  1. Re: Tennis - 18-24 October Am really fancing Brandts to win as well. He is a much better player on hard courts. But looks like everyone is on the bet, so hope we dont jinx it ;) Even 2.8 for 2-0 looks good. Maybe it has more value than straight up. Coz if the first set is won convincingly by Brandts, as i think might happen, the odds might go down to 1.5ish. Anyways.... just thought i'd put my weight behind. Good luck all.

  2. Re: Cricket: Champions League Twenty20 Yeah got pretty close in the end, but looked safe all the way. What a game ! The market just did not want to accept the wickets in hand factor, which in the end made all the difference. They all have muscles and do golf swings. Wickets in hand are gold. Great tipping again KEVSHAT. Keep it rolling. Punterslounge has all but changed my betting outcomes :) learnt a lot fo control and selective betting. Also the TENNIS forum is doing wonders for someone like me, who not so long ago thought its impossible to win and call tennis games. And i still think u cant call WTA ! Nothing proves this point den last year clijsters-serena game. Lost a million in that i think :) 6-0 0-6 first two sets ! and they were the best 2 players in the tournament. Neways.... sorry for off topic :)

  3. Re: Tennis - US Open Hello guys, Great as this forum is, i'd like to make my point here. This is slowly turning into a live chat during games. It is fun for the posters i beleive, but you guys must be aware by the number of views, that there thousands more who read them as guidelines to their bets. Its better if the forum stays limited to tipping. And persoanlly for me, i like to sometimes go back n check how many bets of tippers came thru and stuff, before i follow someone. But with 50 pages, its becoming very difflicult to do that. Its just my personal opinion to improve the quality of the forum. And read that ATKO wanted opinions on this. Heres mine :) I really have done well in tennis last 5-6 months thanks to likes of ATKO, PSYCHO, GOONER etc. Keep em winners coming. :ok Good luck all.

  4. Re: Cricket: Sri Lanka V India - Test Series One bet inplay for me. Sri lanka have won the toss and elected to bat first. The odds for Sri Lanka are bemusing. Why is a team 3 to beat India in a test match with that Indian line up. I think the safest thing to do is LAY Sri Lanka @ 3. (Betfair) If they do very well, Odds for draw will drop. And if they bundle out under 350, India might get a healthy lead. SO there almost no downside i feel. Thought its an inplay bet, will keep updating in at all.

  5. Re: Cricket: Sri Lanka V India - Test Series Dont have many bets myself for his game, but i'd like to warn whoever is betting on sri lanka. India have come to lanka with intentions to not lose this series. Even they know they cant win it. So expect defensive fields and defensive lenghts. Also the batting line up is as good as it gets in any international test side. Gambhir, Sehwag, Dravid, Sachin, Raina, Yuvi, Dhoni. I dont think it gets much better than this. Dont agree with KEV here on murali. I think hunger cant get u wickets. And murali is way over the hill. Also Indian players over the years have played murali and he has nothing new to bring to the table. Add to that that murali might get overbowled and that might hamper lankas chances to win the match. All in all, it'll be very difficult to have a red in the draw coloumn. Which side u pick to win is each mans perrogative. Odds for India are too high and i agree with ani, but i guess its fair too since theres to spearhead in the fast bowling department. But all the rain around will not let the pitch crack and so i am expecting a dull and boring draw. A match to bet performances of steady players like Gambhir and Sangakkarra. Just my thoughts from an indian point of view, as an indian :) GoodLuck all.

  6. Re: Golf: US Open 2010 Yesterday, Phil mickelson had a amazing day. He looks solid going into the weekend and i cant help thinking that the 3.55 available currently on Betfair is looking very juicy. I dont know if its a good value in terms of GOLf, where odds of anything beloe 7 or 8 dont make sense. But am planning to have a big bite at these odds coz i see another solid day today as he is a big day player and most real threats are way behind. Only Grame McDonald needs to have a bad day for Phil to go down to something like 2.5 and the rest will depend on his own performance, which, if it anywhere close to yesterday. he might be under evens going into sunday. Any thoughts from other golf followers will be appreciated. Am i missing anything ? Planning only, not placed any bets yet. Phil Mickelson to winUS OPEN @ 3.55 Betfair

  7. Re: Golf: US Open 2010

Am not a regular Golf punter, but am quite excited about the US OPEN. With the FIFA World Cup going on, the intrest of punters seems to be less on the golf. After a little research I quite like the look of Dustin Johnson. Dont know if he can perform consistently and make it to the TOP 5. But definetely on the first round, he will have an advantage over other players, as he will feel confident on this course, since he has won a couple of tournaments here. So am having a bite at one market. 1st Round 3 Balls - 02:06 Singh Winner - Dustin Johnson @ 2.38 Betfair & 6/5 @ William Hill (5 points)
Dustin made it pretty easily. He looks solid. Hope he carries on for KEVSHAT's sake :). Made a good profit to start with in GOLF. Now am itching and trying more bets. Or else was just gonna follow the game without wager :D

  9. Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20

Well they say when your luck is out your luck is out and never will that be more apt than tonight. The 6's came in no problem but how the Collingwood bet doesn't come in I'll never know. Henderson conceded 6 off his 1st over, just 1 off his 2nd over when for some reason the biggest hitter in the county game was sweeping and missing :wall, 6 off his 3rd and 9 off his 4th to set Collingwood 5.50 an over. After 2 overs Collingwood was 7 off 2 overs - 3.50 an over. Then Matthew Hoggard, king of the forward defensive, comes along and hits only the 2nd 6 in his career than gets out next ball to leave Collingwood on 5.57 an over. You really couldn't make it up :wall:wall:wall. Still, despite all that the 6's bet ensured a 1.5pt profit for the day to put me back to -24.32 for the competition now.
When ur luck is out, its out. But a great pick mate nonetheless !
  10. Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20

Another day of bad fortunes. Not going to dwell on it but I ended the day -2.79pts so now down to -25.82pts. Confidence is starting to take a hit in this competition now. I'm in a place I've not been before in that I'm 25pts down in a county competition, one I usually do very well in historically too. I called the TV matches right roday though and there's a TV match right through until next Monday now so hopefully I can start eating into this defecit ASAP. One match tomorrow.

Yeah your overall assesment has been good. Just the markets chosen are not working out. Though ur comments are doing just fine for me. Got stuck into runs yesterday as you mentioned abt pitch 4 at lords and boundries easily available. Made an handsome profit. Albeit thanks to the second last ball 6 over point. Flat bat. which got them to 199 and the final bye which brought in my 200th run :) Even layed Middlesex @ 1.10 for fun as the lower middle order looked good. And you spoke about foster being in good form ( who btw was pathetic yesterday) and greened out @ 1.65. SO overall a great game for me, based on ur assesment. So all in all u just about there, but not just quite. Kepe digging mate. All thats in our hand is to work hard. The results will take care of themselves :hope
  11. Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20

Hit and miss night for me. Luckily I hit the ones I needed to in order to ensure a small profit of 0.52pts on the night. Not a huge profit but with the defecit I'm in at the minute in this competition I'll settle for it. I'm back to -11.86 for the tournament now ahead of a big set of fixtures tomorrow with a TV game which is Hampshire vs Somerset.
Well you very nearly missed the J Cameroon bet. Have been a follower of ur bets since a long time and just want to let you know that you are doing a fantastic job mate. You are helping us punters take these bookies on, in more ways than even u know. Your comment on Worcs bowling being awful helped me big time. I betted big on Notts to score 43+ runs in the first 6 overs and made a handsome profit. So its not only ur bets, but ur overall opinion is priceless. Just wanted to point this out to you. Am sure u understand what i mean. KUDOS ! :ok Keep em coming.
  12. Re: Tennis - French Open Hello Guys, Not a poster in tennis forums myself. But like Perry, a regular follower. Though i do play decent stakes. Some great tippings and so just wanted to give the posters a KUDOS :ok Keep up the good work. Though from todays tippings, i dont think anyone is quite sure what to xpect. Likely winners are very discounted and all the lines, too stretched or odds too low. So looks like a day to enjoy tennis with a beer in your hand, rather than betting slips :lol Am not gonna act like am a professional and so just am giving a tip on gut feeling. Youzyny - Berdych 35 - 40 games @ 3/1 A risky bet, so maybe low stakes. But just feel a lot of scenarios point to this bet and the odds are healthy. My first post in tennis, so maybe beginners luck. :D Good Luck all.

  13. Re: Cricket: England vs Bangladesh - Test Series I dont mean to be rude to anyone, but just want people to be careful while spread betting. It will make you sell your house, sooner or later. Sooner rather than later. In regard to the Iqbal bet, its a defi no no. Infact ders more chance of seeing $$$ if u sell the bet then to buy. Iqbal may just make 2 scores of 20-25 and u might see a 18 tics profit. But in any case, all the best to you. Coz it wudnt hurt me if Iqbal scored a double hundred ;) Cheers!

  14. Re: Cricket: ICC World Twenty20 2010 On the night of the Pakistan - Australia semi final, England came very close to winning their first world cup. Now again, they have a huge hurdle to cross. Ideally, you can only control your side of the draw and you should not worry about the other side. But its easier said than done. Now, they must be wondering what one has to do to beat this australian side. Who can score 53 off 16 balls after being 7 down, and chasing ! Absolutely marvellous from Mr. Cricket. Boy has he justified his title. Three bets for me for the finals. 10/10 Australia to beat England @ 1.58 betfair I am not going to give any reasons for this, as all of them can be counter argued. Its more of the confidence i have had in Australia throughout the tournament. I usually am a balanced punter, but not when australia is playing. And definetely not when they are in such form that they think they can win from anywhere. Another team i have favoured throughout the tournament is England, but sadly i think its time for them to lose another world cup. 5/10 Mitchell Johnson to beat Steve Smith @ 8/11 William Hill On this barbados wicket, one thing u can be sure is that it will favour the quicks more. So to get a match bet of a seamer against a spinner is good for us. More so when the spinner is not a world class bowler. He might not even bowl his full quota of overs, if he gets the stick. On the other hand, Mitchell Johnson will more often than not bowl his full quota and even one wicket might win him this bet. So i feel very confident abt this one. 1/10 Eoin Morgan top England Batsman @ 5/1 William Hill Eoin Morgan will again be playing a key role here if england are to make a match out of this. Once the opening overs are gonna, he and KP will be responsible for keeping the runrate moving. Think this is a good price with only 1 or 2 real competetors for the top scorer. Obvs these bets are very risky to call, and its more of a gut feeling. So small stakes. Another bet i am tempted to make is morgan to beat collingwood, but just not able to find the confidence to make it. Collingwood is a big match player. So will keep that on hold, atleast for now. Go aussie! One last time! Good Luck all.

  15. Re: Cricket: ICC World Twenty20 2010

tbh... your wish of ajmal 5 for is looking more probable, then mine :lol Lets hope aussies show us that they can win from anywhere. Though my confidence has come down a looong way southwards, from where it was ;) But i will lose gracefully. Go aussie !!
Thats what i mean when i say lets go biggggg on aussie ! HA HA HA :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy +7.8 for the day +26.8 overall.
  16. Re: Cricket: ICC World Twenty20 2010

Yeah wasn't getting at you mate. Was just saying I think Australia will win but I don't bet at the price. Particularly in this format haven't been burnt too often in the past :$. Landslide Aussie win with an Ajmal 5 for an we're both happy :cheers.
