    First game kicks off tomorrow at the Adelaide Oval. Symonds and Lee are under a fitness cloud but are expected to play. The series is played over 3 games and NZ are actually the holders following their impressive performance earlier this year. My Bets: Aus 1st Inns Total: 331+ ($5.50) In the past 5 matches against NZ where Australia have batted first, they have scored 331+ runs on 4 occasions. The conditions are favourable and Adelaide Oval with it's short square boundaries are a place where runs can flow very freely from the bats of Hayden, Ponting, Symonds et al. **NOTE** If Australia do not bat first this market is VOIDED NZ 1st Inns Total: 301-330 ($11.00) NZ come into this game after being comprehensively beaten in the warm-up T20 match and an ODI series loss at home to South Africa. The square boundaries at Adelaide are short and this can favour players like Vincent, Taylor and Oram. Australia's expectant attack of Lee, Johnson and Tait don't have the best economy rates in the game and if they fail to take many wickets will often concede many runs instead. By no means a certainty but I feel a little bit of value exists in this one. ** NOTE ** If NZ don't bat first this market is VOID ** PS ** NZ have batted first against Australia in just 3 of their last 19 matches!

    Interestingly enough, of the 37 bets, 17 have been on home teams. Only 2 of those home teams have won. Very strange, particularly given I'd have thought home advantage would be fairly significant.

For whatever reason I've gone off the punt, but I have been working on a system which next season I am convinced will be VERY profitable.
