winnings: Tippeligaen, Aalesund-Odd Grenland Previous direct matches: 5/5 overs Aalesund (home): 5/7 over Odd Grenland (away): 4/8 over This is the criteria I dont like :unsure, the others are perfect Stake: 2.5 units Odd: 1.65 If matches that do not meet the criteria 100% are not correct, then I will add in the thread the difference in the yields between betting only in matches that meet all the criteria or betting in all the posted matches ;) I hope this system is profitable in the long run :hope

  14. Well, I will try to apply jtw1 rules for the under 2.5 strategy and try to make it profitable for an over 2.5 strategy. I will not bet real money until I see if I can make the system really profitable in the long run. I will try it with 5 units per match and use betfair for the odds I will start now with Tippeligaen league (60% matches with over 2.5) Brann-Rosenborg 4/5 over in their previous matches between them Brann 8/8 over in home matches Rosenborg 6/7 over in away matches Initial bankroll: 100 units Stake: 5 units; odd 1.5

  15. Re: UNDER 2.5 goals using previous results Thank you, jtw1. A couple of questions more: How many games should have been played in a season to start with the method? I mean, for example in France League, when would you start looking at possible games to bet? And the last one, do you think the same principles could be applied for overs? Thanks again, looking for your posts :loon

  16. Re: UNDER 2.5 goals using previous results jtw1, thank you very much for posting your selections here. I started with betting about one year ago but did not find you system until the end of last season, so I could not follow it. For sure I will follow it this season. I have seen that it has been profitable in the two seasons you have used it. Could you please tell me where I could find the initial thread for this system? I am really interested in knowing the exact system. So in case you could not post here for some reason, I could try to know where to bet for my self. ;) Do you have any excel or any specific rules for the system? Or do you just see for yourself all the matches and decide taking into account last matches and last results in the league? Thank you very much again for this great system :clap:clap:clap
